Location, staff, breakfast, coffee, and tea.
Room- no real storage other than closet to hang things. the temperature was regulated centrally so even though the temperature was 23° outside one night it was 77° inside the room, we told them it was too warm the next morning it was 64°… A little too cool. Also we like more light. It was my fault in that I didn’t check all the amenities. We had just stayed a hotel with a mini refrigerator and microwave which this room didn’t have.

Stephan was very helpful. The building is old but recently renewed Amenities are from molton brown and size of the flat was huge.
Breakfast is not even for a 3 stars. Some day they forgot to make the cleaning in the bedroom and they made discount at the end. Phone stopped working. Smart tv was not working. The shower regulation is very complicated and mine was broke. Lot of noises coming from some fan engines of close building. They need to put sound proof windows.

This was a pleasant hotel and is very well located in Philadelphia. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a nice, varied continental buffet. There were plenty of restaurants in the immediate area. There was water and coffee in both the room and in the lobby.
The safe in the room was broken and not repaired during our visit, it was bit chilly in the room and we were unable to adjust the heat and the bathroom was a bit worn. They did not service the rooms every day and it was necessary to ask for service specifically if you wanted this. Since we were there for several days, it would have been nicer to at least have had service every other day without having to specifically request it.

Location was fantastic and the room was very comfortable. There's a great bar attached to the hotel and the bartenders are excellent. Breakfast was also enjoyable, a fairly simple affair (hard boiled eggs, toast/pastry options, yoghurt and fresh fruit) but it was all fresh and perfect to start the day.
This didn't detract from my stay, but the bathroom was slightly dated and well-worn. Don't let this deter you though – I'd stay again.

I didn't use the breakfast option. I went to my daughter's as soon as I could.
The stopper on my sink failed to work properly --- it got stuck on closed. Nobody's fault. One suggestion I would make that's more serious is the type of light bulbs and lighting in the room (The Jane) I used. The bedside lights were useless for reading books at bedtime. The wall sconces were WAY too glaring (please, no LED lights! at least not the kind that are glaring white, especially in an old building). The ceiling lights were placed in a way that didn't help reading in bed. So the lighting concept was wrong for the room.

Beautiful hotel in a historic building just off Rittenhouse Sqiuare. Really comfortable beds, complimentary tea/coffee water and a great continental breakfast. But it was the super friendly staff that made the hotel stand out, particularly the amazing Doug on reception . Would 100% staff here again.

The hotel is so beautiful! We stayed there for my husband's 40th birthday. The amenities were great, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the continental breakfast was!
The only negative thing I can say is that the person working the front desk was not friendly at all. She didn't greet us and her general demeanor made it seem like she was annoyed. In contrast, the next morning there was another person at the front desk who was absolutely lovely!

breakfast was all it needed to be, varied, fresh, & tasty. The location of the hotel is perfect, quiet street yet within a block of Ritt Sq. Nice roomy room & the quietest hotel I can ever remember.

We stayed in the Belle Opaque room, which was an upgrade from the room I booked. It was very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the linens and towels were luxurious. It had a separate large living room with a fireplace that felt like being in an old city home. The rooms were very clean. The location was perfect for the Rittenhouse part of the city -- close to the park, stores, and restaurants, yet on a quiet side street. The staff was helpful, when asked about a place to keep dinner leftovers cold, they quickly brought in a portable fridge, and got wine glasses on our request. I chose this hotel, because the larger, chain ones I typically stay at were fully booked, and I'm glad we did.
These are not dislikes, but just suggestions for improvement. The living room only had very bright recessed ceiling lights, which took away from the ambiance. A suggestion would be to put in a floor lamp or a dimmer switch on the ceiling lights. The room was warm and I couldn't really seem to get it cooler -- I probably just didn't spend enough time trying to figure out the controls for each room. For the price of the room at a high end boutique, it would be nice to have real glassware, rather than paper cups. Water pressure in the shower wasn't great.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very nice and comfortable. Great location.
Shower and tub. Very weak water pressure. Glad I went out for breakfast - I was surprised they included free continental breakfast but it was pretty bare bones.
