The staff was great. Gift shop was huge. Caboose theme was perfect for us and our grandson. Petting zoo had 3 piglets, super cute! The on site buggy rides were a huge hit with our 8 year old (and us). We went twice! The Toy Train museum is within walking distance and it was awesome. Loved it.

The sleeping berths were really narrow. But after all, it was a train.

This was our family's 3rd trip. First time me and husband stayed in the honeymoon caboose which had a whirlpool tub. The second time was in the farmhouse which was very nice and spacious since we had our 2 children and my mom with us. This time we stayed in the baggage car which was very spacious and comfortable. My 3yr old loves the animals and being able to see the train up close when it comes by. Casey Jones restaurant is very reasonably priced and the food is delightful. The location is great as well! Very close to lancaster and Strasburg railroad.

The only thing would be that we had neighbors on this last trip so of felt that the car rocked in the morning when they moved around and could hear indistinct conversations in the evening.

The staff at the hotel and restaurant are very kind and friendly. The property is clean and comfortable. There's a free petting zoo that my husband and I enjoyed just as much as the kids. There's a mini arcade, buggy rides, and you can watch the trains past by. That was the highlight for my husband and 5-year-old son. The food is so good and is reasonably priced. We had some car trouble, and the staff wasted no time helping us. My 15-year-old daughter is ready to move to Amish country because of the Red Caboose Motel! We'll definitely be back and for a longer period of time.

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place, its people or its location at all. It was better than what we expected.

Location,fun concept and adventure, everything was very clean, super friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and our waiter was top notch. Tiva was wonderful to show us around the wedding venue.

The mattress was a little too soft for me, but I did sleep well. However, I woke up with a sore low back. Also, in the bathroom needs a place to hang your towel and clothes. I had to put my towel on closed toilet lid and clothes on the back of the toilet.it could use a bathroom command strip to hang your wash cloth. I can deal with mattress, but I hate not having a place to hang stuff up in the bathroom. This would be an easy fix.

Room was great the kids loved staying in a train. The cute petting zoo was a nice touch! The restaurant onsite was also a good touch but I felt like it was pretty overpriced. I did like the that train ride for Strasburg was right next door pretty much!

The restaurant onsite was pretty overpriced for what we got. It was the most expensive meal of our entire 5 day trip! They also missed something in our order, and we had to go back and wait after paying $75 for the meal.

Adorable and cozy! We got a half couples caboose so very small but really cozy, comfortable and clean and a good price too!

The only thing I didn't like was I feel like there could be a couple more touches inside that particular caboose to make it look a little more homey, I loved the curtains, they looked hand sewn! but everything else was just white, that's really not a complaint as much as personal preference. The coffee in the room was bad but that's to be expected at pretty much any motel, just bring your own

The kids loved this & so did I. My father had worked for the Boston & Maine Railroad, so I thought this sounded like a neat idea. There were full size beds for the adults & bunks for the kids. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. It was clean & there was TV, small fridge, Microwave & coffee maker in room. We found some nice items in the gift shop. We had dinner & breakfast at the Restaurant. Restaurant was a dining car with tables. Food & service was great. Everyone was friendly & nice. They have a petting zoo with horses, llama, pig & goat. It is Omish country so there was horse drawn carriages. There was a book in the room showing things in the area & there also was pamphlets in the gift shop. Was on our way home from visiting with family & the kids had to get back for school. I wouldn't mind going back & staying longer to do things in the area. I took lots of pictures. Even got up to take picture at sunrise. Beautiful area.

Caboose has been on our list to stay for the past 5 years and finally it has happened. Our Caboose was just what we needed. Comfortable and quaint. Everything you needed was right there and in quantity. Even a special little touch of the Bible opened to a Bible verse. I really liked that.!! My girls thought the caboose was small, but of course teens adapt after they got settled from riding in the car for over 6 hours and then they ventured off around the property. They loved seeing the animals and feeding them, and taking our horse and buggy ride was a nice change for the girls. Our driver watched our horse team with care as vehicles passed by. At Casey Jones, for breakfast you have to get the blueberry stuffed french toast it was phenomenal. They used real cream cheese, instead of that sugary stuff like Ihop does. Being diabetic, it made my mouth water with every bite. They are doing construction with new buildings going up I'm eager to see in the next couple of years of how it turns out.

The "Caboose" was very unique and fun to stay in . Very comfortable beds, clean and there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Air conditioning unit was very adequate for the hot weather outside. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Grounds were clean. Casey's restaurant in the dining car was a nice touch. Breakfast was great and the prices were extremely reasonable.

Just a minor thing. The paint on some of the cabooses should be redone as they're chipped and not looking so great.

My kids love the bunkbeds. It was something we had never done before. They liked what was offered on the property. The restaurant was convenient too

I didn’t like that the train was leaning to one side, it made sleeping difficult. The air conditioning was loud. In the back air conditioner, smell like mildew. So we will run it and then turn it off and then everything got too hot, We would turn it back on. Who is there was coffee available either or checkout wise or near the restaurant.
