The Abernathy is located perfectly with access to the downtown Clemson and the campus. It was very clean and the room was very large. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I wish breakfast and especially coffee had been included with our stay. I'm sure these details were included in the terms listed when I made the reservation. However, this wouldn't prevent me from recommending the hotel and was only a minor inconvenience.

We absolutely love the attention to detail that the staff/owners put into this hotel/room. The shower is such an important thing to us, especially after a long day of travel and we agree that it was the best shower for a hotel we've probably ever had! The cleanliness exceeded my expectations, as we are "clean freaks" and the bed was super comfortable, which is always the most important to everyone traveling. The avocado toast, latte and waffle were delicious!! We would ONLY stay at the Abernathy when visiting Clemson in the future...thank you so much for the fantastic experience!

I honestly can't think of anything we didn't like...maybe provide some slippers for guests, since the rooms have wood floors (which I appreciate instead of nasty carpeting!) , but slippers are more comfortable than not, if you don't remember to pack socks or your own :)

onsite bar and quaint breakfast was perfect for us. I liked the decor of the room-it was not a basic room in a chain hotel. There was a very nice counter for coffee and food prep, full length mirror, some space to move around and a simple table to share a meal. There is walkable options for food and you're across the street from Clemson 's campus and very close to the football stadium. We walked to the softball field and it was about 10 easy minutes. perfect!

The pull out bed matress was very thin (although thats probably all that can fit).

Location, cleanliness, ample room space and comfortable beds- all excellent. Also free parking for guests is a true plus.

Breakfast/coffee is my only criticism of our otherwise wonderful stay. I went down to the lobby at 7:30 am and no one was working in the coffee and breakfast area and the front desk staff was busy and not readily available to help. Having at least coffee available as many other hotels do would have made our stay perfect.

We stayed here to take our student back to school and this hotel has now become our go to for sure . The room was quite large and very clean . The staff was super polite and friendly as well . Walking distance to both stadiums and downtown. We can’t wait to return here next visit .

Everything about this property was ideal from the staff to the welcoming environment to the spacious and luxurious rooms. Cannot wait to stay again. Thank you for taking care of my family and for the treats for our pup.

Location perfect, great for university events.

Room was great, spacious, clean, nice, with the little kitchenette bar, everything good, except the bed and pillows for me were a way too firm and I didnt sleep too well. My wife did not agree though so I know this is a personal preference.

We were attending a soccer match so the location was the reason we chose The Abernathy but we will make a point of staying here again because of the facility and the staff. Everyone we interacted with were beyond exceptional.

There wasn’t a single thing to not like except that we were only able to stay one night.

1. No gym!!!! 2. Loud at night due to band performing at The Esso Club nearby until about 11:30 p.m. on a Thursday night.

Location. Had beds for both our kids and a king bed for us! Bar onsite for a drink in the evening.
