Staff, cleanliness and a decent mattress. Hispanic neighbourhood was particularly nice as this always means good family run street food, Taqueria la Cascada is just across the road. Bus stop to Downtown is also very close.

Having white venetian blinds with a light outside is always going to leave the room room lit up at night, this is my only complaint. This aside, accommodation and staff were excellent for a 2 star rating :)

I like this location alot ,convenient to alot of places. Great wifi service.. But overall , I like the location and the place is always clean and quite . My top favorite on the north side of Austin.. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

My last visit was suppose to a relaxing five nites.I was put in a room suppose to have been for one nite, then moved to my five nite stay room. Well I was told the next day, stay where I'm at, and that bed was like sleeping on a padded bench at the airport. I'm to old for a daily routine of that..

this was great! I honestly didn't know what to expect from a hostel but this was surprisingly comfortable, clean and spacious! the staff was nice, would totally recommend

Its not the closest to downtown but its alright, also make sure you book the private bathroom on your reservation incase you need it

I've been looking for budget accomodation in Austin, yet I've found little. Booking.com said it recently add this inn. I rejoice, as not only did I find budget accomodation, I found in it North Austin. I hope the property manager liked me as a guest, because I think he excelled at hospitality. He seems to take pride in his work in a way that is rare today. He inconvenienced himself to accommodate my routines, so I am grateful. The property is charming. It is turquoise, which is a color I dig. My stay there was full of quietness and tranquility, two of my favorite experiences in life. To top it off, the property manager gave me 4 complementary "toiletries". One of which was mouthwash, which brought me joy, because I didn't bring my mouthwash along so I feared going without, so thank you. The best price motel in Austin I found with excellence of old fashioned hospitality.

Not too much

Overall, you won't find a better place for your money. The owner is very kind, albeit a little eccentric. I wasn't sure how showers would be since they aren't in the room, but it wasn't a problem - probably even better in some ways than a small shower would be in a bathroom. You get an entire shower room by yourself. I was just there one night and this place was the most convenient little place. Might even stay there again at some point. There's a convenience store around the corner and a food truck. Also, it was quiet and I slept well. Bottom line - to be able to find something at half the price or less of everything around it during peak times was a godsend.

There were some downsides, but they didn't outweigh the pros. Clearly the building was old. Even though everything was pretty clean, the bed smelled a bit odd. Definitely not the end of the world for me. Reminded me of a school, but not in a bad way really. You could say there might be sketchy people around, but everyone I actually ran into seemed pretty okay and/or cool. TV even had some free movies.

Quiet, less traffic, staff, security, easy parking...

Doesn't have coffee maker in the room, no hand soap or body soap in/for shower, no hand size wash clothe with towels provided.

It was rather quiet, and cheaply priced. The staff was very nice and understanding, the room was clean and our room had its own shower.

The main hall smells of cigarettes and the surrounding neighborhood is kind of dingy. Not really a place you’d walk around at night. It’s a little rough.

Cleanliness & hospitality :). This is the best hotel you can book in Austin for the price. NO BUGS unlike every single hotel in the area. Comfortable beds and very convenient

The surrounding area which is completely out of their control, the hotel itself felt very safe.

I like no one touch my stuff while I am out of the room.

They don’t have iron, iron boards, and hangers. I didn’t know there is $50 deposit which I don’t mind paying.
