Location was great,breakfast was great, management was great & accomodating! There was a few staff members that needs some further coaching which eas brought to managements attention! Also upon departure time needed to use hotels computer for guest to print boarding passes etc it was operating at the time so I made front desk aware of the issue but never got feed back from employee being a hotel guest that it was tepaired.

A few employees at desk an bar needs customer service coaching! I felt the need to bring certain issues to management regarding service and communication concerns.

I am a Houston native and lived there for 18 years growing up. I was returning to town for my high school reunion, so I know the city VERY well. I've always thought of Houston hotel options as, frankly, pretty dismal — typically you're paying 300-400+ per night for a super weak/unimpressive Marriott or other chain. When I came across this boutique hotel in City Center, I decided to go for it. It exceeded EVERY expectation and was an absolutely phenomenal hotel in every way. The staff was excellent, the location can't be beat — and especially if you're a visitor, it offers the very rare (for Houston) access to walkable shops and restaurants — and the room was giving 5-star luxury hotel. The common areas in the lobby, restaurants, and pool were absolutely stunning. I'll never stay anywhere else in Houston again.

Truly nothing — this was a 10/10.

Loved the room, the friendliness of the staff, the daily free infused water and coffee, bar staff was great, lots of surrounding options and vibrant atmosphere. Parking is also a plus. Front desk also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine!

Breakfast was just decent. If they’re going to charge for it they should put a bit more effort into the flavor and hotness. Fruit and yogurt and other cold options were great. Room should come with shower cap but you probably have to request one from housekeeping or front desk which I didnt.

If you travel to Houston and are looking for a place to stay where you have a good selection of restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the hotel, I would highly recommend looking at the Citycentre where Beltway 8 intersects with I10. In this area, The Moran is an excellent option to stay. I have used this hotel for 10+ years and always come back. The hotel was a little bit "shinier" some years back, but the package of location, facilities, restaurants and hotel quality is hard to beat in Houston.

The hotel has changes name over the years, but very little renovation has been conducted. It is still a very good hotel, but maybe it is time to freshen up some parts of the hotel?

Our room, a junior suite, was comfortable.

Simple buffet was over-priced given the few choices available. 2nd floor lobby did not offer a warm, inviting feeling. No comfortable waiting area to meet friends. Free bottled water in the room would be appreciated. We had one bottle provided for our four-day stay. One per person per day would be a nice, simple treat. Our TV (both sets) had transmission problems which was annoying and kept us from using either one.

The Moran is in an excellent location. It's located in the heart of top rated restaurants,coffee shops, shopping, and things to do. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. I loved that the shower pressure was great with hot running water. Also glad that the shower had a barrier between floor and walk in shower (many hotels don't have this which leads to water on the floor outside of the shower). Room comes with a refrigerator, coffee maker, additional toiletries. No microwave, but that was no worries. If you're looking for a beautiful hotel, great location where you can avoid Freeway to go to other attractions nearby this is for you!

I didn't like the fact that there's construction at the hotel until April 4th. I wish that this was communicated to me prior to booking this week because I would've postponed until pool, gym, and live music in hotel were open. Thankfully, there was a small live music event right next door at Radio Milano. My husband also had back pain from the bed. They do sit low. I was fine though. (Extra pillows may help for those that get back pain). If pool and gym were open I believe I'd give this hotel a 10. I will definitely be back.

I like the new remodel rooms since the last time I visited. Decorated very bright and luxurious. The staff was nice. Love the access to all the restaurants and live music. We had an amazing view from our room of city center.

I wish they had something going on for New years for the guest. The party was way too expensive and blocked the pool area. Parking was confusing, but it seems like shared parking for everything. Couldn't find the elevators.

It was conveniently next to the conference center I was attending a meeting at. Great parking option in the garage. Great options for breakfast and dinner and the option to have it delivered to my room. The hotel was also conveniently around shopping and restaurants and a movie theater in walking distance.

Very nice hotel, very clean. Room was very spacious, clean, bed comfortable and pillows were perfect. Air conditioning did not disappoint. Did not visit pool area. Multiple stores to shop at and multiple places to eat within walking distance we did not have to take the vehicle off the premises until check out. Staff very friendly and helpful.

No vending machines in the hotel-can drinks were $4 so definitely bring your own snacks

Location was excellent. I loved that there was free parking, and that you could just walk to restaurants and stores around the hotel. The park view right infront of the hotel was lovely too, and having a floor-to-ceiling window with that view was fantastic. Also loved the hardwood floors, a welcome refresher compared to most hotels' musty room carpeting.

Nothing, really. Hot breakfast options were rather limited, but I liked that there was a lot of fruit. Only thing that would make the room better is if the shower also included a handheld attachment for the harder to reach places, but that would just be a plus point for personal convenience.
