Great breakfast and cocktail hour with courteous helpful staff. Great to see so many families with young children (is that a weekend special? Very smart.) Also, in a turbulent time, good to see so much diversity in tne guests, everyone polite and getting along. Also — on a pouring rainy day — convenient to the train to DC. Parking also a big plus.

One criticism. In the evening, a young family with three kids attempted to eat outside food in the atrium. Staff made them leave, and l think, humiliated the parents. That’s small minded. And other families were eating pizza and McDonalds. Dinners out are expensive with kids and this was unwelcoming. Please rethink it. There’s a Mexican place my wife and l like and one thing l always admire about it is that they’re really flexible with kids. Let them bring pizza or whatever for a fussy three-year-old who won’t eat enchiladas.

This is a fabulous choice for families. The rooms are spacious, the common areas (atrium, lobby) are large enough to 'spread out.' Young kids will find the glass elevator very exciting. The breakfast choices are plentiful and well staffed with the made to order omelettes being the highlight. I appreciated the spaciousness of our room which had plenty of natural light. The towels are plush and soft! The location is superb. Steps from the Metro, King Street and a grocery store (Whole Foods).

The rooms are getting a bit dated so not everything is in its best working order. For instance, the blackout curtain in our bedroom was not working properly--getting stuck in the tracks. The door closure for our room has seen better days, etc. Parking is expensive ($38/day) and the spaces very narrow. However, it's nice that it's in the building, accessible via elevator. Except for the omelettes I didn't love the breakfast choices. I would have preferred some healthier options.

The lobby was amazing, so clean. The free breakfast was great. The staff was so kind. I am very picky about hotel rooms, and this room was great! Very very clean! I came with my family and the i felt comfortable letting my baby crawl around the hotel room (which you know can be hard to trust). The location was amazing! So much to walk around and see and do, lots of coffee shops & places to stop and eat. It was such a friendly and clean town.

I would have to say the only “bad” thing and i would barely call it bad was the pool.. it was nice they had a hot tub but ill say when we went (maybe it was bc it was the end of the day) there was alot of hair all over the floor you could barely walk without clumps of hair being everywhere as well as inside the pool…

The location and atrium are the best parts of this hotel. Free breakfast is great. Embassy is in walking distance to the Amtrak and the metro which made things incredibly easy for my group.

The parking fee and wifi fee are overpriced. Luckily there is a metro station across the street so my group did not need a car, but we were all unhappy with the steep wifi charges. For a hotel with as many wonderful amenities, I would expect WiFi to be included.

Every single thing. From the staff, to the early check in , to the late check out, to the proximity to the train station and FREE trolley, to the amazing free breakfast, to the amazing complimentary drinks during happy hour, to the size of the rooms, the comfort of the beds, the free toiletries…. We stay in a lot of hotels. This one tops them all. If we return to Alexandria, we will definitely stay here again.

Nothing. My husband is terrified of heights. So if you have a great fear of heights, just ask to be on floor 3 or lower. They are extremely accommodating at this hotel. I can’t imagine it being an issue.

Breakfast was good. I like the free drinks and snacks from 5:30-7 each evening, however, they needed more than one bartender as the line was somewhat long.

As mentioned above a second bartender during the 5:30-7 evening drink/snack time would have helped with the long line. The parking garage entrance felt tight, but I'm not sure what can be done about that.

Place is very nice. Great breakfast compared to other hotels. Happy hour is very nice. Brings people out of their rooms to enjoy their stay. Highly recommend.

Parking in DC is bad everywhere. I have a full size 4 door truck we were going to bring . Brought our car instead. Glad we did all parking not just Embassy is so tight. Your garage was more than adequate for us.

Traveling by train, this hotel is across the street from train station. Also, several restaurants within walking distance g distance - and there is a free trolley pick up across the street to go to restaurant row. Evening reception and made to order breakfast. Indoor pool.

A little pricey for the market, but Embassy always is a little higher. The evening reception (two free drinks is per person each night) and made to order breakfast helps make up for extra cost.

Perfect location, less than a mile from my granddaughter’s apartment. Breakfast was very nice with several options.

At check in, front desk person wasn’t very friendly, He didn’t explain how the parking garage worked, just told me where it was. Room key didn’t seem to give access to garage so I ended up paying $36 to park and I think it should have been free. He could have smiled and offered more info.

We liked the breakfast and the happy hour food. We enjoyed sitting in the atrium and talking with other family members who came for a family reunion. We love the location. We took the metro into Washington DC.

When we first arrived, the gentleman at the desk could not find our reservations. After I showed him an email, he was able to find the reservation. We booked through a third party. It was a minor problem.
