Great location very close to the Metro. Appreciated the Starbucks in the lobby opening at 6am as we are early risers. The room was very spacious and comfortable. This hotel is at the 'tip' of Old Town. Easily walkable up and down King Street and to the Waterfront if you are mobile.

I suffer from allergies so the wall to wall carpet was problematic for me--you could see deep pockets of dust in the corners. Note: the "pur" rooms also have wall to wall carpet, drapes, etc. so there is not much relief there from dust mites if you are sensitive. Also, I was surprised that there was no water urn in the lobby to refill water bottles. Even lower end hotels offer this! We traveled in July during a heat wave so access to cold water would have been nice. We just used tap water in the bathroom. There is a water fountain (bubbler) in the conference wing but the water there tastes stale/chemically treated. And comes out in a trickle!

Beautiful hotel, Starbucks was an added bonus, dining room for breakfast was excellent. The buffet in the am was lovely. The men running the dining room were kind and considerate to guests. The facility has a beauty and elegance with furnishings, wallpaper and carpet. Polished. Elegant. The additional security on the elevator is appreciated. I felt Safe and Comfortable in the hotel and I will stay again. Thank you.

I could not find hotel information, as a booklet in my hotel room. I did not find a channel on the TV that had hotel information. Location of ice & vending was unknown to me. I did not know where the workout room was located/ nor the swimming pool/business computer. Traveling for pleasure, I had wanted to use the workout room and the computer for business,

Our trip was centered around touring the DC area, and the location of the Hilton Alexandria Old Town could not have been better! Minutes from the metro stop with lines that gave access to so many great places to see was ideal & part of why we chose this hotel. It did not disappoint. We loved the quaint charm of the Old Town area and walkability once we returned from sightseeing daily.

For double beds, they were still snug sleeping two people per bed, so for a family of four, nights were a little restless. The beds & pillows themselves were comfortable but the space was very tight.

When we got to our room, the hallway and the room had a strong urine smell. I asked to be moved to a different room and the staff moved us without question. The next room was clean and didn't have a smell. Our first room was on the unsecured second floor. The other floors you need a room key to access the floor. The second room was on the fourth floor and was in much better shape. The staff came through for us and took care of us.

The staff were very friendly and the location extremely convenient.

Had neck and back pain every day from the pillows and the bed. The room had a musty smell that didn't go away no matter what I did. Not being able to open the windows was possibly a factor. My bedsheets had stains on them, and the bathtub was never thoroughly cleaned.

However, some guests prefer not to have a Starbucks nearby, which would enrich the overall stay experience.

Nice location on King Street, about half an hour walk to the Potomac and all the bars and restaurants. The hotel room was large with 2 queen beds, a large TV & console, desk with chair and an armchair with footstool. Bedside table in between the 2 beds. Air con worked well and blackout curtains were a bonus. Large bathroom with bath and shower over. Toiletries were very nice. Friendly staff. Near metro line.

Only had complimentary water first night and tea/coffee/milks were nor replenished until day 3. No kettle, so had to use coffee maker for water for tea. No grooming kit (had expected one as I saw complimentary toiletries...).

Would have rated it higher, but a special event when we were checking out made it very difficult to get my handicapped mother. Lots of surly non hotel security not wanting us to use the driveway, and roping off parts of the hotel, making it difficult to get around the coffee shop. Also, we’re disappointed they closed the restaurant for holidays but not mentioned on website. Finally, many members of our group got food poisoning from the coffee machine downstairs.

Location was absolutely what I was looking for coming from Dulles airport and catching the Amtrak the following morning

It advertises a coffee maker and kettle, but my room did not have one. The room was too big for a solo traveller, but no smaller rooms were available so I feel I overpaid.

everything except cost of parking should be free and the ability to correct a fradulant charge made in the dinning area.it was taken care of however it was inconvient and time consuming to fix a problem that should be easyier to rectify.
