Easy to find, quick checkin, clean room and reliable wifi along with a typical Hampton Inn breakfast made this a comfortable stay. The fitness room was easy to access and all the equipment worked. Room had a microwave and refrigerator and a choice of restaurants within a short walk. Plenty of power outlets for charging. The hotel texted me directly before arrival asking if I had any questions and was responsive and the desk staff was helpful and friendly.

Furniture in the room was a little worn and dated compared to a more up to date Hampton property.

Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful, you can ask them anything and they will give u the best advice. It's was so clean, the room came with a microwave, fridge, towels, body soap, shampoo, body cream, hair conditioner, face soap, a small tissue box, and a very comfy bed + a bed sofa extra blanket, a safebox. Breakfast was amazing! And each day was different. Pet friendly.

No toiletries, bathrobe, or slippers. Hate that everyone says its old!

Has own free parking, lots of restaurants and things nearby, easy commute to DC for tourist attractions, room was spacious and clean, complimentary shampoos etc..., fresh baked cookies were yummy (my daughter's fave thing lol.

TV did not work (luckily I had a book) it was late when we realized it anyways, bed was a little firm for my liking, tub is U shaped and a little slick (easy to fix with some non slip stickers), breakfast was not appealing.

When we initially arrived, we were assigned a room (by an unfriendly clerk) on the first floor that was extremely humid, and smelled strongly of mold and mildew… being very allergic to mold, I was unable to accept this room. We were then assigned to a room with a bed and pull out couch… my friend and I both have bad backs… the next day, I spoke with the hotel staff members, Joseph and Karina Re: what I had requested, and what I had experienced so far… they found us a Great room, and made the stay here very pleasant. I truly believe we would have had to leave if it had been left up to the first, admitting clerk discretion to accommodate us. Joseph and Karina are two, true Assets to this facility.. Joseph shared so much insight on how to handle transportation to my sight seeing trip.. Btw, the breakfast staff is also very nice and accommodating.

The breakfast was really very good. The staff were extremely helpful. My luggage got left behind on my flight in, and they were super attentive to getting it back to me. I stayed here twice over the weekend with a brief break in between, and they assured me if my luggage had arrived when I was gone, they would be able to get it to me when I came back for my second stay.

Starting with the staff at the front desk the gentleman was absolutely wonderful. They noticed I had wanted a handicap room and not only did the front desk clerk work to make sure I was able to get the room I needed because of mobility issues but the manager, an absolutely wonderful woman came out to reassure me that they would make the accommodation needed to make sure I was comfortable. Then when I came back downstairs to find out where I could get some water the gentleman at the front desk gave me two bottles and let me know that the fantastic cookies, I smelled cooking would be ready at 5 pm which I made sure to be downstairs to get. I thought the cookies were a really terrific touch along with the coffee that was still available. The parking was convenient even when I came back later in the evening from dinner. I have traveled extensively for work and personal enjoyment and found this hotel to be one of my absolute favorites for the caring consideration that everyone I encountered provided, for the great breakfast and the comfortable room and bed. I highly recommend The Hampton Alexandria and look forward to visiting that hotel again.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about my stay here. It was really one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I've had in quite some time.

This was a great location for our one day trip to DC. It was close enough to hop on the highway and be in DC in 15-30 minutes depending on traffic, and close enough to park at a local mall to take the subway into the city if we had chosen to. Room was very clean, comfy and had microwave and fridge and lots of great storage in the bathroom, closet, and room. it was a great use of the space. Beds/pillows/linens were comfy. Our safe didn't work, but we only stayed one night, so it wasn't a big issue and we forgot to inform the front desk. Breakfast had several selections and was really tasty. They kept everything well stocked and fresh right up until the end of free breakfast at 10am - which was another great bonus to allow our teens to sleep a bit later in the morning. Free coffee and hot cocoa in the lobby 24/7 was really appreciated. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and happy. We would definitely stay again. The only reason for 8 stars and not 10 is that the room was pricey for 2 doubles, but compared to those in DC itself, we saved a lot and we were very happy with our stay. There was a stain on the carpet in our room that looked like a coffee or hot cocoa spill, but the room was immaculate, so I assume it was something that happened right before our stay and they haven't gotten time to do a full carpet clean yet. Parking was great and there are lots of places to eat nearby, stores,.etc. We would absolutely stay again.

Good location and was within walking distance to retail and restaurants shopping center. The breakfast was very good. There was the usual breakfast menu but it was fresh every morning. It was a good way to start every morning. The staff was excellent in customer service.

We stayed different hotels in Washington before. Hampton Alexandria was the best of all we have been. We liked breakfast too.

There was one incident happened. When we entered our room there was a mouse running. It was last day of our stay. But we did not disgust as the door has open space on the downside and our floor level was first floor and close to the main door.
