Our first time to Virginia Beach was great and we enjoyed the proximity to the beach, Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Avenue for walking around the areas close to the hotel. The room had great AC, almost too great, because we had to turn it down due to how cold our room was (smile); the staff was friendly and very accommodating especially when I requested an extra hour before checkout because my boyfriend and I got back late from having breakfast at a popular restaurant.

There was nothing that we didn't like about our room except there needs to be more than one trash can. It would have been nice to have one at the bathroom sink and another one near the door.

This hotel is good for me to visit the beach with my children because it’s very close.

I didn’t like the people smoking in the pool front of the kids and also in the second floor, also in the second floor people I saw that there were smoking the sign said no smoke but still they do a lot of people. And also another thing I don’t like is there is no stove.

The room was very clean,

We were in the room packing to leave. The door was closed but unlocked since we were taking things to the car. A man who works for the hotel opened the door without knocking, and when he saw us, he left without apologizing. The hotel has to have professional ethics and educate the work staff to know how to respect, knock on the door even if it is the moment of handing over the hotel, they do not have to open without permission. I was very surprised that he didn't even ask for an apology. I think it is normal for this man to do this. When I went to the office to check out, I told the lady what happened and they didn't care. veryyyy bad.

Very close to the beach and nightclubs, like a block away. Across the street from a really good seafood restaurant too! Free parking, WiFi, and a private pool were nice as well.

The elevator is a little old but it gets the job done. My room passed my blacklight test (no bugs , clean bed), but found a small stain on the carpet, some dust here there in the closet and hairdryer area. The toilet had the paper over it as if it was cleaned but I went behind and re cleaned due to seeing small fibers on the seat. For the most part, the room was clean.

This is typically my first pick to stay when I visit Virginia Beach. I visit often and I appreciate how friendly the staff are. My rooms are always clean . It’s close to the beach and for the past 10 years I haven’t had a bad experience from sundial. As a person of color it’s important for me to feel comfortable and safe when I leave my hometown and this is where I go. It’s affordable and it’s comfortable!

The elevator wasn’t working but that’s ok.

Well equipped kitchen. Very nice bed, we both slept well. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Taking luggage from the far end of the parking lot to our room annoying, particularly after making three trips. Would have been helpful to have a parking area for check-in.

Some of the staff was fantastic like last year! You get what you pay for, though. The hotel isn't too far from the beach. No roaches, no bugs, and pool cleaned daily.

We didn't get clean towels delivered to the room on the weekend, which we were told "they don't do that." I needed the sheets changed as they wouldn't come in to do that. The carpet was dirty by day 4 out of 8, and I couldn't get my room cleaned even when purring the maid service tag out. I know places are short staffed but at least politely let me know and I'll do it. The shower had hair in it again, which I cleaned and also wiped everything before leaving.

It was close to the Dome which we were going to and that made it an effortless trip/walk. At checkout I returned the keys to front desk and they were exceptionally friendly. It may be a cheaper hotel but location was perfect and it had all we needed for the night.

Payment issue, $ 24 for service charges, the $ 30 for the city taxes , what was the reason for the $ 156 , that named "other taxes" . This is totally unfair. My future decision will be, not to use the so called " booking.com"

The room was nice and clean, and the microwave and refrigerator were great. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and it was a nice neighborhood, within walking distance of the beach and a lot of other attractions.

I have no complaints at all.
