Location, cleanliness, amenities, friendly staff, good food at Hemingway restaurant

Breakfast buffet wasn’t complimentary. $16.95 per person. Kids age 12-16 $9.95. Kids under age 12 ate for free. Only 2 kids under age 12 PER FAMILY ate free, all other kids regardless of age were $9.95. Also toilet is low to the floor, so if you are tall or have a bad back or knees you might want to bring a toilet seat riser with you. They give you plenty of towels and wash cloths but they’re thin and towels are small, not accommodating to larger sized people.

Perfect location! Every room was ocean view with a balcony and it was right in the center of the boardwalk with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant at the hotel was great and the breakfast offered many options. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff were so accommodating and we truly felt safe and at home.

The only issue was finding parking, but they did offer a free valet service that was extremely convenient and the folks working the valet were top notch. The parking lot on the property was pretty tight for our third row SUV but we made it work and their secondary lot was easily accessible.

Location, great! Rooms were very nice and updated. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Things were easy and relaxing. The parking was also stress free as you could either park in their lot yourself or take advantage of the complimentary valet. We also noted the quality of the food and drinks!

There was some confusion about the breakfast. Oringinally I was told we would have breakfast included, but then at checkin we were told it was only for 2 people. That caused some frustation and anxiety because I called ahead of time to confirm. However, throughout the stay, we did not have any trouble getting the needed coupons for all that was with us for the breakfast, so it seemed to work out. Also we requested late checkout weeks in advance and never recieved a response back and then the day of check out was told it was not possible because other guest had already requested. There should have been a response without us having to ask about it again.

My stay was awesome. The room was very clean. The staff was very polite, friendly and professional. We really enjoyed going down for breakfast in the mornings. I was very happy to see Deborah Camacho was still working their. We had an awesome experience with her last year. It was so good to see her again. She was very attentive and was a joy to talk with. She made us feel like family and made sure we had whatever we needed. In a world like we live in today, you don't see this kind of service much anymore. She has an "old school" kind of charm, which was very refreshing. We look forward to coming back next year . Rocky at the front desk was very professional and pleasant. She made us feel very welcome.

People are awesome.

The terrace had water issues, and the concrete floor was pealing and lots of rust. Did not look or feel safe. I was told by staff it was an air-conditioning leak. So fix it. The structure around the ends of the balcony show rust and did not dare to lean on it, for it might fail. When you cover metal with decorative plastic, rust happens, and with the water dripping, it is a sign of repair so desperately needed. We most likely will not stay again, for we did not get to enjoy the terrace.

The Restaurant in the hotel "The Hemmingway", was very generic and compared to other hotel restaurants and stand alone restaurants found within very short walking distances "The Hemmingway" was very over priced for the quality and variety of food they offered. Much better options outside of the hotel.

The room was comfortable and the view was amazing. The staff at front desk was friendly and helpful.

The room could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. The fridge/freezer was dirty and had items left behind from previous guest. Sheets on one of the beds was stained. There was visible dirts (nuts, feather, crumbs) on carpet that could have been easily removed if room had been properly vacuumed prior to our arrival. There were long strands of hair in shower as well.

Good location. Parking availability. Clean room. Keurig coffee and pot in room. Fridge in room. A few steps to the beach! Comfortable bed and pillows, room darkening blinds. Balcony with ocean view.

Air conditioning unit blowing right onto bed. Had to put a chair in front of it to dispurse cold air. Some electrical and usb plugs did not have power. Shower water pressure was low. Clothes closet had a safe and cabinet limiting space to hang clothes. Lobby's free coffee was always out. Indoor pool looked murkey. Would not swim in it. One day, only 1 bed was made while other was not touched??? No free breakfast. $15/adult.

I wrote one regarding the breakfast buffett and forgot the most important. Your STAFF! Your staff is always so friendly, accompanying you and helpful. The buffett is a small complaint compared to the best group of staffers working there. I realize that it is a transit job and that is where to come in tops. These people like what they do or cover it up well. From the maintenence people, the girls getting the rooms ready to the front desk they are wonderful and cheery to your customers. Keep doing whatever you do to hire these folks as yours are always nice to be around. I can't recommend them more and we travel a lot. These days it's mostly out of the county but we always get to your place at some point doing the summer. Thank you for the service we receive at the HOLIDAY!

Breakfast but everything else worth it.

The Staff was amazing throughout the Hotel. The Restaurant had great food and service, and we both loved the Hemingway and Key West aspect of the space. Room was well kept, and there were no issues with any of the equipment (TV, fridge, etc).

My only issue was parking. The two lots were filled very early in the evening so I needed to go to another parking location. The place recommended by the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was a short walk between the locations. Hoping the amount gets refunded to my card as the receptionist stated it would be.
