Great location and free parking. The room was an excellent size. The hotel breakfast was very good, especially the one staff member who was so friendly and attentive. I forgot his name but he always talked about his mom’s Brooklyn potatoes recipe, which he made for breakfast and they were great.

It’s showing its age. It needs a refresh. The mattress was not very comfortable. We had one nervous elevator ride where the car jerked suddenly, fell a few floors, then jerked back up before finally getting to our floor.

Nothing to do with property. The free breakfast was dependent on the time you went to breakfast. We went to breakfast at 9:15 as well as others. There was hardly any food left. The gentleman stated he was making more food. Eventually showed up with some potatoes. No other food was ever provided. At 9:59 he called a last call he was closing in one minute. Never filled the food he promised. We ate breakfast at other places the rest of the week. I have no other complaints. They need to make breakfast according to census.

Check in was so easy and everyone that I encountered was friendly and welcoming. The Location and the balcony was amazing!!! I didn't catch his name, but the man who works the 5-1:30 shift in the kitchen making breakfast was awesome! He is the heart of that establishment. It was so awesome starting my day with his positive, friendly, fun loving personality! He was personable, positive, and very funny. Everyone seemed so happy in the space that he was. What a great way to start the mornings!

I can't really think of anything. Except there was a woman doing diamond painting while not acknowledging guests.

I loved the room, which was on a high level. The king size room had an additional seat for lounging. The shower was awesome. The breakfast was good and the kitchen staff (Chris and his daughter Vicki) were exceptional. Every day they greeted everyone with a smile, made conversations, and went beyond to assist people. They both are very hospitable, friendly, kind, polite and such a blessing to everyone; and when people were leaving they said goodbye and to have a safe trip back home. They both really made my day better; and yes I treated them well. The location was also great and had eateries across the street with good food, Forbes candy store with the best salt water taffy and fudge. Sunsations had t-shirts,magnets, etc for purchasing. We enjoyed our stay.

Room was large and comfortable; location is wonderful - right in the heart of the oceanfront activities, restaurants and stores. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, particularly Chris in the kitchen who was warm, welcoming and efficient every morning at breakfast. Food was ample and tasty! All in all, this hotel is a great value for the money.

The room, and hotel in general, certainly could use some TLC and updating. The shower leaked due to faulty gaskets on the shower door, for example. None of this really detracted from our stay, but it is worth noting.

This was my 3rd time staying at Comfort Suites. The Staff was pleasant and friendly each time. The rooms were clean and comfortable as well. Virginia Beach is my favorite destination and I'll definitely stay here next visit.

I requested a room away from smokers so I can enjoy the balcony while not breathing 2nd hand smoke. Of course the people on a nearby balcony had to smoke from dawn till they went to bed. The ignorance and disregard smokers have for others is unreal. They did stop occasionally when I yelled. This happens everywhere, every hotel. It's not a hotel issue, it's just people being ignorant and selfish.

The hot breakfast (beckon, egg and sausage etc), the location and value are all good. The breakfast man named Chris Grant and his daughter Vicki left us a very good memory - always happy and full of energy and joy to do their breakfast preparation and refilling work, making us to enjoy the breakfast and the breakfast time in the dining rooms.

The doors to the hotel room and to the balcony were too heavy and hard to open. The key failed to let us to get into the first floor from the level 1 parking lot. Hope these can be improved for future customers.

The hotel was clean, had great amenities, nicely decorated, and in the perfect location. You really cannot beat the view from your personal balcony! Breakfast every morning was delicious and the staff did a great job to replenish the food options as they were needed too. There were lots of restaurants, shops, things to do, and a very convenient Walgreens located all with a block or 2.

The ONLY thing that could use some work in this hotel are the elevators. They are very slow, the fans don’t work very well and sometimes not at all, and there are only 2 to accommodate the entire hotel of over 100 rooms. I felt like I spent a lot of my stay waiting for the elevator.

Location excellent. Parking excellent. Hotel very quiet. View from room excellent. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast very good. There was a good selection of food choices and beverages

The room was not very clean, there was no attention to detaild. Furniture wasn't clean. Need to be steam cleaned One elevator was broken room service poor.

The location was perfect! The entire Staff was friendly- ESPECIALLY Chris (head of the kitchen) What an amazing soul! Such wonderful personality and a great cook. His daughter who was also working there made some delicious cheesy eggs.

Ice machine out of order on a couple floors, and although we did not personally have any issues- other guests warned us about the elevator having issues.
