Location location location. Every room has a balcony that faces the ocean and boardwalk. It’s a well-kept older hotel and is super clean. We have stayed here several times. If you choose to cook, there is a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. They also have coffee in the lobby. The rooms have basic motel furnishings (if you prefer luxury, there are more expensive places in VB) but you aren’t going to find a better value and cleaner place for your money. In the mornings, look for the man with 2 large black dogs near the beach stairs to the left. We always enjoy watching him exercise them on the beach. We’ve seen him every visit since the dogs were puppies and it’s amazing how well he has trained them. Also, the horse rental place is just down the beach. They’re fun to watch, too.

Not a big deal but I didn’t like the new cable provider (I don’t like changes, lol). I couldn’t find a guide on any of the channels, nor could I find local stations for news and weather. I wish there had been a printed channel list in my room.

We loved the location. We were right on the beach. The view was amazing. We didnt try the breakfast mainly because we slept past the time and my daughter is a Dunkin fan and was givin gift cards to use, so we would take the short trip down to grab something before heading out. We loved being able to stay parked in the parking lot and walk to the different stores. The bed I slept in wasn't to my liking, but I have back issues. My daughter said hers was very comfy. The pool was nice as well. We loved being able to walk out the door right onto the boardwalk. There was a spot where you could rent bikes. Can't wait to stay again to see what the resturant they are working on, will be. Our room had a counter section that had a sink so if one of use were in the bathroom but needed to use a sink, we still could.

Only thing we weren't really thrilled with is the fact that you have to go outside the hotel to get into the pool area.

The location was great, the service was awesome! Rooms were very nice. Loved the view of the ocean/beach. Loved the performers on the boardwalk on the sides of the hotels. The musical play of "The Witch of Pongo", the play of "The Dictator", The Magic Show and the Church from Richmond, Virginia were all awesome, enjoyed every one of them!

What I really didn't like is the cigarette smoke from one of the other balconies and the smell of weed (marijuana being smoked around the hotel and you can smell it from the balcony and hallway. The beds could be lower and softer and the toilet could be a little higher. A little better chairs for the balconies that would accommodate heavier people.

Ocean Resort is our favorite place to stay in VAB. Here’s why: Rooms are always immaculate, beds are comfortable, rooms are large so we don’t feel claustrophobic, the rooms have a kitchen counter which makes everything easier and more organized, the rooms are quiet, the staff is usually courteous and helpful, and last but not least, the beautiful view of the ocean and boardwalk from the large windows. We visit several times a year. Hubby has Alzheimer’s and they usually allow us to have the same room or at least the same floor and this very helpful. We come in the winter months when VAB isn’t as crowded, yet there are always people on the boardwalk for hubby to enjoy watching. It’s a wonderful winter retreat for both of us.

Location is perfect, right in front of the beach and in its main touristic area. It’s a great spot to watch the sunrise, go out to restaurants, and conveniently access the beach. In the main lobby (ground floor), clients have access to a great coffee machine, a juice machine, and a water fountain, as well as some restrooms, which is convenient if you’re at the beach and don’t want to go up to the room.

We’re not able to use the wifi from the room, it works in the hallway and in the main lobby (ground floor). We were lucky to find a single parking slot available when we arrived, not sure what would happen if no slots were available. During our stay, we noticed the parking lot was always full.

We stay here often, especially off-season, when VB is a little more quiet. It’s such a great winter getaway because there are always people on the boardwalk, no matter the weather, and the ocean always has dolphins, birds and ships to watch. The rooms are clean and larger than most and have a kitchen area which is a great convenience. I think the mattresses were replaced this year and the beds are super comfy. We’ve stayed in several different places in VB but for the last 5 years Ocean Resort has been our place to stay. It would be hard to find a more comfortable or cleaner room or a better location for the price.

I loved the location, with the hotel being on the boardwalk we were literally steps off the beach. When we got upstairs to our room we were pleasantly surprised, my 4 year old grand daughter said Gigi it's beautiful😁😂😅!!

I felt like after driving 5 1/2 hours through a couple of storms and finally getting there to No parking because the parking lot was full was a downer. So after unloading the truck with my husband and waiting for a cart to get our luggage upstairs was kind of the pits. But overall, it was a nice stay.

The property was oceanfront and they had a little store in there. The front desk staff was very nice.

I asked for towels and toilet paper and for the trash to go out and some more trash bags and they put the towels on the bed not in the bathroom and didnt give us any toilet paper when we were out and i asked for it and they didnt get the trash i had to sit it out of the room and then put all the other trash in the trash cans. I didnt like that. Also, the door to the bathroom was broken and the bathroom was small. Overall, it was a decent hotel.

Room was exactly like was pictured, beds were comfy and clean. I love the view. I will say Queen at the front desk is the best. The staff is like night and day and I love the night staff. Queen made everything right. If there was any issues they were overlooked and fixed. She definitely made me and my family feel welcomed and comfortable. The outlets could be updated with a slight move my phone charger kept unplugging, but again Queen knew I was safe so I didn't need a phone 🤣. Location is ideal Walgreens and ice cream is near. Over flow parking was a genius idea as parking is limited

Room was Clean and staff very nice. Bed was comfy.

The elevators were very slow. I think there was only 1 working out of 2 elevators. Didn’t like that it didn’t have a private balcony.
