The location is fantastic, and the price can’t be beat! The Pembroke offers amazing food and outstanding service, especially from Aroldo and Miguel. The front desk staff is always friendly, and the entire hotel smells wonderful. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms are incredibly spacious.
This doesn’t reflect on the property itself, and I’m confident it will be resolved. We paid for the room through Booking.com, but were also charged again at checkout. I called yesterday (7/2/25) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I’m sure the double charge will be credited back soon. I just hadn’t realized we’d been charged twice before we left.

Comfortable rooms with nice features like motorised blinds and wooden shutters. Soft bed and comfy cushion. Turn down service with chocolates was a surprise! Nespresso coffee machine in room was a nice touch. Location was great in terms of metro access and walkability to shops and restaurants. Starbucks just round the corner if you want a “normal” coffee and “emergency food”.
Price point at over $400 per night seemed too high unless you have an expense account. There’s hotel dynamic pricing in action for you! No included breakfast. Plumbing a bit tired. In our room the toilet was constantly making dripping sounds. Had to jiggle the flush handle. Location on traffic circle meant a lot of midnight siren noise and horn blasting from nit-wit drivers. Refrigerator was nice, but it was full of minibar drinks with no room for my chipotle left overs! No microwave in room. Also no tea kettle if you wanted to boil your own water.

New wine list and menu in the Pembroke. Oysters are back! Quality Italian dishes!
Having a front desk staffer use Open Table to book a lunch reservation request given over the counter on person was unusual to me. The concierge was away from his desk and I thought a simple internal phone call by the front desk to the dining room could have been more convenient to the guest. I had to stand in front of the desk for over five minutes to provide information, already on file with the hotel, to help the staffer fill in the Open Table form. Not convenient!

Great location, our concierge Thomas is fantastic and knowledgeable. I appreciated that the reception team realized that we were a family traveling with different bookings and had the foresight to give us rooms on the same floor. My sister had an issue with her room and someone from the evening team came to her room to solve the issue. The team facilitated our request to extend our stay at check in. The on site restaurant was fantastic.
My sister’s toilet in her room was inoperable before check out. Perhaps due to staffing shortages it wasn’t addressed before our departure. I put my eye medication in the en-suite mini fridge and was surprised that the fridge had a self timed lock that I wasn’t initially informed of. After multiple calls to the front desk the fridge was finally unlocked.

The Dupont Circle Hotel exceeded expectations. At half the price of the other hotels I considered, the room was small but very comfortable for two people. The design of the room was superior: there is no art in sight, but rather, the wall behind the bed is a mosaic of wood and metal leaf. Dropped ceilings with down lights at the entrance and window wall ingeniously create alcoves for the coffee maker at one side and a daybed at the other. Striped carpeting complements the leather day bed by the shuttered window, and the headboard is covered in matching leather. The marble bathroom features a radiant stone floor. All controls (for shower, lights, blackout shades, and--most important to me--the thermostat, which turns on and off without the customary delay) are easy to use and intuitive. The room was carefully and thoroughly cleaned and straightened, exceptional in an era of alternate-day cleaning. And when I'd forgotten to remove the "Do Not Disturb" sign, most impressive was the text message asking me whether I wanted the room cleaned.
Very minor: the sink is unenclosed, and not only does that reduce privacy, but it also means that anyone using the bathroom at night and turning on the light disturbs the other person.

From check-in to check-out, every single interaction and attention to detail was top class. Staff are the friendliest ever. We were there for a week and everyone knew our names after day one. It made us all feel very special. Rooms were spotless and serviced efficiently daily. Interior design and furnishings are rich and oozing quality. Food & menus are thoughfully prepared, lovely fresh produce all cooked to order. Professional attentive service 24/7 by management, bar, wait, reception, room & door staff. Honestly couldn't fault a thing. There's a CVS across the street, and a wonderful food & farmers market on Sunday. The metro station is 50 yards away.. get yourself a smartcard & explore the city for $2 a ride.
Having to leave.... :-(

Comfortable bed, great staff, quiet room, easy access to metro, clean room and nice inviting lobby, good lounge area. We were happy to find great restaurants nearby for a reasonable price - Thai Chef, Dukes Grocery, Mi Casa, &Pizza, Tatte (for breakfast), and Chic-Fil-a.
Did not have a good dining experience at the restaurant, Pembroke. It was very expensive ($122 USD for two people) and the food was not up to the price we paid.

I loved everything about my stay at the DuPont Circle Hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated having cable and premium channels. The staff were amazing, and the overall facilities were outstanding. I had surgery and knew that laying up in a bed for more than five days with just basic news channels wouldn’t be ideal. DuPont Circle Hotel definitely made my stay entertaining and super comfortable. The view from my room was amazing, and the cleaners were always on point. It was also nice to have a great restaurant onsite, along with plenty of other fantastic dining options nearby.
Parking was atrocious. $55 per night. After two nights I just couldn’t bring myself to continue so I found street parking. For a luxury hotel parking should be included in the rate! Like seriously.

The hotel location cannot be beat - walking distance to most major attractions, such as the Smithsonian museums, Washington Monument, White House and Lincoln Memorial to name a few.
We flew into the Dulles airport which is a half-hour taxi to the hotel. We opted for the Metro which was an hour and quite a pain if you have luggage. Not the hotel's fault. Ronald Regan airport is five miles from the hotel and may be better if the schedules are similar.

Great hotel in great location - upscale neighbourhood with good restaurants and coffee etc nearby The Pembroke restaurant and Dupont bar are lovely - great staff, lovely food and drinks, lovely relaxed feeling with great service, lovely outdoor tables when weather suitable. Super-helpful staff in the hotel - reception team and concierge particularly so. Room serviced twice daily with bedding changed daily.
Very little - being picky - Bed a little firm for my liking. External style of hotel and the rooms is very bland and slightly corporate.
