Nice room, super clean, big comfy bed. Modern bathroom, just a little dark, nowhere for my wife to do her makeup. Excellent restaurant for dinner, breakfast a little limited. Nice bar with excellent staff, all staff were great. Great location, we walked to all the sights. got the metro to the NFL game we came to see, go Redskins.

The roof top bar in the pictures is for private parties only, don't show it?? Limited choice for breakfast.

The size of the room was beyond my expectations. The staff was attentive.

The room needs to be better cleaned. The floor felt like it had not been properly mopped in a while. What was most disappointing was the amount of mildew in the shower grout. A bottle of the water in the room would have been greatly appreciated.

We loved having the hotel bikes to use during our stay although they were in need of maintenance. One of the bikes breaks didn't work and a part was hitting the chain. We also received miss information about how long we could use the bikes due to news staff not knowing policy. Loved the location and happy wine hour on the patio.

When we arrived they told us towel arrived late and if we needed any to call down. We had zero towels. The hotel should have been on top of this and not made us inconvenienced by having to call and wait for them to be sent up. Daily cleaning was just ok, we were there 4 nights and they didn't vacuum or wipe things down.

From the second, we pulled up to the property there was somebody waiting to park our vehicle after we checked in. They even offered to help with our luggage. The staff leader at night was very welcoming and cheerful, and this is unusual to walk into a hotel and find somebody Very chipper. The area where you check-in was very clean and had a very nice lemon lime water, waiting for anybody who needed to quench their thirst. The room was very meat and all amenities were easy to get if needed. I was just very impressed with the staff at this particular Washington DC hotel. Food in the restaurant Was very good. I had the escargot and the mushrooms. They give you drink coupons and a coupon for a percentage off of meals upon check-in, which was unexpected. I will definitely stay again.

Hotel is very well located and the facilities are very well maintained. Hotel was clean and they compensated mistakes rapidly and efficientlty.

I was given a room that wasn't ready. They didn't explained to me that I was paying $30/day extra for additional services I could've enjoyed. They made me believe they were giving me "complimentary" things like a loaner bike, drinks or the gym. At check out I learned I was being charged was for those things. They were confused whether parking was included and they charged me even though it was included. I had to request a refund and the manager refunded.

The hotel staff were professional and friendly. They made me feel truly welcome. I wish I knew names but I would be writing a lot of names. My room was beautiful and clean. I love the wine reception in the evening. I ate at Les Sel and had great service and a delicious meal. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to everyone at the Kimpton Banneker for making my stay so enjoyable!

The only complaint I have is that the water pressure in the shower was weak. There was a pressure valve to conserve water and I just got a trickle of water so I switched it to full and I got a little more water but it wasn't enough for me.

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant—the waiter was exceptionally fine, responding to all of our requests without delay. We parked our car in the hotel garage, and this was so easy, both to leave and to retrieve. Really—anything we needed was provided. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to DC.

When I returned to my room on Saturday night, I could not get the WiFi to work properly. It kept turning off and then had to be reset—I just gave up. There were heavy winds in DC that evening—25 or 30 miles per hour. I expect this affected the the service because I didn’t have that problem the night before. This was an inconvenience but not something that I would raise a complaint against.

We walked into this hotel tired and exhausted after a long flight to be greeted by an easy and painfree check in. Beautiful hotel, large rooms with extremely comfortable beds, very clean with all the in room amenities that you could need. Staff were helpful & friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that. It definitely made our first stay in Washington more enjoyable.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and will definitely stay again if we are ever in Washington.

We had a really great time in the hotel; staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful especially the lovely reception staff. They gave great advice and were always so upbeat , and they managed the very busy desk very professionally and cordially. Considering how busy the hotel was I feel it would have benefited to have some extra staff on the front desk to lessen pressure.We had a slight issue with lighting in the room. Otherwise our experience was very positive.

The room is very comfortable. It's a small hotel with a cozy environment—not loud inside. The comfortable room features a plush bed you will sink into. I loved having access to the restaurant downstairs is a plus. You get a drink ticket when you check in, a discount for a meal, and they have fabulous happy hours and rooftop yoga events. The staff is extremely kind. I'm into small hotels where I can feel at home, I give this one a plus!

The elevators are extremely small because of the wooden panels added. This makes it hard to fit with luggage and other visitors. I would redesign the sitting area, as it feels a bit blocked off from the concierge and check-in, and it's not very accessible - it feels cluttered. Additionally, the placement of the plants on the exterior and interior could be improved to better suit their need for light. Lastly, I would suggest moving the water fountain next to the entrance, rather than behind the wall. The plants on the exterior and exterior could be better placed according to their need for light.
