The staff was very cordial and attentive. The location is convenient. The charm of the facility maintains details from original built. Breakfast is well rationed.

No elevator, but staff offers to take your bags to room. Water on shower on higher floors loses heat and becomes lukewarm. It returns after 3-4 minutes, but if you are tight on time those 3-4 minutes can make the difference.

The old furniture was quaint, but on the comfortable side. The bathroom towel, paper and soap availability was all right.

I found it difficult to turn off the air conditioner in the room because the buttons indicating the air conditioning for turning it on or off were not clear on the indicator unit, and, therefore, I couldn't turn it off, and the air conditioner just went on cooling off the place when I really wanted to turn it off and couldn't. I found a lot of the button indicators to be confusing and unclear as to how to make use of them. The bathroom sink faucet didn't project itself fully over the basin, and, consequently, water kept dripping from my hands outside of the basin while washing them, and water kept dripping onto the counter. I had to use towels or paper napkins to keep mopping up the water that dropped onto the counter. The bed mattress could've been a little bit softer, and it kept creaking whenever I tried getting on top of it to rest. The drinking water in the restaurant wasn't quite sanitary, and it produced a certain taste which indicated that sanitary conditions weren't quite in order there which consequently gave me gastrointestinal problems resulting in diarrhea. I believe that having something like a dumbwaiter installed in the building for hauling up luggage would be in order so that guests don't have to haul up luggage themselves to their rooms upstairs.
