Breakfast at this hotel is an experience. You are seated by a friendly hostess. Immediately, a server is there to take your order. Our coffee was piping hot and very good. Each morning we ate breakfast in the hotel and enjoyed it. The eggs Benedict were perfect. The avocado toast was so rich and tasty. The staff at this hotel are so helpful and friendly. Each day, we went and toured and the doormen handed us small waters. They offered extra umbrellas. They were thoughtful and intent on meeting our needs. The rooms were serviced each day and we received fresh towels and two glass bottles of water. It was a nice touch. Every evening after dinner, we went to the bar. One night, we had desert and were not disappointed. The cheesecake was so creamy. I cannot say enough about the staff. From the front door to the reception desk to the bar even the housekeeper. We met her one morning as we were leaving our room. She asked how we liked the service and we told her it was wonderful. Her response was, "If you are happy then I am happy". We thanked her for the good job she was doing and left a nice tip the day we left. The next time we visit DC, we will stay at the Jefferson.

I can't think of anything that could be better. This is Washington's best kept secret in my opinion.

My wife and I brought our little papillon dog to stay with us at The Jefferson for three nights, and we had an amazing stay! It was our first time staying here, and we will always choose to stay here whenever we are back in DC. Reasons to stay at The Jefferson: - They have the most professional and friendly staff that a hotel can offer to their guests. - It is a very short and easy walk to the White House, but just far enough away to where there aren’t any crowds of tourists passing by/lingering around the outside the front your hotel. - The lobby, common areas and our guest room were all spotlessly clean. - The quaint size of the hotel, combined with the timeless furniture/decor and original artwork hung on the walls, will make you feel as if you are guest staying in someone’s mansion . . . opposed to staying at a large chain hotel property. We cannot wait to come back again! Thank you for everything!

We spent our wedding night at the Jefferson and it’s a memory that we’ll never forget. The Jefferson’s customer service is beyond compare: they allowed our “getaway driver” check in to our suite for us and drop off our luggage in advance so that there was no lugging bags around in our wedding attire at the end of the night; when we arrived they had chilled champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries awaiting us; in the morning staff greeted us by name and the room service breakfast was presented on a charming table. This night will be one we will never forget.

Great location. Classic and nice hotel. Rooms are very confortable

Service was far from excellent for this type of hotel: 1) one night we didn't have the evening turndown room service (and although this was reported nobody explained why and no correction was implemented); 2) food was good but breakfast service was suboptimal: we were put on a side room and the waiter only came rarely (had to stand up twice to call him); 3) more than 30 minutes to receive a request from room service (just simple ice)

The most amazing staff EVA! They could not do enough for me, were so polite, went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable and called me by my name! This doesn’t happen in hotels!

Not much - lack of swimming pool would be the only thing but they can arrange access for you at one nearby. I didn’t do this as I ended up being too busy - next time!

The room is very cozy and comfortable with surprises such like iPad music as background, cookies and personalized greeting card. The room service was pretty impressive. The waiter is so kind and polite. The food arrived as expected time. The bread, butter, Salmon and salads are so delicious. I just loved everything about this hotel. Morning Coffee is the best! All hotel personnel provided the five star service with kindness and lovely attitude. I will definitely come back again with my family for the next trip to DC. Thank you for everything!

Nothing really

Service was exceptional. The Greenhouse had a nice ambiance and was perfect for a brunch with friends. The room was very comfortable and lush with no detail overlooekd.

Since there is no coffee in the room would have like coffee and tea service all day in the lobby

The hotel is fantastic. It’s a great location near to all the main attractions. The staff are all excellent and do everything possible to make your stay memorable. They upgraded us to a fabulous suite and I really couldn’t fault anything about our stay

I liked everything about this beautiful hotel! The staff was very welcoming and the suit I stayed in was very spacious and luxurious! I would definitely stay with The Jefferson again!
