The Lodge is our favorite hotel in Seattle. It's everything you could wish for and more! The nature around the lodge is so peaceful and clean, it's a pleasure to wake up early to enjoy a walk with your furry best friend. If you're looking for an exceptionally clean, peaceful and dog friendly place - you really need to stay here!

Only thing that I could think of would be a mini fridge in the room. Especially when you travel with a pup, it's easier to be able to keep some dog snacks/food cooled.

They kindly let us have early check in. Their usual check in is 4pm which to me is two hours too late! They accommodated our request and we had access at 2pm. Also, I had called the lodge after booking on booking.com and discussed the room types with the manager. She then kindly reserved us a lovely corner room we had talked about. How nice is that! The adirondack chairs outside are randomly placed and lovely to relax in the beauty. There is not really lounging area inside except in the rooms. All the waiters in both the cafe and in the restaurant we very professional as well as friendly.

They don't have a real sauna as they don't like the temperature over 136 degrees. So if you go, manage your expectations. They kept asking through booking.com and on check in if we had a pet but I had already told them we were bringing a dog and they were delighted. So why on check in do we get water glasses but the room no water bowl for the dog. Then we asked for a bowl and it took quite some time to receive it. It is a lovely lodge and good restaurant but it is more a park hotel than 4 or 5 star service.

The most attentive, wonderful staff helped make our stay a five star stay. Although the rooms are a bit narrow, they are luxurious and beautifully appointed along with many windows offering beautiful views of the park. The bathroom was just as luxurious as any five star hotel I've visited. The hotel itself as well as the grounds are beautiful with plenty of hiking and dining options. The hotel has two art galleries which we thoroughly enjoyed. We can't wait to return to this beautiful, unique hotel. Many thanks to the outstanding, friendly staff.

We adored staying here! Rich with history, a beautiful property with things to do and varying activities, dining options, a bar, and a lovely accommodation. We enjoyed doing the self-guided history tour offered in the building. Then finishing our day in the games room with complementary snacks provided bonding as a family! The property is stunning and you can spend so much time exploring with complementary bikes or just walking around. They have pickleball and yoga and other lovely activities. It would be amazing for any group retreat! We would highly recommend coming to this hidden oasis just north of Seattle.

Nothing honestly, everyone was so lovely we interacted with, and dining and beverage experiences were lovely. Nothing to complain about!

The grounds are situated on a former seminary turned state park. The gardens were beautifully abundant. From the moment we pulled up and the valet took our car to check in and to our room accommodations we found peace and calmness in our surroundings. We had breakfast, lunch, and a charcuterie board during our stay and all were delicious. I recommend the burger!

The only thing that could be explained is the climate/temperature control.

Beautiful property , gorgeous surrounding, nice restraint, very friendly and pleasant staff, clean, extremely quiet..BUT!!! Bed is way too soft, almost like a hammock, got a back ache, was considering sleeping on a floor. With the firmer mattress overall score would be 10+++++++

Hammock mattress, way too soft, not good for anyone back

Loved the hotel. It was fun to walk around with a guide to point out the different artwork and learn about the history of the hotel. The room was so small for the nightly rate. maintenance came to replace our coffee maker and said rooms were so small because it was the original layout of the dorm rooms. FYI, you want a microwave you need to request one.

Small room for price. We wouldn’t have booked here, but we decided to because it was our 28th anniversary. We expected no feathers/down due to allergies and they didn’t provide hypoallergenic as requested by email. Also, expect to pay $10/night for parking, even if you have a state park pass. With the parking fee, plus resort fee. total additional fees $38/night.

We loved the expansive grounds and the thoughtful design of the hotel. Easy hike down to the lake and very quiet and peaceful.

Shuttles to the local wineries are not available on weekdays. I didn’t know we had to call and set up reservations for the shuttle in advance. The room was a little small but it was okay since we only stayed for one night.

From the time we pulled into the valet to the time we checked out, we found the staff and the lodge to be exceptional.

Didn't completely DISLIKE it, but did not find the food served at Cedar + Elm to be of the caliber of a Michelin-star restaurant. The service was great, the food was okay.
