What an incredibly beautiful hotel this is. The location is perfect; very close to a CVS, multiple restaurants, and a 5 minute walk from Climate Pledge Arena. The beds were comfortable and the room was very spacious. Everything in the hotel was quality and well worth the price. Valet parking is also available for a reasonable price. If you love vintage hotels, this is definitely the place for you!

The only downside was that we couldn't get the TV to work for either cable or apps like Netflix or YouTube. We even had a laptop to plug in via an HDMI cord but the input wouldn't change on the TV. The WiFi was also very spotty and weak.

Outstanding front-desk and bell staff: Katie, Kenady (sp?), Ryan and others. Everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location is great, once we figured out how to navigate the one-way streets. The room was well appointed and quiet, considering the busy street (Queen Anne Ave.) outside. We appreciated the history of the building (built as a dormitory for Ford employees). Proximity to Cafe Ladro around the corner is nice.

The lack of an elevator could be a drawback for some guests, though the bell staff helped carry our bags to the 2nd floor. It would be nice to have tea and coffee in the lobby, though Cafe Ladro is convenient.

Whilst the building looks rather unassuming from the street (and the hotel's name isn't clear either), once you're inside it is very different. It opens into a lovely well-furnished lobby with very friendly and welcoming reception staff. Our room was really quirkly - beautifully and tastefully decorated and nice and big and light, with a large modern bathroom. Also it was really clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the room was very quiet so we had a great night's sleep. Although a way out from the downtown, it is easy to walk to the Space Needle and it was close to the cruise terminals which was a key decision in choosing this hotel (just 10 minutes in a taxi).

The hotel was pretty expensive for what we had been paying in other US cities, and it doesn't serve breakfast. But to be fair this was still a much better value hotel than most others I saw in Seattle on booking.com even though I had booked months earlier, and it is such a smart hotel inside. I guess Seattle is just a very expensive city for accommodation.

Loved the architecture & history . Staff was TOP NOTCH, on point and made our quick stay pleasant and memorable. In fact, we have already recommended to fellow oncoming cruisers and just barely left the port. They made it all seamless. We were a family of three adults and one 14 month old. They met us at drop off in front late from our flight, and swiftly carried all of our bags up to the room. Check in was quick , the Pack and play was set up in the room already, and every attempt to make our stay comfortable and easy was made by the excellent staff. As a guest we were awarded a discount at cafe ladro on the corner , and the coffee was just the Seattle jolt that we needed! Also recommend the raspberry scone and the espresso chip loaf! The walk to the space needle only about 15 minutes. We took the monorail to west lake and walked a few minutes to pikes. The hotel booked a great shuttle to the cruise port for us; he arrived promptly and in a suburban , which easily accommodated ALLLL of our Alaska ready luggage, baby , car seat , stroller ETC . Great driver popped us to the port in no time and we were on our way. Overall, highly recommend, and will definitely be back! Thanks again to everyone at Marqueen that went above and beyond and exhibited the utmost in professionalism and hospitality. Keep shining bright. We appreciate you.

It was so close to the Space Needle and Climate Pledge Arena, how the hotel has kept the old fashion feel of the hotel, makes it better that a redeveloped hotel that all look the same, the customer service from everyone was above and beyond what is expected this was from everyone from people on the Front Desk, doorman and the cleaners helped, there was a mistake that my card was charged twice by mistake and the service to fix this was amazing and the communication was awesome. This is the best place I have stayed at and would recommend anyone to stay here.

Nothing.

The staff was exceptional, enthusiastic, helpful and gave advice and service with an old world charm. The location was perfect for us as we walked to most of the attractions that we wanted to see. Also was right at a bus stop. The tin Lizzie bar was a great vibe and the Cajun restaurant down the road was excellent

The floors were a bit noisy to walk on but we understood that it’s a historic building so it was fine. Also no elevator was there but the staff was super helpful with the bags, the charm of the place made up for this inconvenience.

Location was great, I liked the old fashioned interior, the beds were comfortable and staff was very friendly. Bus stop was at the corner and it was 20 min walk to the seafront. We stayed at the hotel during renovations and it didn’t bother us.

No restaurant in the hotel, for breakfast you either need to go to Starbucks which is near the hotel or to the cafe on the corner ( with the hotel’s card you get 10% discount). Light in the room was dim as we had a wall facing room there was not enough light.

When Amazon came in and built its headquarter’s in downtown Seattle, the city saw many of its unique and charming frontier town turned grunge establishments torn down and replaced by cookie cutter hotels. The people behind the Marqueen are instead carefully restoring a classic Seattle hotel in such a way that it retains its authenticity and quirky personality. This hotel is not for everyone There are no elevators, the floorboard squeak a bit, but it’s spectacularly charming. Rumors have it The Marqueen may even have ghosts! The spacious room had everything I needed - a very comfortable large bed, floor to ceiling drapes - beautiful big mirror, walking shower, enormous closet, tall ceilings and spotlessly - meticulously - clean. Though renovations are under way, that activity did not interrupt my stay in any way. Easy to get to by a short bus ride or monorail to the Seattle Center from downtown, the Marqueen is in a fun neighborhood that has good restaurants and cafes and attractions including Seattle Repertory. The Marqueen is a gem of a place and a great find. I highly recommend this hotel for a uniquely Northwest stay.

I wish I had stayed longer!

Room was great. The hotel was originally the training centre for Ford Motors and the rooms designed for their workers to stay in during the training, with their families. Our room had a large double bed, seating area, bathroom, kitchen and dining area. Loved Seattle and this location was great to get down to the harbourside. Breakfast in the Pub/bar connected to the hotel. Also ate their in the evening but it is open to the general public so big demand for tables.

Some building work going on. Not advised in advance - but this was the 3rd such place we stayed in for a 2 week break with building work happening. The building work did not disturb us in evenings or early morning and we were out all day.

I was in Seattle to attend several Hockey games at Climate Pledge Arena. The hotel is a 5min walk away and very close to restaurants and bars. The Space Needel is 10min walk and the whole area felt safe and nice even as a woman travelling alone. The hotel is old but has its own charm. I loved that the room had a small kitchen with a decent size fridge, coffee machine and utensils. The bed was super comfortable and the room, while dated in its furniture, was kept clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful, there are umbrellas to borrow and they are very helpful to give out information if needed. The hotel was quite pricey for what it offers but you pay for the location!

I had a room on the ground floor facing the main road. Those windows are not mirrored so I spent 9 days with my curtains closed for privacy otherwise I would have been on full display for everyone to see. The layout of the room was very weird, I had no real closet and the only room I had to hang up clothes was an utility room with a huge air ventilation unit and no dresser in the room to put in smaller items so I had to put everything in my nightstand drawers who luckily were large enough. If you put the heating on (or aircon in summer) you will need earplugs because that ventilation system is LOUD. The furniture is also very very dated, especially the couch was very sat through but when I was there I saw signs that they where refurbishing the hotel so that may change.
