The hotel is located right next to the Seattle Monorail to the Space Needle and the Dale Chihuly Museum. We discovered that the hotel is so near to the Westlake Center, so we could have taken the Link Light Rail from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport instead of the cab which we did. We chose the cab as this was our first time to Seattle but if I were to go there again, I would take the light link rail which is cheaper and faster than the cab as there is no need to be stuck in the traffic congestion. I like it that the hotel is only about 5-10 mins walk to the Pike Place, but not too near to be noisy. I would like to commend one of the hotel counter staff Francesco. We reached the hotel before the check-in time after a long flight. We accept that we would have to sit in the lounge area waiting for the room to be available. He was cheerful and came to us as soon as when our room was available.

I wish there could be a hot kettle for us to boil water instead of boiling one cup at a time. The lifts are a little slow as this is an old hotel, but maybe that is its charm. It is a pity that the side lounge can only be accessed by climbing the staircase. I noticed that the hotel guests are mostly seniors and so the lounge was empty as walking up the stairs can be quite daunting. If the side lounge could be flat, then there will be more seating space.

This is a unique hotel in that it is still privately owned and the owners want to preserve the history. It is beautifully restored. There is a bar/restaurant on the first level known for classic drinks as well as cocktails invented by the bartenders. There is also a restaurant downstairs that we only ate at for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect for getting around to see the touristy spots like the space needle and Pike Place Market. We walked half a block down to get on the monorail that takes you back and forth from the space needle. We walked 3 blocks to Pike Place and then walked to the ferries to catch a ferry to Bainbridge Island and then back to the hotel.

Everything was organized and clean. We were amazed as to how the hot water was quickly available from the hot water tap since we were on the 12th floor. The rooms are small but their layout and furnishings are top notch. The restaurant and bar within are also superb.

The 2 elevators are slow and small. this causes some waiting time but does not distract from the other benefits the hotel offers.

Comfortable hotel. Loved the classic historical feel to the hotel. Everyone who worked at the hotel was kind and seemed to enjoy their work.

Easy to get to Pike Places Market, restaurants, bus system great. Downtown Seattle is not a nice area anymore with drugs, crime, homeless, so one needs to be vigilant.

Good value hotel in an excellent location. 10 mins walk to Pike Place Market. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. We also liked the bar, good value food with friendly staff.

The rooms were a little dark and dated, though clean and comfortable. There was little information given on check in. It would have been useful to be told : when and where breakfast was served (restaurant next door), that there was a door linking the hotel to the mall and monorail (upstairs in lobby), and that there is a shuttle provided to the cruise port for most cruise departures, this needs to be booked with concierge ($15 per person).

liked the space in the room; close walking distance to the piers, shopping and pike market

price was very high; although many attractions were within close walking distance, between pike and pine street the homeless and drug addicted population were very evident. Often we had to avoid certain streets to get back to the hotel

Great location. We stayed here prior to our Alaska cruise. Was a great hotel and they offered a cruise shuttle for a fee. Hotel is close to things you want to see in downtown Seattle.

Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. Clean room. It would be a great place to stay if you were planning to stay on foot in downtown. It was nice to be able to call down to the valley to ask for your car so you didn’t have to wait long to receive it.

Bathroom had not been renovated recently with older fixture for sink and tub. That would have been ok, but they were like 70’s ew. I didn’t care for having to valet park, but that was on me not reading the fine print. I had to drive to the destination I visited for, so that was an extra $20 in gratuity to park the car when I left and park it when I returned. Then another $20 (actually $30 bc I didn’t have anything smaller on arrival) and departure.

It's a beautiful building. The architecture is lovely. The room was very nice. Food and service for breakfast was excellent.

I am disabled and was traveling with a friend. The accessible rooms had 1 bed. That's very impractical. Many disabled travel with companions and don't want to sleep together. The worst thing was the toilet. It was so low that even my non disabled friend had trouble getting off of it. I would not stay there again simply because of that horrible toilet. The restaurant is accessible via a staircase. Even if you go around and come in from outside, there are stairs inside to the tables They need an OSHA consult.

We loved everything about our stay, the staff were very friendly and our room was gorgeous. The hotel is only steps from a casual dining food hall & shopping centre where the monorail takes you to the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens for just a few dollars. The Pike Place market is a short walk away. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent, the food was delicious and the staff were warm and friendly. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the cruise ship port which was efficient and easy. We would definitely stay again next time we are in Seattle.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this hotel - it was all fabulous.
