A lovely heritage hotel, fully renovated, meticulously clean, and run by super-motivated staff. From a warm welcome to an offered nightly complimentary glass of wine, we felt more like personal houseguests rather than hotel clients. Rooms are solid and quiet, heralding an artisanal level of construction from the hotel's 1920's initial build. Off the main lobby was a beautiful "blue-sky" meeting area, perfect for chats and relaxing. During the morning, the hotel also ran a superb coffee bar that would give any high-end coffee house a serious run. Not a bad accomplishment for the ancestral city home of Starbucks! Location was convenient for everything downtown.
As a heritage building, it is physically limited on things like a pool or a hot tub (nice to haves). The bathrooms are clean, tiled and with high-end fixtures, however micro-small. One tiny glass shelf and no place for toiletry kits. Turning-on the shower meant getting sprayed with cold water because of the plumbing compromises the hotel had to make when they changed the original bathtubs for showers. Using the toilet meant sitting slightly cross-wise due to the proximity of the shower enclosure.

The hotel was very central and close to the train to the airport so that was very convenient. I like that they only clean the room upon request which is great for the environment but also for sleeping in. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
One thing I didn't appreciate...at check-in I was told the security deposit is 75 dollars PER night, which is rather expensive. What's even more interesting is that when they requested the pre-autorisation on my credit card the lady at the reception didn't tell me the whole sum they'd retain and neither was the sum displayed on the machine. So basically you're asked to agree to an amount that you don't know. When I asked the amount she got quite defensive and said she wasn't trying to hide it from me, but it was never mentioned until I specifically asked for the total amount. In other hotels they tell you or it's displayed on the machine.

Loved the location. Close to the Paramount Theater where our concert was. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. Hotel was clean and up to date.
I’m from Alaska so I enjoy a cool room. Had a hard time regulating the temperature. The bathroom was very nice but wish there was more counter space. And at least one towel rack or holder next to the sink. I also was disappointed that there was only one chair in the room. If you are traveling by yourself it would have been fine, but having your significant other with you, another chair would have gone a long way in the comfort department. Parking was also very expensive in this area. Expect to pay $35 - $55 a day.

Comfortable room, could control the heat. Very clean, quiet and all staff were very pleasant. Good shower, staff provided extra coffee for the machine, no probs. Good location as we walked everywhere we wanted to go.
Room and bathroom were a bit small for the price (but Seattle is expensive, I guess).

I liked the decoration as it didn’t feel like standard room hotel. It was clean and room was super spacious (we had a kind room, an open sofa bed, a baby crib and still had space to move around. Location was very convenient next to the monorail stop, shops, and short walk to pike market.
Bathroom was too small. The bathroom sink didn’t have any space on its side where you could leave your toiletry bag or anything at all. You also didn’t have any place to leave your clothes to get dressed inside the bathroom.

True what others say about the hallways smelling like campfire, but I did not detect this scent in my room, and it was actually kinda pleasant in the hallway. The room was beautifully decorated with high end products in the bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Perfect location for exploring downtown, including Pikes Place and the Aquarium. A massive shoutout to the housekeeping and front desk staff, who located a piece of gold jewelry I left behind in the room, and held it in the hotel safe until I could return to retrieve it. Many, many thanks.

From my arrival and valet parking attendant, to super friendly front desk that were able to get me into my room early (despite not asking for it-I had asked to store my luggage), to nice room more along the European model of very efficient use of small space, which I prefer, to a glass of good Happy Hour wine at attached bar, to perfect location- all was excellent.
My only ask is that some padding be applied to corner of the bed frame! I couldn’t really see it and both I and my husband bruised our shins getting around it to get to the windows!

The hotel boasted clean and well-maintained facilities, which made for a comfortable stay. Its location was excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The rooms were spacious, thoughtfully designed, and offered plenty of room to relax. Additionally, the high-quality water and coffee supplies in the room were a nice touch, enhancing the overall experience. While there were some service issues, the positive aspects of the hotel's infrastructure stood out.
The restaurant was overpriced, and although the car park was right beside the hotel, they insisted on a valet service—just to drive the car 50 feet, which felt unnecessary. There were two elevators, but one was always out of service, oddly rotating which one was broken each day. Both receptionists were cold and seemed unhappy with their work, which left a poor first impression. In my room, I noticed an odd picture: a man cleaning the floor while a woman stood over him with an air of authority. While it may have aimed to challenge stereotypes, it seemed to create a different kind of imbalance. A strange decor choice that left me wondering about the intended message.

This is a very attractive boutique hotel with lovely furnishings and art work making it a pleasant place to stay. Our bedroom was spacious with a little seating area. The location was great for everywhere we wanted to go and also close to public transport but also within easy walking distance to many tourist locations such as Pikes Market. The staff were very efficient and welcoming. Riders restaurant in the hotel had good food although at times got very busy. There is also a coffee shop for carry out coffees and pastries next to the foyer. Would recommend this hotel and definitely use it again. Excellent value for money.
There is no breakfast available at the hotel but several breakfast locations close by.

Our room was so cozy and quiet and beautifully updated (as is the hotel). The elevators are fast. Cafe Darte coffee always delish. Friendliest, most helpful and warm staff throughout our stay. Valet service quick! Perfectly central to our event in Pioneer Square, our kids in Fremont and walkable to Lake Union and back for the 4th. We had the best stay thank you well done!
Not possible we realize but spaces were tight. It was fine for what we needed but you might want a little more breathing room
