Recommendation for The Astor House Bed and Breakfast We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Astor House Bed and Breakfast, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and attention to detail made it clear that this is a special place. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the peaceful surroundings ensured a restful night’s sleep. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They provided excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions, and their genuine friendliness made us feel like we were staying with old friends. The homemade breakfast each morning was a highlight, featuring delicious, freshly prepared dishes that set the tone for the day. The Astor is a beautiful old home in a nice older tree-lined neighborhood. We had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay. Hosts were helpful and pleasant; we enjoyed conversing with them. They referred us to a good local Italian restaurant nearby (Angelina's). We had to negotiate a spiral staircase to get to our room, but our host helped us get our luggage up. Breakfast was fabulous. Parking was easy in back of the house. We would stay here again if we are ever in Green Bay. A great alternative to a chain hotel!

There were a few quirks in the room (like the fan in the bathroom). Coffee in the room would have been nice, but that was not a deal-breaker.

Everything, but especially breakfast. Linda and Tom are wonderful hosts with a warm welcome, even upgrading our room at no cost upon our late evening arrival. The accommodations, location, everything are top-notch. But back to breakfast - wow, the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had + fruit + an amazing open faced breakfast sandwich with eggs, sausage, cream cheese and avocado + the piece de resistance, a fantasticly light, lemon meringue confection. WOW. We are definitely returning for another stay.

It was the most wonderful experience I’ve had in traveling. The food was completely amazing and the presentation was beautiful. It was so delicious! Tim and Linda are very personable and accommodating and were genuinely concerned that the guests have the best experience possible. The room was beautiful and very clean and comfortable! And I was able to sit out on the front porch and read, even though there is some street traffic, it is so peaceful. The grounds are also pristine. It was just a wonderful experience all around, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Not a darn thing.

Astor house is a beautiful home outside and in, with cosy spacious rooms and a lovely dining room to enjoy. Tom and Linda are exceptional hosts and could not be more welcoming. We requested an early check-in at late notice as a snow storm was rolling in and they were very accommodating of us. But truly, Astor house is worth booking just to enjoy Lindas home cooked breakfasts! They are unbelievably good and I fear I will never eat another breakfast as good as hers. You MUST request their award winning Cinnamon bun - it will change your life. We absolutely loved our stay and would travel back to Green Bay (from the UK!) just to stay here again.

Linda and Tom were exceptional hosts. They texted to confirm my reservation and when I would be checking in, and they were right there to greet me when I did. I had a quick stay but they were super accommodating and kindly prepared a snack for me to take in the morning since I was leaving very early. Gold stars all around!

The stairs were fine for me, but anyone who might have difficulty with stairs may want to request a ground floor room. This is an older home so the stairs were made for smaller feet. :-)

The owners are so friendly and accommodating. We had to leave early (before breakfast usually starts) on our last day and they made a special to-go treat bag just for us. The first morning we had the option to eat down in the parlor or have breakfast served to our room. They even allowed you to select the exact time you'd want to have breakfast so they could make it fresh and hot for you. They really go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay!

The only thing I can even think of would be they supplied combo shampoo/condition type toiletries (which typically dont do well for ladies hair). I usually bring my own but happened to forget this time. In the big picture, this is very very very minor. We loved our stay!

Tom and Linda were such amazing hosts. They gave us some great recommendations of things to do in the area. We stayed in the London room which we loved. Breakfast was amazing - we had a three course breakfast including a homemade pecan pie cake which was one of the best things we had ever tried. Would 100% stay here again if we were in the area.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

Wonderful, friendly and involved hosts; beautifully decorated and maintained historical home; two lush gardens; historic district location; comfortable porch and outdoor seating; thoughtful restaurant recommendations; great breakfast (including fresh fruit and tasty herbs): altogether, just what a truly exceptional BnB experience ought to provide - and DID! Plus, they picked up and mailed back a cap left at our evening dining choice.

Great building, lovely gardens, delicious breakfast. Our hosts Linda and Tom were friendly and full of suggestions re: how to spend our limited time in their city. The location is in a historical area so there is lots of eye candy. Beautiful homes everywhere! Linda goes over the breakfast menu in advance to make sure all guests are happy with the breakfast selections, something we have never experienced at a B&B prior! Great value!

Our unit was bi level, and we were at the top of the building. We loved it, but if you have trouble with stairs, it is best to go with a different room. If you are up to it, you will be greatly rewarded!
