Clean and had a great breakfast area.

I was woken up very early by a dog barking. And it continued barking on and off all morning. Guests with pets should be in a separate area away from others.

Came down for a Morgan Wallen concert, was a 20 ish minute drive to Camp Randall. Great and QUIET location with caribou coffee down the street (walking distance) gas station, + an Irish pub for a quick pint. The room was SPACIOUS as can be. Not an issue at all. Easy to check in, good parking even on a busy weekend. Friendly staff, knowledgeable, and help you out with anything you need.

One thing would be no hot water in the shower. It was mildly warm, but not comfortable & you wanted to speed up your shower when you had one. Only 1 elevator, so being on the 3rd or 4th floor it was a bit of a pain with luggage at times. Honestly though, you make 1-2 trips a day so not that big of a deal.

So clean! Spacious! Large Lobby area. Large breakfast area (good breakfast) Rooms large, modern decor, equipped with everything you need. Staff are friendly, kind, and helpful.

Too difficult to get to the airport from here, about 7 miles of jigs and jogs, so many turns, even with GPS it’s tricky, unless you live in Madison. I got lost, gave up and left my car at the hotel (returning there for another stay in a few days) but the taxi called didn’t come in time, Uber App was funky, I was panicking when one of the hotel employees offered to take me to the airport. I was so grateful to this gentleman who definitely went the “2nd mile” for a guest.

The king room was very spacious and had a nice TV and large refrigerator. The staff that welcome this was very friendly and helpful.

This was a pet friendly hotel, we don't have pets and would have liked to been offered a pet-free room. There was no carpeting and upon entering, we immediately noticed the floor was tacky when we walked on it. The room furniture was outdated and most likely there for pet friendly purposes. Also the back-lit mirror in the bathroom is not adequate for those of us that apply makeup. Being that that was the only light, made it difficult.

The building was clean, the room was wonderful, and the location felt safe.

The gentleman who checked us in could use some coaching on how to speak to people. He referred to my Mother as "hey you" or just "you" a few times. I did at one point tell him to stop referring to her that way, and he ignored me. I'm not a violent man, but I was definitely getting fed up with the way he spoke to her. Hopefully he's not like this with everyone.

The price

The urinal cake smell in the room. Not sure if that is supposed to be a room freshener or what but it was horrible. Also, our room was right above the building central air unit and it was very very loud and went on & off all night. Our room was an adjoining room with unknown neighbors next door. They had an infant that cried several times in the middle of the night and due the adjoining room door, the baby sounded like it was actually in our room. No sound buffer whatsoever. The room was spacious and seemed clean but during the day you could see the heavy layer of dust all over. We booked last minute and got a great deal but had I paid full price for this room I really would have been unhappy. They need to do something about that urinal cake smell ASAP.

All of the staff members I had contact with were both courteous and professional. I also liked that the hotel site explains in great detail how check-in will work and any additional fees that may be charged at the time of check-in. I also really enjoyed the hot tub. It had the perfect temperature and appeared clean. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel due to my personal schedule but the smell of the breakfast foods walking through the lobby was wonderful. I can only imagine it tasted great!

The chemical smell from the cleaning of my room was a bit overwhelming. Glad to know that the room was cleaned well though. Thank you!

We received a free upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi which was unexpected The room was spacious and had good amenities Staff was friendly Breakfast was decent

Cleanliness was not that great. There were empty bags of snacks under the AC, and dust/dirt around many corners around the room WiFi is not password protected which should be a standard given today's technology landscape

We've actually been here longer than the 4 planned days because the house we were purchasing fell through. I have NEVER met more accommodating, friendly, hardworking hotel staff. EVER! I believe this La Quinta is managed or owned by a family. And, they are wonderful. They've empathized with our situation, ALWAYS have a smile and polite greeting for us, and they are right on top of any needs (towels, bedding, key to laundry, etc.) without hesitation or negative response. When you encounter people who are respectful, decent, and kind, you really appreciate it. Especially when you're already frazzled from things going wrong elsewhere. Btw, the rooms are beyond clean. Housekeeping staff is on it!

The internet connectivity is weak. They need to redo that to provide blanket coverage (an easy fix), the shower water pressure is not the best, but not the worst either, and they could switch up breakfast a bit (that would be cool.) Overall, I can't see any reason not to recommend a stay here.

The check in staff upgraded my room at no charge because I have a broken back and was walking with a walker. This room was just around the corner from registration. My original room was on 3rd floor at the end. The got tub/pool area was so clean!!

Air conditioning want very cool. Beds were too hard for my liking. My daughter loved it.
