Nice hotel, although bit dated. Friendly staff. Good location, close to subway and short taxi ride to all sights. Very nice to have the pool during the hot days and the hotel provides towels at the pool, but there are only 4 beds so it is full very quickly. Housekeeping leaves small water bottles every day, which was surely appreciated.

Room was a bit stuffy, old and there was a slightly weird smell in the room and bathroom. Airco in the room was very loud and wifi was dropping out sometimes. Breakfast was not amazing, but you can order eggs outside of the buffet which was nice.

The staff here were amazing. They were so kind, attentive and helpful to us which was very reassuring when arriving in a new country that we have never visited before. The breakfasts were really good and the pool area is brilliant for relaxing after a day exploring Tashkent in the heat. The location is great being a short walk from Kosmonavtlar metro stop making it easy to get about the city. Staff were also happy to order a Yandex taxi if needed. The TV channel selection in the room is also really broad and international. Everything was also very clean and worked well in the room.

The bed was a little hard, but this is quite normal in Uzbekistan. Pretty easy to get used to sleeping on.

This was our second stay at the hotel and this time our room was on the second floor, facing away from the road, over looking the pool and didn't smell. It was a much nicer experience. Staff friendly as previous visit. Area is quieter than some areas of the city but we liked this and being so close to the metro / supermarket / parks was perfect. We ordered food around pool and was great quality.

It's a true pleasure to write a review for the Sharq hotel! Unfortunately, since I arrived in Tashkent I had major health issues (rushed 3 times to emergency!). Therefore I had to stay at the hotel for one week. During this time, hotel's staff and management have been incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive. I really want to thank them and recommend the hotel! We stayed first in a regular room and then at the cottage. The cottage is just perfect! Spacious, well organized, with two bathrooms and in front of the pool. Location is the best, 5 minutes walk from the Metro, and at a walking distance there are so many interesting spots.

No elevator.

Clean, good location to get to ATM, metro and shops, and helpful staff plus a lovely outdoor area. Great air-con in the room and a nice quiet location, and a great selection at breakfast. We were able to leave our bags after check out to explore the city and they helped us get a good value transfer to the train station. NOTE: we weren’t given the registration slips, as it was done by the hotel online (we didn’t know this but they sent them digitally to us when we asked)

The bed was a little hard (but this seems to be standard in Uzbekistan in comparison to the U.K.). we had a problem with our transfer on arrival as we couldn’t find them, so sorted ourselves a different taxi instead

The staff was wonderful and the room was very comfortable. The location is excellent for seeing sites in Tashkent and the metro is just a few minutes away. The outside area and pool are plus.

There are lots of restaurants 10 minutes away but only a few right near the hotel.

The hotel is very intimate and quiet, with a family atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and friendly. At the reception everyone knows English. The pool is very clean. Beautiful garden. The rooms are very well-kept and clean. Very good location, close to everything.

The building looks well renewed. The swimming pool is definitely a plus. Breakfast offers a wide range of choices and food has a good quality. People of the staff are very kind and helpful.

The amount of tourist tax should be specified before the reservation.

Very friendly, clean and well maintained. We ate a lovely, freshly prepared meal in the restaurant. The local beer was great. One of the waiters spoke very good English and had a lovely chatty style. We stayed in the little villa by the pool - we appeared to have the place to ourselves.
