Son Tra is an amazing place to stay with a wonderful, quiet beach with plenty of sun loungers etc. It is very laid back and relaxed. The resort is located on a verdant peninsula, about twenty minutes from the city centre. We loved that it was at a distance from the hustle and bustle of Da Nang. The staff were very helpful and assisted us with renting a Vespa and organising a snorkelling trip. We booked a garden view Villa which had a private pool, which was lovely. The villa itself was very spacious. It has a fully furnished kitchen - but curiously not one pot or cutlery in it ;)

Given that Vietnam has such an amazing cuisine, the food in the restaurant is not quite up to scratch. This is a bit of shame as there are no restaurants close by and it is a bit tricky to get a grab (Vietnam's version of uber) to the city around dinner time. However, the receptionists are happy to help organise a cab, you just need to give them 20 minutes' notice.

The facilities were well orgnized and the location was just beautiful. I enjoyed watching the fishing boats working in the night time and the view of Da nang across the bay. The dining and food in general was quite exceptional and delicious and they have room service. Overall my favorite experience was with the staff. They were very attentive and caring about my stay and comfort. Everyone from the maintenance, housekeeping, dining and reception did their best to make me feel at home. I cannot say enough nice things about them. I even had the chance to have casual talks with the generl manager who cares very much about his facilities and staff many of which managed to communicate in several languages including English.

The only observation I can make about the resort was its need for some timely remodeling, although, nothing was shabby or broken it was still a bit dated.

1. The hotel location is excellent. It is facing a very good beach. 2. The house was very spacious and clean. 3. The hotel is outside of Da Nang, but very close if you use Grab(a very cheap taxi service) 4. The staff is very polite, but this is everywhere in Vietnam so not something exceptional. I didn't like

1. The hotel is very old. Don't get me wrong everything is usable but a hotel should be more luxury than your home. The air-conditioners were very old, the furniture also. The houses should be renovated. 2. While the beach is very good there are like 5 umbrellas, which are aways busy as you could expect. 3. The restaurant is very small and if you come during the high season I am not sure it can be used even for breakfast. For example we waited more than an hour to be served.

We loved the location in Son Tra. It was secluded and away from the noise of Da Nang Beach, but still close enough to everything via Grab or hotel transportation. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the sea side villas are amazing! The staff is so friendly, amazing, and appreciative that we chose to stay there. Since we were returning for a 2nd trip, the staff surprised us with a "message" on our bed upon our return, as well as my wife's birthday during the stay. We loved everything about this place, and it is difficult to explain in one paragraph. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The location itself was great, away from all the crowds tho occasionally you will hear some screaming and laughter from the public beach nearby with their water activities etc. the beach was very clean and surreal. The breakfast selection was great! Their in house WhatsApp chat was great, I felt like I had a personal butler for room service etc.

While the staff were nice and friendly but I generally found them lack the training or experience to deliver even at a 4-star resort level. The foundational facilities were great but they really showed their age and really in need of some serious maintenance and renovation work. Was going to book the spa but it was an open air spa with the heat and the noise (literally next to a series of cafes/shops etc nextdoor but can't cross over there) and everything else so it wasn't ideal and didn't have it at the end. The food at the restaurant was fine but nothing to write home about.

Beach and clear calm sea was amazing. Pool at the room was a delight and perfect for a dip after a hot day. Meals were okay but no ambience at dinner with bright lights and limited staff. Breakfast had a large variety and Sandy was amazing. Only cost $6 by Grab to town so not too far. This property is getting tired but still offers great value for money in a peaceful spacious environment. Reception staff extremely helpful and Hana was always willing to help. Thank you. Great stay

Stunning ! We were so privileged to have an entire villa for ourselves with private pool and beach. The villa is charming and the sounds of the waves while sleeping is the best experience! The villa was very clean such as the private beach with Crystal clear water. What an amazing landscape for our honey moon. We will remind this place forever ! We had also the best massage ever ! The breakfast is complete and good. The landscape is rare and unique ! Book it if available!

The bathroom could be updated

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The xmas Eve Party was a lovely touch. The rooms are a great size and comfortable and cleaned each day. The pool was a great size and the beach was cleaned daily and was lovely. We liked we coudl order dinner to our villa.

The kitchen had no utensils to cook anything. No plates or cups or cutlery. Which was a shame as we thought having a kitchen would be usable and helpful with 3 children. This should be made clear on the description as when we read it has a kitchen you assume you can cook. We stayed for Xmas day and couldn't cook anything. If the weather had been better we would have stayed at the resort more but you do need to taxi or drive to the center (which was easy enough)

Our stay at Son Tra was fantastic. We booked the beach side villa. The villa was much larger than we expected and was right on the beach. The beach itself was really nice, there were beach chairs to relax on and boards and kayaks to use in the water. It was great to swim in too of course! The buffet breakfast was amazing, lots of variety. Everyone at the resort was lovely and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking about it! I also wanted to make a special mention about the receptionist, Ms. Hang, who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help us with our stay at the resort. My husband needed to see a doctor on our last day and Ms. Hang was able to speak over the phone on our behalf to book us into a nearby clinic. This saved us a lot of hassle and stress. Can't wait for the next time we are able to stay here 😊

Gorgeous sea view with crashing waves, so peaceful to listen to at night. The private pool and loungers are great and the complimentary mini bar is an added bonus. The staff here are so lovely and welcoming! On check out their driver picked us up from our room due to the rain, took us to reception to complete check out, then drove us to our chosen bus station for free! Food (lunch/dinner) was pretty good, the chicken curry especially. The breakfast was OK, as it was included for us there was no issue. We took a long walk down to the Pagoda and saw lots of wild monkeys which was really cool!

The place could do with some renovations/fixing up - door handles falling off in our room, wood planks that should be on the wall are missing, the villa itself has an empty, almost eerie feeling to it. Wi-fi does not reach to poolside. Hot water runs out fast, unable to enjoy the bathtub/hottub because of this, and then the shower too cold and was unusable until the next morning. We politely chased up a room service via whatsapp order after an hour of waiting just to double check it went through, once we received it the gentleman profusely apologised as reception told the chef/servers we were “upset” which wasn’t the case, so we were a little unhappy that the communication wasn’t passed on correctly as we did not want to make the chef/servers feel bad.
