There is nothing to not like. The staff is absolutely amazingly supportive, friendly amd professional. Alice has become a dear friend and she goes above and beyond the call of duty every day. She is so kind, patient and you can definitely see her putting her tourism degree to use. We always stay at Moonlight when we come to Hanoi and we will continue to do so in the future. We love the neighbourhood of Tay Ho. Delicious food and friendly local folks make us feel at home. We love the amenities in the room such a full size fridge, washer/dryer and seating area.

Excellent service with great communication skills, they provided everything we have asked for. About the rooms also perfectly clean and very cosy, all the facilities like washing machine, cloth dryer, hair dryer, wi-fi, A/C, iron is inside and ready for the use for guests. Very close to the city centre and all the landmarks as well as old quarter, 3 min by walking there is circle k that is open 24/7 and on the opposite side there is a street with a lot of local food and small shops. We also asked for leaving our luggage for few days because we were travelling to Sa Pa and there was no problem at all! 10/10

We wanted somewhere quieter than the Old Quarter but close by for our last two nights of our trip. This place was recommended on a Facebook group for travel to Vietnam. My friend and I booked two apartments: A balcony room and a Garden View room. They both provided great views of the West Lake and Hanoi and were clean and comfortable. The staff were great to communicate with before arrival and knowing there was a 24 hour concierge available was great. Rooms were comfortable and secure. The Garden Room even had a full kitchen and dining table! We found great coffee and food nearby and it was a five minute ride by Grab to Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Great accom at a great price.

We had no complaints.

Definitely the best place I have stayed in Vietnam. I really appreciated the quiet and privacy. It was a good place to unwind a little and get away from the chaotic city. The room is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and I had everything I needed. Having the balcony, which is a sun trap, over looking the lake, was lovely. I really like this place and it was the perfect way to end a busy trip. I’d stay again and I do recommend it.

I noticed that each time after I sat on the sofa, I felt itchy and had some bites. Could be a coincidence, but I don’t think so. Maybe just needs a deep clean.

Clean, in the quite area beside the lake. You may need 30min to reach the old town on foot, but this was ok for us. As stated, this is an apartement building, so you don’t have a brakfast. But you do have a Circle K store very near. And a Sen Cafe for a morning coffe or tea that I highly recomend for their ambient and quality. Just ask a hotel for a backdoor exit to reach them within a few minutes.

We had a short stay of two nights occuping two appartements (4+2), one room didn’t have a window, but it was not an issue for us.

Centrally located on a quiet street overlooking the lake. Lots of good eateries within walking distance. The staff is helpful. There is a 5 gallon bottle of water in the room.

The bathroom shows signs of wear and tear. There isn't enough towels and bath mats because nothing dries in the bathroom. Our suite is spacious but more than half the space is shelving and closets which is accurately portrayed in the photos. We never used the terrace because the lake looks dirty and the air is smoggy.

I arrived before check-in time and Tracy allowed me to check-in early. I appreciate that a lot. For the rest of my stay, I have dealt with Alice, who enthusiastically had assisted me with all my concerns. In a foreign country, you’d want someone reliable like her as a receptionist, so I rebooked another stay after my side trip to Cat Ba. The place is near the West Lake and another lake. The neighborhood has a relaxing and laid-back vibe. The area has a beautiful jogging path and many coffee shops surround the property. If you have been to Hanoi several times like I have, in my opinion, this is the next best place after the Old Quarter.

I recently stayed at Moonlight Tay Ho in Hanoi and had a wonderful experience. The stay was incredibly comfortable, and the reception staff were exceptionally sweet and accommodating. The breathtaking view from my room added to the overall charm of the hotel. Everything was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail in room cleaning was evident. The hotel staff went above and beyond by arranging a tour for me, making my stay even more memorable. One standout feature was the inclusion of a washing machine in the room – a unique and highly appreciated addition. However, it's worth noting that the hotel is a bit far from the main center (Old Quarters), which could be a downside for those wanting a more central location. Despite this, Moonlight Tay Ho offers a delightful and cozy retreat with excellent service.

Brilliant location, lovely little apartment with everything you need directly on the river with a view towards the pergoda (only 200m's) away. 5 min walk along river best bahn mi in Hanoi - Banmi Fami Thanks to Alice and Liam, especially about advice for the national parade and the fly over views from the vietnam airforce , helicopters and fighter jets were just amazing flying in formation over the lake.

Having a kitchen and separate bedroom. Also, quiet area but close walk to stores, restaurants, street life. ALSO if you get one of the lake view rooms, the view is SWEET!!

Well, friends who have stayed here said there was some sort of smell from the bathroom pipes, but I’ve stayed here a few times and never noticed this. You could just close the bathroom door, or bring an air freshener. I have never had a problem. There are some rooms that dont’ have a view, those would not be my first choice.
