Staff were very friendly, especially Ken whom escorted us to our room and made us feel very welcomed. Room was very clean and location was great with lots of restaurants, places to get a massage and cafe around. Breakfast had a nice variety and eggs cooked to your liking.

The hotel is situated on a corner, where there is lots of younger people that congregate at night on folding chairs and meet with their friends, whilst drinking fruit teas and coffee. This can get quite busy and noisy, so might not suit people if they want a quite relaxing location. This did not bother us, however may be loud for others.

Great value for what hotel offers. Large rooms, modern bathroom, free minibar, roof top pool, amazing breakfast, coffee shops around, walkable to many attractions and other restaurants and local food establishments. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Tour guide operator desk on site.

Pool only opens until 6pm. Bathrooms are not well noise insulated and, you can hear water running from room above when in use.

Breakfast was excelent, many options, both traditional and European. The locations was good, close to main ponints of attraction. The room was decent size and clean. Also we enjoyed the included mini-bar which was restocked daily with a nice variety of products

The bathroom was a little small but clean and well equiped with toiletries.

I was asked to pay for the room on arrival even though I had already paid. I booked through booking.com and hotel took payment on day of booking. On arrival they said I hadnt paid. I had to get online and show the transaction in from my bank account to prove I had paid. They also said my friends had not paid for their room when they had paid already for it. Just make sure that you keep record of payment on you when you check in.

The customer service provided by the front desk staff is excellent. (1) We had two stays a week apart at this property. The staff, who checked us in for our second stay, could remember us and she immediately passed us a powerbank that we left at the hotel after our first stay. Her name is Chelsea or Julie. (2) One of the staff was busy with the checking in when we checked out after our second stay and booked a Grab rider. However the Grab driver who didn't want to take us to the airport and he couldn't communicate with us in English. I had to ask the staff, a young man on duty on Sat 11 Feb morning, to quickly help me to talk to the Grab driver that I would need him to cancel the ride. The staff came to assist us. I cannot ask for a better location at this price point. It is close to the Saigon River riverside and I could go to jog there easily though it is a challenge to cross the road with the heavy traffic of cars and motorcycles. They even upgraded us to better rooms for our second stay.

(1) The "Grand Deluxe Double River & Town View" room is not what I expected. The view of the river side was blocked by a building. One could only see a little bit of the river from the sides. I wouldn't think it is worthwhile to pay a premium for such a view. However the view of the riverside from the rooftop swimming pool is good. Please see attached photo. (1) It looked like I am charged twice for a safety deposit of 1,000,000 VND for my second stay which was completed yesterday. One of the two charges was reversed. However one remained. It should only be one safety deposit. At the time of this writing, I am still pursuing the matter with property messages through booking.com.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Pool was very good with amenities. Was open late which was perfect. Location was very good, very accessible to many places by foot.

The location is super nice and there’s a lot of restaurants, coffee shop, bars nearby which is only walking distance.

The room could be a little bit more soundproof? At night the sound from surroundings are pretty loud, even when you’re in the higher floor.

Great location near Japan town and many cafes and restaurants. It’s also surprisingly quiet. The staff were kind and helpful and even printed some documents for me. It has a pool and rooftop bar (but the bar was always closed and pool didn’t look clean). It also has restaurant but I never went. I also really enjoyed the free snacks and drinks in the room. Good for a short stay.

Room were quite small for the price. Check in and check out were a bit slow. The rooftop bar was always closed and the rooftop pool was small and seemed very cloudy. The restaurant was always dead and way too expensive so I never went. My biggest concern - the shower in our room was very strange. It was right next to the bed and there was a sliding door to close it, but the water still poured out at the bottom onto the carpet. Very inefficient setup if you ask me. I hope they change this soon. Also, please remove the carpet - it will get damp and moldy.

The location is very good, and the staff was super friendly. The Hotel had everything we needed. If Im comming back to Vietnam I will definitly come back to the Bay Hotel.

Only positives!

Breakfast is good , centrally located, nearby options for Indian cuisine. Very convenient location all tourist attractions are just at walking distance of max 2km radius

Be cautious while booking room without windows.
