The bed could be a little softer, the hot water issue is still not fixed. The hot water is not sufficient during night time.

Excellent location and breakfast.

Our room, number 505, located on the fifth floor, was quite noisy due to the extractor exhausts of the neighbouring building starting and stopping; however, it stopped around 10 pm. On the other hand, our daughter's room, which was on the same floor but on the opposite side, had no noise issues. Additionally, there was no separation between the shower and the toilet in our room, which resulted in the floor becoming very wet and slippery.

Brilliant location. Delightful staff absolutely committed to ensuring our comfort and assisting us in every possible way. Great breakfast. The room was as described - so: not very big but comfortable with everything we could want. We were high up, had a glimpse of the river and could sleep with the glass doors open if we wanted - it was private.

We had expected a bigger room - it was described as "King Suite with Balcony" which raised our expectations. Technically it was as described.

The hotel is in a great location of district 1 with everything around: best restaurants, bars, massages & spas. The design of the room & hotel is eye-catchy, plus a great value for the money. The staff - specially the waiters & breakfast staff - are super attentive & suportive. (However, note that not 100% hotel receptionists are helpful comparing to those in other hotels, we need some lucks to meet the right ones).

Some tiny things but still annoying: the AC system is very loudly noisy, the window views to a messy dirty area, and no card for hanging in front of the door saying "pls make the room" or "privacy, pls".

I initially booked La Opera Hotel for just one night, as it was fully booked on my original travel dates. But after experiencing its charm, I was thrilled to secure additional nights—this place truly won me over. The location is incredibly convenient, and though my room had a balcony facing a busy street, I was amazed at how peaceful it remained thanks to excellent soundproofing. The staff went above and beyond, even helping me arrange a fantastic full-day Mekong Delta tour. I had initially booked another hotel/apartment that turned out to be a huge letdown, especially compared to the beautiful stays I’ve had elsewhere. But being led to La Opera felt like divine redirection—this hidden gem brought back the joy of my journey. Highly recommended!

This might not be a major issue, but I personally appreciate having hot water. The water temperature appeared to be preset at a certain level—not very hot—but it was tolerable given the warm weather outside.

Everything about the hotel was fine. We had a nice, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom set-up is a little strange and when you use the shower, the shower cubicle and adjoining toilet area get flooded, but you just need to put mats/towels down to dry it. The bath in the bedroom area - not for us :-) The breakfast was fine, not as much choice as in other places we stayed, but fresh fruit, freshly cooked omlette and local options available. Staff were pleasant.

The room wasn't cleaned after the first night and we had to ask in reception for someone to come after the second night. This was mainly a problem due to having to dry up after the shower and therefore needing a new mat/towels. We also missed the tea/coffee top-ups.

It’s very new and beautiful. We appreciate the design of room & friendly staffs! The room was quiet. The breakfasts buffet was adorable.

Not at all.

Location was quite good. Plenty of places to eat around. Staff were particularly nice and helpful. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me a room at the back so I slept well. I didn’t have time finish breakfast so the packed me some to take with me. I really appreciate the extra kindness. I would stay here again. I liked that the hotel was down a small street and not on a busy road.

The bed would benefit from a mattress topper. It was a little firm but not hard, and I did sleep well.

Breakfast options were limited but the food was pleasant. Room was clean and space was generous. The area is relatively safe for a single lady traveller even though there were bars/massage places dotted around offering dodgy services. A short walk to the main area and there's plenty of food options, especially japanese so it is convenient.

Soundproofing. Although I stayed away from the main street, my room was near the elevator and during peak periods, the sound of people walking past and talking were quite a nuisance. If the people in the rooms beside talked loudly, you could also hear them. The toilet bowl area is prone to ponding from the shower. although the design could have been better thought through, it is not as big of an issue as the poor soundproofing.

The services provided by staff were excellent! Great decorations in the room as well.

The design of the toilet/bathroom was questionable. The door was semi-transparent. I would be embarrassed if I were living with another person in the same room. The water from the bath might flow to the toilet areas, which is annoyed. For a person who doesn't have any online streaming account, the TV set will be completely useless. Even the terrestrial television channels were unavailable.
