It was a good standard of typical Asian style breakfast. The location was central to shopping mall, market, shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful especially Levi, he assisted us with our tours and gave us great advice.

The weather was very hot and humid. Going from air conditioning to hot ambient temperature we ended up getting a head cold. The traffic is unbelievable. Very dangerous crossing roads even at traffic lights or at pedestrian crossings. Motor bikes zoom through red lights also go the wrong way along a one-way street. SO BE CAREFUL crossing roads.

The spaciousness of the room and bathroom. Two mirrors helped with getting ready, and the air conditioning unit was powerful and valued in the hot weather. The rooftop pool was one of the reasons we chose the pool as we knew we would take advantage of this after the long days visiting the sights. The rooftop bar and seating area offered a lovely place to relax whilst seeing the city at night with all of the lights. The breakfast was the best we have had so far in a hotel - catered well for a daughter with various food allergies, as there was so many options. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and allowed us to keep our backpacks there on the last day before our flight to Hoi An.

On one of the double beds the quilt was slightly too small, which meant my two teenage daughters were leaving one uncovered when they turned over. However, this was amusing as parents to listen to!

The room was clean. I am not a big fan of carpets, but was very clean, the AC worked well. The breakfast was decent, with enough options, including an egg station and a pho station. The swimming pool and outdoor area were nice for cooling off after a day out. I chose a room with a bathtub, which looked like a jacuzzi, but the system didn’t work. Still, the bathtub was clean and comfortable enough, so I used anyway. In general, It was a good experience.

Great staff who did everything in their power to help whatever the requirements. Bell hops were fantastic with reasonable English speaking skills they did everything in their power to help. Room cleaners were impeccable in their duty. I am returning to the same hotel after a week in Vung Tau although classed a 3* hotel its much more than that.

Although a breakfast was free and included in the price I would like to see more variation of what was available. Never left hungry though.

The best location available in Saigon. Very friendly and helpful staff. We found Nam, Huy and Vân to be especially helpful and accommodating. Very kid-friendly in all aspects, the staff helps out to keep kids happy. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

The western part of the breakfast could have a larger selection (like cheese, yogurt, better cereal).

Location was perfect, staff very nice

I had a massage in the spa. The massage was great. However the massage therapist insisted on a tip. Even had a form printed out. I was surprised and she verbally accosted me. At that point I gave her a small tip. She chased me to the stairs and threw it at me. I was aghast! I reported this to the staff on. The feedback I received was the therapist was part time and they immediately fired her. Great massage, I would have been happy to hear that they taught her rather than just firing her.

The location is convenient. Everything is accessible on foot. The swimming pool rooftop with the view over the former South Vietnamese Presidential Palace is interesing. One clearly sees a Helicopter on the rooftop on that presidential palace, a reminder of the war.

The breakfast is very... poor to say the least. Other than that, nothing was bad. PS: if one does not mind windowless rooms, then you are going to like the spacious rooms the Hotel provides

The location is perfect 👌. Easy to get to the markets and an easy flat walk to the food court. There are plenty of local food options directly across the road, as well as numerous coffee ☕️ and juice bars.

The only thing that was inconvenient was some morning noise from the Hotel next door doing some repairs on one of the days I was staying there. This, however, was not the California Hotel's fault.
