The Louis Hotel is located in a small side street near Saigon Central Park. So you don't have any street noise. The room was big enough for one person. For two it might be a bit tight. But it's hard for me to judge as I'm travelling alone. There are enough ATMs and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity so you can get everything you need. There are also enough companies for a bus trip to Phnom Penh if you want to go there. It's easy to combine. The hotel offers a laundry service, which is always good. You can also book tours there. Since I've been to the city before and know the tours, I didn't go on any this time. There was no breakfast, but there are plenty of options around. A large shopping centre with everything you need is about 20 minutes away on foot. There's also a Starbucks there if you want breakfast. Wi-Fi is stable and good. Water was always nice and warm. The hallway is a little noisy, but I don't expect great insulation. It also depends a little on the other guests and how they behave. Unfortunately, you can't choose them in any hotel. If you want to see Ho Chi Minh City, the Louis Hotel is not a bad choice to spend a few days.

Perfect location in the city centre but hidden from the noise in a side alley without any traffic. Very kind staff and the room was very clean. The bed mattress was hard as I like it.

We could hear music from the Walking street a little bit but nothing that wouldn't let us sleep. The bathroom was separated from the room only with a glass door.

The service level at Louis Hotel was brilliant. The staff always greeted you with a smile and were very helpful with any issues I had, which were needing laundry done and the air conditioning not working in my room. I went out on an excursion and returned to the hotel with both my laundry washed and the air con fixed. The location of the hotel is also great, only a minute or two and you’re on the walking street. Close enough that you do hear the music during late hours, but the music isn’t loud enough to cause a real disturbance. The WiFi worked well enough to let me sync 90 videos from my GoPro onto the cloud overnight, which means it must be decent!

The bathroom is a shower room, so whenever you shower, everything gets wet. Although, I just timed my showers so that I wouldn’t need to use the room again until many hours after so everything had time to dry.

1) Read online reviews that room was hot, thus, went downstairs to ask for a portable fan when my room was still warm after a few hours outside The staff readily came and help me to switch to "auto-fan" mode and the room immediately cool as their manual fan mode has only "1-bar" which isn't enough... 2) The staff saw me facing issues with my door via their security camera and quickly came to guide me. Excellent service 3) Room was modest (as expect of a hostel) but very clean and all the basic amenities provided, towels, toothbrush and toothpaste sets, comb, cotton pad sticks, shampoo & shower lotions packs, etc were provided in seal packets (like the hotels)

Tucked away in a quiet alleyway, but minutes walk from busy Bui Vien Street. Bright, clean room. Friendly staff/family run.

The attitude of the young chap, think he’s the son of the owner, was poor, unfriendly- everything too much effort!!!! only 1 water provided on arrival, & no more, no tea/coffee or mugs in room, but a kettle??? Shower facility very odd, smack in the middle of the WC & sink, so everything gets wet when u shower, had to ask for an extra towel to wipe the floor etc. had to take shoes off every time you entered the building

The staff were really nice to us, they even gave me a bowl of steamed rice when I was not feeling so well, they were extremely nice. The location is very central and the hotel is very clean with everything you need for a city hotel

The only thing we would change is the colour of the bedsheets , we believe the room would look more elegant with plain white bedsheets and it would give it a cleaner look (even though the room is very clean ,it would look much better)

Louis hotel is a very clean and comfortable place. No outside shoes allowed and owners always cleaning the place. Change of towels daily. Super good value and a genuine property. Too many property scams in HCMC. Location is wonderful and away from main street although in the bustling area. I would return to the same place in heartbeat. Toilet is also clean and spacious.

No big deal but perhaps having a small stool at the pavement for wearing shoes will be very useful.

I needed a place to have a couple of rest days. Close to the bus station , clean and comfortable and this place was perfect. Restaurants, bars shops, ATM ,laundry, transport, everything within 5 minutes walk . Nice clean room , perfect for a chance to rest and get things done.

The room had quite a bit of light getting in at night , but I slept fine.

- Not that the room was not ready for check out at 2:45 pm. They first took the payment and then the informed me. Finally they cleaned it really fast and 30 min it was solved. But after a long flight, not a good news when you just want your shower - You can hear the noise from the street, feeling to sleep in the middle of the street because of that.
