One of the most memorable stays I’ve ever had at a hostel. The staff: Judy, Jenny, Moon and Tina were the best helpers you could ask for. They try to get to know you on a personal level and always ask how your day was and how you are feeling. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and make us feel comfortable - even to the extent of revising our itinerary to make it as easy as possible. The hotel itself is very good, beds are comfortable and the rooms are specious and clean. Location is quiet and situated in amongst gorgeous Rice fields giving a picturesque view in the morning. Highly recommended if you are staying in Hoi An. We even got a parting gift as we were leaving! Thank you Tina, Jenny, Moon and Judy for such an unforgettable stay!

Staff are some of the best social hostel staff. They’re very involved with all the games, but people at the same time, making sure everyone socializes and has a great time. Free Rum and Coke for 30 minutes is absolutely fabulous and so is the shuttle to the city for partying. I like the fact that they don’t exploit their relatively remote location by overcharging for drinks etc. but have very fair prices on everything. The staff is what makes this stay be a 10 however. Quick info, 80% of people here are dutch.

The location is relatively remote. It is a 40 minute walk to the city center and there is not a lot around. This is clear when you book however so not a major complaint, maybe they could just sell a bit more things in house so you don’t have to take a grab to a supermarket.

I was worried about staying in a hostel as an older traveler, but had such a fun time I stayed Textes days which they kindly accommodated! I chose the private room which was lovely, bed was comfy. It’s only 5 mins away from the centre which I loved and actually why I picked the place. Terrace with the pool looks out over rice fields, with ducks and water buffalo. They helped with the excursions I wanted to do and even the bus to take me on to Quy Nhon, even when I decided to stay longer. Nothing was a bother.

I didn’t like that I had to move on and leave the lovely girls working as volunteers there.. made me feel super welcome and included.

When I arrived at the Nest of the Cuckoo I was greeted by a team of smiling receptionists and a warm coffee. As my initial stay of 2 nights multiplied (thank you Moon & Lulu (Lily) for helping me keep my bed), this team of smiling receptionists became my dear dear friends. The hostel is in a superbly prime location and is immaculately run by owner Ben and reps spawned by god himself, Justine, Ellen, Lee, Daniel and H. A generous half hour serving of the finest rum and coke in Asia is followed by events which are prepared every night, including state of the art cocktail classes and bbq’s - to top it off a streamlined bus service delivers you to the doorstep of some exceptional bars and clubs every night of the week. The hostel is equipped with a swimming pool with water clearer than crystal itself, a rather exquisite pool table and beds which make me question anything I have ever previously laid on. When the time finally came I was sad to fly from the nest but I hope to return nae vow to return one day. Stay in the cuckoo for an experience of eternal joy and become a part of this benevolent establishment. Enough said. Cuckooooo 🦜🪹🌝🌙🧜🏼‍♀️🥖🏍️☀️

Best hostel we stayed in so far! We had a private room which had all you’d want: comfi beds, good shower, clean (and clean towels daily). But more importantly, the atmosphere was great! By organizing nice activities daily (such as a springroll class or family BBQ), Ben strikes the perfect balance between socializing, meeting new people and having fun, and - if you want - go out for drinks afterwards, without that being the sole focus (as you see in a lot of true party hostels). We extended twice and would definitely recommend staying here!

The best about the hostel was the staff and the volunteers. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. First you get to know the things to see and do around hoi an. I highly recommend the hai van pass and the cooking class. The hostel is a little bit outside of hoi an, but you can always rent a scooter or bycicle to get into town in 5 to ten minutes. The location of the hostel is close to the ocean and right in the nature, which makes it very quiet and relaxing. The room and the bathroom were very clean and everything you can wish for was included. Also there is food and drinks you can order at the hostel, which was very nice. The laundry service was very fast and easy. One of the best things was the daily activities such as beer pong, pubquiz or bingo. Everbody was so welcoming and i was looking forward to joining the events with the other guests and the staff. This might be the best hostel experience i ever had.

We would definitely recommend this place! Ben, the owner is a very nice friendly guy. The staff is amazing, Anna really took the time to welcome us with the map and an introduction to the town. The rooms are very clean, it was more like a hotel experiences for hostel prices. The infinity pool was insane overlooking the ricefields. Breakfast is good as well! Its such a chill place with a nice vibe. You could do karoake and beerpong at night with fellow guests, but if you would want to have a good nights sleep you do not hear any noice. The owner and the staff makes everyone feel very included and welcomed. We would definitely come back!

Probably the best hostel I've stayed at. Beds were great, very good breakfast, an activity every night and very social. The staff, together with the volunteers, really make the place. Moon and Judy were super sweet. Can't recommend this place enough

The only thing I can think of is the location, as it's right between the old town and the beach. In summer that would probably make a great location, but in winter it is slightly annoying that you can't just walk to places you want to visit

Thank you Daniel, Lee, Moon, Ellen and all the other staff members for the amazing time. When I arrived Moon told me all about what to do/eat in Hoi An. The rooms were nice and I loved the night activities they organised. Daniel, Lee and Ellen made every night a party I won’t easily forget. Thank you all for the amazing time. This has been one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had (and I’ve been traveling for more than a month).

You have to rent a motorbike (or grab) to get around because the old city is like a 15 minute drive . The staff will help you out to get one though. It will cost around 4-7 euros a day.

Nice and quiet location, extremely comfy beds and clean facilities, fancier hotels have less than this hostel 😊 All staff members are really nice, and create such a nice atmosphere that nobody wants to leave.
