We loved the attentive and friendly staff, the beautiful design of the rooms, and the peaceful location of the hotel - about 20 minutes’ walk from the ancient town. The whole place was comfortable and clean, with nice views (we had a balcony) over the town. There are cute dogs living nearby and a few coffee places directly opposite.

It didn’t really bother us but there is a noisy cockerel right next to the hotel that makes loud sounds throughout the night. It wasn’t an issue for us but you might want to consider earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Also good to note that the grab address is slightly off for the hotel if you order food or a ride!

Honestly incredible - looked exactly like the photos, absolutely stunning in real life. The staff were gorgeous, in particular the receptionist Jennie, who is lovely and so attentive, she goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The location was perfect, a lovely quiet street to escape to after a busy day. We used the free bike hire, so it only took us about 5minutes to get to town. The pool was perfect to cool off and relax in, with great views of the sun setting over the mountains. Good breaky menu. Our best stay in the whole of Vietnam. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with touches of luxury throughout. You will not regret booking here - we had a very peaceful and relaxing time and found this villa an oasis of calm after a hectic few days in HCMC. The location was also perfect for us - out of the busy and touristy old town of Hoi An, but close enough to get there in a taxi if you want to take a visit. Jennie who works at the reception was very helpful and friendly too, and she provided us with some restaurant recommendations that were excellent!

Barbados Cherry Villa exceeded all my expectations and made my stay absolutely unforgettable. The woman who owns the villa is truly exceptional — she keeps the entire property immaculate, and you can tell she takes immense pride in every detail. The villa felt spotless, welcoming, and beautifully maintained throughout my visit. The security guard was incredible. He made me feel completely safe and secure at all times, which meant the world to me, especially as a solo traveler. His presence was reassuring without being intrusive, and I appreciated his professionalism and friendliness. The reception lady was one of the kindest people I’ve met. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel genuinely cared for and looked after. Her warmth and attentiveness made the entire check-in process smooth and welcoming, and she was always available whenever I needed assistance or had questions. Together, the team at Barbados Cherry Villa created such a warm, safe, and immaculate environment that I felt truly at home. Their dedication to hospitality and guest comfort shines through in every interaction and every corner of the villa. I can’t recommend this place enough — it’s a perfect blend of luxury, safety, and heartfelt care.

It was perfect

All the staff are so lovely and helpful! The primary hostess, Jennie, is so knowledgeable and kind. She really made our stay so easy and I would love to come back to BCV! The rooms look just like the photos. The hotel is a fair walk from town but we enjoyed that as it meant the street was calmer. There is a funny rooster that lives next door. It may bother some people but we found it kind funny to listen to in the morning. The pool is prefect just for a dip to cool off in. The breakfast is simple, fresh and delicious. If I ever moved to Vietnam this is where I’d want to live :)

We loved this modern architectual delight in Hoi An. A bit out from the Old Town we enjoyed this property in a quiet street. Our room overlooked the rice fields which was a lovely view. The split level was fantastic for us with 15yo having own space. It does get a little hotter up there, but has a fan for warm nights. Our host Jennie was fantastic with communication and itinerary suggestions both prior and during our stay. We made full use of the free bikes on offer from Babados Cherry riding to the beach and coconut village which are within easy reach (10min ride). The 2nd floor pool was fabulous to cool off in after our adventures. Rosies cafe within walking/short ride distance is great breakfast hangout. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and memorable.

With this position, you do need to catch a Grab, walk or ride into Old Town, but we loved coming back to peace after the hustle and bustle. Be aware that the local roosters do like to crow during the night, but it is Vietnam and you are in a local area. This is life!

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Barbados Cherry Villa. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture and the added bonus of a swimming pool offering incredible sunset views. Jennie, our host, was amazing - so welcoming and full of helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Hoi An, which really helped us make the most of our time there. Overall, this was a truly special place to stay: peaceful, stylish, and full of charm. I would highly recommend Barbados Cherry Villa to anyone visiting Hoi An!

Slight noise from the cockerel next door

The room is very stylish and tastefully built and the host is friendly. The location is nice because it's a bit out of town (but still walking distance) and that's a big plus since Hoi An itself is uncomfortably touristy and crowded. There are some roosters from the neighbour's property that crow all night, but it didn't bother me much and nothing a good pair of earplugs can't fix.

The room is a lot smaller than the pictures and smells a bit humid. The pool was very cute but it's too small to swim (we still enjoyed it though). I found the place to be a bit pricey for what it is, but for a weekend it was not a bad choice for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Barbados Cherry Villa - we loved the design of the building, and our room was spacious with a fantastic jacuzzi bathtub. The small pool is perfect for a quick refreshing dip after a day exploring the city using the free bicycles that were provided, and the breakfast had a great variety of tasty options. We felt very well looked-after by Jennie and the rest of the concierge team, who went out of their way to ensure our happiness throughout our stay and beyond.

The next-door neighbours have a very spirited cockerel in their back yard that seemingly never sleeps. We had earplugs with us so we were fine, but if you don't travel with earplugs I'd recommend asking for some at the front desk if want a good night's sleep.

The friendly staff work incredibly hard and are very helpful. The design of this new villa is unique and beautiful. We loved the view of the street/ sunset from our bath and balcony! Such a relaxing space! The location of the villa feels like being a part of local life with easy access by bicycle in 5-10 mins to the old town and 1 min to the rice fields. A peaceful street away from the hustle and bustle. The pool was a perfect temperature with wonderful street views and afternoon sun/ sunset.

The water pressure was hit and miss. However, they did get maintenance out and there was an improvement. Our room was at the top so held all the heat- could do with a more effective air-con unit that isn’t so noisy. The room is such a bright space so could do with black out curtains- we had eye masks so wasn’t a problem. The street is a nice quiet location but the dogs across the street do like to wake you up at 5am- we just used ear plugs and they soon got tired of being vocal! :) A back up generator for future power cuts may be an investment. All very minor elements during a magnificent stay. These are more areas to develop being a new villa that has only been open a couple of months.
