The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. One lovely man even glued my son’s sole back onto the shoe (it had been starting to come away and we were just going to buy a new pair)! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed happy hour looking out on the Perfume river and my hungry kids loved the buffet breakfast. Good walking distance to most attractions and a short grab to anywhere else.

The outside of the property is definitely more run down than it appears in the booking.com photos. The pool is smaller than it appears and it all just looks a bit overgrown. But the inside of the hotel is lovely, it would have been nice to have better placement of PowerPoints (near the bed) and lamps so we could read

The property’s locations in Hue is incredible. It has a desirable lobby and a quality breakfast area with a great view of the river.

Staff had assured me they’d modify my room to be the one double bed as requested but despite to additional requests beyond the initial booking this was not completed.

This is a huge complex . Would have been really something in its day. The rooms are comfortable enough massive sized bed . bit of overkill . Nice balcony overlooking the pool . Don't really understand why some reviews complain about the position of pool . About 50 metres from the street and private enough. Good sized pool and comfortable lounges . The staff were very attentive and polite . Spoke good English . Big selection of food for breakfast . Hotel was full so a bit like a cattle muster at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in the centre of busy area .

Come on guys spend some money on a bit of maintenance at this grand old place . Looking a bit rundown . And rip those baths out and put walk in showers get rid of showers over skinny little Bath ..a chair and table would be a good idea on the balcony

Our stay at Huong Giang Hotel Resort & Spa was nothing short of excellent. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with a generous selection of delicious local dishes. From traditional pho to freshly made banh mi and tropical fruits, everything was beautifully prepared and full of authentic flavors. The passion fruits served here were the best I had during my entire visit to Vietnam sweet, tangy, and bursting with freshness. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the laundry service was reliable and quick an appreciated touch during a longer trip. The staff were always helpful and attentive, ready to assist with anything from directions to recommendations. One of the biggest advantages of staying here is the location. You simply need to cross the street to find yourself at the bustling street night market, where you can enjoy local snacks, shop for souvenirs, or just soak in the lively atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hue or the central region of Vietnam.

However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. Upon check-in, we found a bra next to the bed, which suggests the room cleaning could be more attentive. While the rest of the room appeared clean, this oversight did impact the first impression. Additionally, the hotel facilities and interior feel somewhat outdated compared to more modern standards. A refresh in decor and amenities would go a long way in enhancing the overall guest experience.

The breakfast was exceptional and had a huge variety. Catering for eastern and western tastebuds. Starts at 6am, very good. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Breakfast room overlooking the Perfume River, with outdoor option. Very charming Olde Worlde Style interior and ambience. Generously sized Rooms. The area across the busy road comes alive in the early evening with a myriad of Eateries and shops. I would stay here again, in a room to the river side! Reception currency exchange at good rates.

Location was very good close to restaurants and easy to get to the citadel 20 minute walk over the nearby bridge,plenty of transport if you don’t like walking. Breakfast was mainly Asian but you could get fresh fruit and eggs so acceptable

Not enough drawer space in the room for putting clothes away, also only one comfortable chair for a double room. As stated in other reviews we booked the room for the balcony so we could sit out at night this was not possible as you could only just stand on it this should be pointed out in the hotel description as you pay extra for the balcony

Staff is friendly, location and view is good. Room is super spacious and value for money. Buffet is good with quite a lot of variety. I had a good size of bun bo Hue at the buffet and a delicious white congee with caramelized anchovy.

The facilities is out-of-date but it's not a big deal because of the price offered. No AC at the hallway. The hotel should let the cool breeze from the river to blow in the hallway if they can't install AC. The hotel should buy a proper baby high chair because the current one is not safe for children.

Superb breakfast. So much choice, well presented and fresh food being brought out frequently. Lovely room overlooking the lake. Good size, very clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Pool was lovely and kept clean throughout the day. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Very well positioned, close to the town. Highly recommended.

Only issue was that there was very little hot water, we had to run the shower for a long time to get it and it didn't last long! Gym equipment was a little dated, the cross trainers could do with being replaced.

We enjoyed our stay at Huong Giang. We had a family double room that was light and spacious with good views over the river. The kids enjoyed the buffet breakfast and pool and we enjoyed the restaurant river views. It is an older hotel, so it is a bit tatty in places but that didn't particularly detract from our enjoyment. The location is great, next to the river and central to the restaurants and shops, the downside it is a slightly busy road to cross.

Breakfast was exceptional and location was right on the Perfume River, within easy walking distance of many landmarks. Large bedroom with a small balcony, which would fit a chair to sit and enjoy the view of the river, Staff were polite and so helpful at all times.

It’s not the hotel’s fault, but a boardwalk is being built along the river and so there was quite a bit of noise from the machinery.
