This is a large hotel that is one of the first in Hue. Consequently, parts of it are dated but still serviceable. It also has a large patronage of local tourists. The staff are friendly and professional. The riverside room has a nice view and is comfortable The pool is large and busy early morning and late afternoon, but I had it to myself in early afternoon. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the 3 main streets. The hotel is good value.

The buffet breakfast is a little too repetitive day in, day out.. The corridors outside the rooms can be loud with inconsiderate guests. Perhaps a few signs requesting to keep the noise down would be appropriate.

Price quality and facilities/services were unmatched, more so considering the central location. The swimming pool, restaurant (serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a good price and excellent choice), and laundry service, just to mention some, worked perfectly. The views of the Perfume River from the riverside room were also amazing.

The hotel is located just across from the main party streets, which do get noisy during the night. This was not a nuisance from the riverside room, but I imagine could be a problem from the rooms directly facing the street. Some improvement to the gym would be a plus.

It’s a great hotel and it reminds of the movie ‘Hotel Marigold’ except this hotel is fully in operation and has the same regal & historical feel about it. Even though it was built in the 1980’s when you stay at the hotel you feel like you are back in the 1950’s. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They organised for us to go on a tour of Hue and we were assigned the best tour guide we have ever had (Xi or known as ‘C’). Rooms are larger than expected and the hotel room we were in overlooked the Perfume River. Overall 10 out of 10 as it would be my first choice in the future as it’s affordable, located perfectly in Hue, great staff and you can feel the historic and cultural vibe. Best of all - no mould!

Some minor maintenance would not go astray but in some cases this enhanced the vibe.

The staff was lovely. Good price quality, good location. Good breakfast, a lot of variety and things did not run out (they were constantly replaced) even though there were a lot people. It was a very family orientated hotel where you could go with your children to the swimming pool and it was full of other children, which for us was great.

The hotel was a bit rundown. They were many very noisy guests, people screaming or running around at night and early in the morning (6 AM) in the hallways or singing in their bedrooms with the doors open.

Great location on the river, with a multitude of restaurants/bars across the street. Rooms were huge, with a stand up balcon y overlooking the river. The fruit snacks in the room were a nice gesture. Breakfast buffet was extensive with Asian and western options - all good. Nice pool area in well kept gardens. I had seen other reviews saying some of the rooms were noisy due to the bars across the street, so when I booked, I requested a quiet room and the management were kind enough to fulfil this request. This is an older hotel, can see some wear in reception and hallways, but for location and service, is great value. The reception staff organised a private dragon boat to take us on a river cruise to the pagoda and Citadel - big thumbs up.

The location is very good! The river view is beautiful and convenient to walk to the restaurants/bars, shops, and Imperial City. The old charm fits really well with the rich history and culture of Hue. Yes the facilities were dated, and they can update the carpets and do a little maintenance, but overall really good value for money. They also recommended a day tour which you definitely have to do - we would not have been able to cover as much places on our own and it included lunch.

Location very close to river and town with lots of bars and resturants to tempt you Imperial city a short taxi ride away across the river or a 30 minute walk Hotel staff helpful full of suggestions what to do locally

Not soundproof enough from outside noise as it is opposite many bars and restaurants ,and these tend to play music exceptionally loud ,until at least 23 00 which you can hear whether your room is roadside or riverside But if you dont mind this ,as facilities at hotel more than make up for this and beds are so comfy and air conditioning works so well you soon drop off to sleep in spite of this external noise. There was no clear information in the room regarding breakfast , check out times or wifi codes

Perfect location with River and city access. Spacious family room for ourselves and 2 x adult children. Lovely pool and breakfast area. Good buffet. Very happy with this accommodation

Noise from walking street on street side hotel. Our first room faced street and music really cranked up from about 7pm - 11pm. Went to reception and asked for a quieter room, they moved us instantly to river facing room and noise eliminated. We were very appreciative of this and the new room was an upgrade too at no additional cost.

The Location was great and close to the town, comfy beds, good nights sleep. Staff in the hotel, greeted us well, help with luggage was available.

There were insufficient plugs in the room, so even boiling the kettle was difficult and meant moving things around. When asking for a drop of milk for a cup of tea, as there was nothing in the room, we didn’t expect to have to pay for it. We weren’t advised that we could fill up a water bottle at breakfast, something we discovered on our last day. They were willing to sell a bottle of water to me though. The hotel was noisy, could hear everything going on in the corridors.

The hotel is perfectly positioned in central Hue. It was immaculately clean and all the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast had many choices and was delicious. Will definitely be back 😊

The so called "Limousine" bus to Hoi an arranged by the hotel was nothing short of traumatic. The driver had no patience with the traffic and at times put the passengers in real danger. He couldn't even have the manners to even acknowledge his passengers as they left the bus. Also as a experienced qualified Automotive engineer I can tell the bus was in no way roadworthy and the rear suspension was nearly non existent. Please review your alliance with this company!!!
