We stayed here as part of a longer family holiday to Vietnam travelling around by train. Instead of a short stay in Hue then a trip to the “proper beach” elsewhere, we chose to stay here for 5 nights and do a couple of tours. I’m really glad we did that as the location is really special and it gave us the best of both worlds. It’s so peaceful and the beach was deserted apart from the local fishermen. The pool is lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The tours arranged by the reception were a massive highlight. We did the Hue Imperial city tour and the DMZ tour. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, and the sights and history so interesting. The staff in the restaurant/bar and at reception couldn’t have been more helpful - great service all around.

Some common areas of the hotel felt a bit tired. For example, the wooden boards and loungers around the pool area were coming apart. Our room was lovely but felt a bit small for a family of four. And we felt that the value for money could have been better - this was the most expensive place we stayed in Vietnam and not the highest standard. We ate at the restaurant all the time as you are a bit limited for other options within walking distance - that was fine for us, and the food was good (recommend you stick to Vietnamese rather than going for pasta/pizza) but I do think they put the prices knowing that the market is captive.

This is one of the best boutique resorts i have visited. Some say its a little outdated, but i say its part of the charm. The interior is stunning and gives you exactly the right holiday vibes for the location. The beach is secluded and the beach bar has a nice Jamacia meets Nam vibe. The food in the in restaurant is one of the best we had in Vietnam. And then the staff….the staff were amazing, helpful, patient, friendly and so much more. Would recommend Villa Louise to anyone visiting Hue area. This is one of those places which deserve to survive. I wish them all the customers they need.

The facilities have a lot of charm and character. We loved it! Beach is wide and beautiful, with long beach walks possible in both directions (see the local fishermen take off through the surf early morning!). The restaurant has a good selection of options. This is necessary though as there are not many alternatives in the surroundings. There also is a beach bar for on the beach lunch and drinks. At the time of writing this property was very good value for money.

The beachside pool facilities were still closed (the main pool is open and beautiful). Quite a lot of mosquitos (though nets are available). We had lovely weather, but not sure what things are like when it is hot or wet.

it’s spectacular pristine beach location with beautiful tropical grounds. The old Hue style rooms and Villas are better in real life than their photos online with outdoor shower and the most gorgeous sunrise beach view to wake up to. Rustic beach bar with sun lounges for lunch and a sunset drink. Loved the villa’s restaurant design with their big arch windows and good food at dinner. Staff so lovely and helpful. Didnt want to move for two days!

Pool area needs a bit of maintenance but it didn’t matter as the pool itself is so lovely. A bit far away from Hue for site seeing. Wouldn’t stay here if wanting to be closer to other restaurants and shops.

Nice and stylish boutique hotel on a mostly unspoiled beach (near the bar). Good food, very helpful staff!

Unfortunately the resort is not as well maintained as expected. Right in front of the rooms an ugly concrete wave breaker was recently constructed with ongoing noise.

The photos on the website don't do Villa Louise justice. When you arrive and are escorted to your villa, the room you see blows you away. Also the pool area is just stunning. This is a series of indoor and outdoor pools intertwined around the bar and restaurant areas. The views from up here of the beach are mesmerising. This is possibly one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. It's a little shabby in places but oh so chic! The staff are efficient and friendly and we felt so welcome. I wish we could've stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Go on - treat yourself to Villa Louise...

If I had to find fault, I would say the rooms are a little dark and the connecting shower/bathroom floor was slippy when wet.

This property is beautiful. Just a stunning construction with lots of natural materials and sympathetic design. The isolated beach location lends itself to mystery and adventure (maybe that was enhanced by the moody weather when we were there) but you really feel that you could be living in a by-gone era. The hotel does need some upkeep and the beach can be polluted on the edges but the overall vibe of this place is wonderful, as is the service. Loved it!

The location is a bit out of the way for Hue. As long as you are prepared to taxi for 20 mins each way you will be fine.

Both of the pools were wonderful. I also enjoyed the big round jacuzzi in my room- which worked perfectly. The breakfast was good, the view was also beautiful. Dinner was nice as well. The architecture itself is really beautifu.

I liked everything. I read some of the reviews before arriving, saying that the property needs "a coat of paint"... well... I would cut the property some slack. Vietnam is still recovering from strict sanctions due to COVID.

The buildings and rooms were just as nice as they looked like on the pictures. Large rooms with great interior. Both local and international food for the breakfast menu and a lot of options for dinner and lunch. Excellent food! A large tropic garden and a long sandy beach with a cool beach restaurant. Interesting tours arranged by the hotel if you want to.

Dont expect to be able to fill up the bubble bath to the brim with warm water. Everything else was super nice.

The beach was rarely full with nice beach bar/restaurant with chilled out atmosphere. The pool was in the centre of the property. It was a bit shallow for adults swimming. Really lovely dining and bar area with friendly helpful staff and delicious food.

The entrance is underwhelming so it comes as a surprise when you then walk through lovely gardens to a beautifully decorated main building. The jacuzzi in both bedrooms didn't work and the television in one room also not working but fixed quickly.
