The bed was very comfortable and lovely pillows, some beds in Vietnam are not good. The breakfast was good, not a lot of choice but ok for breakfast, the seating and view if the river was really nice but I struggled with the mosquitos, being near the river probably accounted for this. You have to choose your breakfast the night before and this got a little confusing, ordering on one menu for 2 people. The place was a little away from the city, about 20 min walk on a busy road, Hue was not very clean and there is a lot of plastic and rubbish floating down the river. The people are lovely and there are some nice bars in the centre, you can get a boat ride but we didn't bother due to there being a lot of mosquitos.

I sent some clothes to be laundered and they washed everything together, not separating colours, we had about £100's worth of clothes completely ruined, I am still trying to get the colour stains out of the clothes that were not beyond saving! Make sure you separate clothes when having them laundered. Personally, we would not stay in Hue again.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. All can speak English. Excellent breakfast with many choices- western or Vietnamese. Love the Vietnamese choices. Breakfast include 2 dishes, beverage and dessert. Clean comfortable. View of river.at the breakfast area. Bed comfortable. Room was nice. Hotel is quite new. Staff helped me to arrange transportation. Good value.

Next to hotel is coffee shop some time with rather laud music. Change my room to the far side from the coffee shop and was quiet. A bit distance away from the main tourist area with more good food choices. Only 15-20 minutes walk.

The location was great, backing onto a river and also within a quick Grab (taxi) ride to the Imperial City. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful with arranging bike hire and a trip up the river. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Room very spacious and clean. Perfect for us for a 2 night stay.

Our room was listed as garden view, this was stretching it somewhat as we looked out to a fence with some plants on it within about 2 feet. But we didn't mind as we only used the room to sleep as we were out all day and when we were back we sat out the back looking over the river.

The hotel and staff were excellent. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The staff would do anything for you. Such a nice time there. You have to do the boat trip as it picks you up right at the hotel. How bonkers is that?

The only tiny tiny thing was the breakfast. Probably my fault as I'm from the UK and don't generally have meatballs for breakfast. Not a buffet but you select from a menu the day before. Food was nice, don't get me wrong.

We loved our stay at La Paix. It is small and a bit out of the tourist zone but sits along the river. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was sick one day and they checked on me and brought me ginger tea. They made some great sight seeing suggestions for my husband so he had a good day. The room was cozy but the bed was one of the most comfortable we have experience in 3 weeks in Vietnam.

We liked everything

Nice looking rooms, comfortable bed. We would probably enjoy the outside area if it weren’t raining all the time.

Good breakfast selection but poor taste. Also you had to decide between coffee or drink (not both included). Bedsheets had some stains. The bathroom didn’t have a window you could close but a small wall opening so it was cold at the time we visited.

Lovely peaceful location, really enjoyed breakfast with a riverside view! The whole hotel was decorated nicely and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast options were varied enough and it was tasty. Staff were attentive when we got sick (from a different establishment). You could borrow bicycles and motorbikes, so although the walk to town is quite long, these make it much more manageable.

Room - there were lots of ants in our room (bathroom and dressing table corner of room mostly, we think they live behind the AC unit). The window frame in the shower was getting a bit damaged by the water exposure. It would also have been great to have a window in the bathroom. Breakfast - Picking the breakfast and time for breakfast the evening before was a bit difficult, but not the end of the world and we understand due to reducing waste etc. Location - A bit out of town, although you can easily get a Grab or use their bicycles. We were fine with a 15 minute bicycle ride, but just be aware when booking!

Good riverside location

Beware, the Hotel sold us a Dragon boat tour which was fine, but the boat lady got very grumpy when we didn’t buy any souvenirs ……. Hotel staff thrust two bottles of water at us as we boarded the boat for which they charged us at the end of our stay. Not the money but the principle……

The quiet riverfront location was a great escape from the hustle of Hue. The staff were wonderful and helpful! They took care of planning our day trip that originally we were going to DIY. Their suggestions were spot on!

The 2nd floor balcony is shared and mostly looks out over the roof of the restaurant. The location is not near restaurants, bars,etc… that said it made it nice and quiet. Also the price of a grab (cab) was .85

The staff here is wonderful -- helpful and considerate in every respect. The breakfast is first rate with multiple choices and is well-prepared. NOT a buffet. Great coffee. The location on the Perfume River is nice, a little island in the river can be accessed by a nearby bridge, a short walk. They have a nice garden patio area overlooking the Perfume. Nice vibe here. Room while a bit dated did have a great bed -- pillows too. Slept great. Good bathroom with excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Good wifi. I would definitely stay here again, you get good value in a quiet river setting versus the major hustle and bustle in the party end of town (which is 2-3 kilometers walk or cheap Grab ride).

There's not a lot of dining options in the immediate area, although smaller, street food places exist. Decent sushi place close too. A convenience store nearby would've been nice -- I may have overlooked one though. These are quibbles as La Paix provides great service with a smile and excellent value.
