Outstanding experience. The facilities, staff, service and breakfast...all top notch! Hue Riverside Villa has just been renovated (November 2024). Rooms are brand new with super views of the river. Beds are covered with plush, oversized comforters. Pillows are piled high. There's a terrace-level lap pool and a tree-shaded second-level porch for lounging. You have plenty of choices for breakfast. Everything is prepared to order. Riverside's staff, notably Quy and Hai, are super friendly, helpful suggesting restaurants and local travel, and skilled at arranging travel beyond Hue.

Wonderful boutique accommodation. Excellent location on the river and few minutes walk from all the main restaurants. Rooms good size, clean and comfortable with robes and flip flops. Small pool ideal to cool off. Just under 10 minutes in Grab to Citadel. Bikes available but it was a bit too hot for us. Hy was a very good host and gave us lots of sightseeing suggestions. We booked via accommodation a jeep transfer from Danang that I would also highly recommend. They also booked our onward taxi via Vinh Moc tunnels to Dong Hoi. We really enjoyed both tours. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty, we had fresh fruit, omelettes and pancakes. Make sure to try the banana pancakes!! Really liked the idea of the free refillable water bottles with filtered water. Nice touch!

Very comfortable, super clean, little villa style room, with my own, small porch, leading onto a terrace with a small, beautifully clean and floodlit pool. The hotel and its terrace look out over the river. Location is terrific and just on the edge of the heart of the city, which means the nights are quiet and peaceful, unlike the mayhem surrounding some of the other hotels that I passed, and glad that I didn’t book. The breakfast is impeccable, European if you wish but they also serve the local breakfast of noodle pho, if you want a hearty start to set you up for the day, as the Vietnamese like to do - excellent! The room itself is big enough to be very comfortable with a large king size bed. Daily towel change and an almost instant laundry service, if you need it. The staff are all smiling, friendly and very helpful. They organised the rental of a scooter when I requested it, and a scooter driver, when I realised that driving a scooter myself would have been lunacy! When you visit Vietnam, you will immediately understand what I mean. My fellow guests were a mixture of French (quite a few), German, American, Australian and from chatting to them, all seemed as happy with the hotel and the service as I was. This hotel is an oasis of calm in the crazy and vibrant world that is Vietnam. Five stars – super recommended!

Great location in a lovely colonial villa right on the river. I was so happy I stayed here instead of a more standard hotel; it was really a unique experience that made me feel more connected to Hue. Rooms are modern and well-designed, with nice amenities. I would have preferred a room on the upper floor for more privacy and better views, but the ground floor was okay too. Breakfast was lovely, the staff were super friendly. One of them even helped repair my suitcase -- thank you! They also helped arrange my motorbike journey via the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. Thanks again!

Hue Riverside Villa is a lovely new hotel—clean, peaceful, and very well cared for. The staff is welcoming, and breakfast was a great start to the day. Just a small suggestion: it would be helpful if they improved the walking directions provided, as it can be a bit tricky to find the way at first. Also, it’s worth noting that the main road nearby is currently under construction, which might affect access slightly. That said, once you’re in, it’s a beautiful and restful spot by the river—highly recommended!

Beautiful new property in a great location, away from the traffic. As it is anew property everything is pristine. The rooms are amazing with very high standard fittings. The breakfast was fabulous high standard. Cooked to order. Staff are super friendly, nothing is too much of a problem for them.

The Grab taxi dropped us at end of an alley way to get to the property. It was early evening & a little worrying as to were we were going!! But at the end of the alley way was a lovely friendly welcoming face of the Hue Riverside Staff.

Hotel has a patio and a small restaurant overlooking the Nhu Y river (connects to Perfume River via dam) which offer beautiful views. The included breakfast was good, especially the coffee. The room itself is small but very tidy and charming. Laundry service was excellent. The staff really sets this place apart -- they were incredibly attentive and helpful and gave us good advice about the area and where to find foods we were looking for. They also arranged an all-day driver for us who was able to take us to most of the places we wanted to visit within a day; our driver was amazing and knew so much about the area! He helped us have an amazing day touring the city and surrounding area.

The hot water runs out a bit quickly. Enough to take a shower but don't linger! :)

This hotel is exceptional. First and foremost, the service is outstanding—they go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing stay. From the complimentary taxi pickup from the train station to the option of using the guest bathroom to shower and change if you're out in Hue all day before catching the night train, every detail is covered. The rooms are great and beautifully furnished. While there isn’t a buffet breakfast, you can choose from the menu, which offers both sweet and savory options. Scooters are easily available for rent at reception for 150k VND/day. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was very good. Located right next to the river, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff arranged for a driver for us to tour the siteseeing spots in Hue. Very good value for the quality of the room and location!

It wasn't a 'villa' in the conventional sense, it was a room with an en-suite bathroom and a balcony. The pool was small only allowing one person to swim at a time, and given there were 9 rooms it was rare for it to be free.

This property is in a great location. It's a short walk to the exciting touristy part of town and the park next to the river; but the villa is quiet. The staff is very helpful and speaks English. Quy does an excellent job of managing this property. The breakfast is very good, all you want to eat a la carte style. Although the room and private terrace are small, the bathroom is comfortably laid out and the common terrace is spacious. We enjoyed having a beer and French fries on the terrace.

Although there is no price list for the items in the mini bar, they are not free. We didn't know and had to pay a small fee for the bottled water in the fridge. There is a free water filling station in the reception area.
