Location is very good as it is close to train station, and stores and restaurants . Also it is next door to an NIH shuttle pick up spot ( the pick up spot is at hotel directly next door). Perfect for those getting care at NIH. Also this room has a microwave and a fridge . Also the staff at this hotel are jolly and helpful.

Could be useful to have a fridge with a small freezer section -to store a frozen microwaveable meal for guests that are on a tight budget and trying to save even more money on meals. I could not store any frozen meal during my stay. I bought fixings for sandwiches and fruit which I kept in my room fridge.

The hotel is well located, with a parking garage on the property. I also liked the bed; it was very comfortable. The staff were very nice and polite, even calling to check if everything was fine during my stay. They resolved any issues they could at their level.

I was quite disappointed with the noise from the AC. It seemed either too old or poorly maintained. The constant noise made my second night far from peaceful. I was surprised there was no toothpaste in the bathroom. This should be the bare minimum for a 3-star hotel.

Most of the staff were Excellent. One was undertrained but nice but he gave very poor information. One waiter at breakfast was very rude. I thought the hotel was intelligently designed and appreciated the safety focus too. Very clean.

See above. But above all the breakfast was a disappointment. Definitely needs more healthy options. Only the fresh fruit was good. Otherwise things were cold (eggs) or stale coffee). So much sugar or artificial sweetner (yogurt). And no whole wheat bread only stale white bread! Few people ate in of course. But nonetheless the waiter was in such a hurry or so indifferent that he didn't explain the dual price situation and also tried to take away my plate before I had finished eating.

Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown the night before an early morning Hospital surgery The room & Bathroom setup were both very comfortable, the 3 extra pillows I requested were made available. We did have to change rooms, the door lock was not functioning & neither our key cards or those of a staff member would work. Parking was convenient. Despite the Room key-card issue & the high bed, my husband & I still rate the hotel EXCELLENT & if I return to the same hospital, we shall definitely stay here again.

Question, I'm 5'1", could I have requested a step-stool? I found the height of the bed challenging.

Hotel staff was very kind and they responded to my questions and small requests very quickly. The location was very convenient; two or three minutes waling from the Metro Station [Red Line: Bethesda Station].

It was a slight pity that the restaurant was open only for the breakfast. However, I could find nice restaurants near the hotel for dinner; three or four minutes waking.

Bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice and I was close to the elevator and ice machine. The people were really friendly and anything that I needed I was given.

Need better sheets and a comforter. The pillows could also be a little bit more fluffy and they need more variety as far as TV stations are concerned.

I had to leave at 3:45am, so the lady at the front desk put together a fruit salad for me, because breakfast started at 6am.

Prior to coming I had a question about something, so the lady who answered the phone transferred me to a "manager." The manager gave me no guidance and was very short with me.

Everything was cleanly and the staff provided great hospitality. Check in and check out was easy. Parking was also convenient and connected to the hotel building.

The air conditioning in the room couldn't get very cold so the room was very warm for the duration of our stay. A rundown on if that was changeable would be appreciated prior to entering, as it was just a little confusing.

Room was very nice and clean, and the entire facility is in excellent shape. Our limited interactions with the staff were pleasant.

I didn't like the price, though I realize it is not out of line with other hotels in this area. You'd think for that much parking would be included, but I had to pay extra for that. Lastly, when I pulled the chain to see if there was a dark window shade nothing happened, so we only had the thin one which didn't block the morning sun. The next day, my wife got the shade to work, so I guess it was operator error, but there was something odd about it that gave me a problem.

The shower was rusted, the price I was told I was paying indeed was not the price I paid they charged me 10$ more which is unacceptable, I got taxed 5 different times when the tax was already part of my final price.
