Surprised surprised: I Selected this hotel based on good ratings and reviews and after staying here, I can understand why people have given such positive feedback. I knew I was in a great place once we arrived. The area is nice, clean and safe. Troy is simply beautiful community. I booked a small room for my daughter and I but the host was really friendly and she upgraded us to a bigger suite totally free of charge so we could have friends over. Special thanks to the host for this wonderful gesture. SONESTA SIMPLY SUITES was such a cozy accomodation with a bedroom, kitchenette, living room and bathroom. The apartment was beautifully clean. Everything you need can be found in the suite, beside nice towels and extra pillows and blankets, for example every suite counts with stove, microwave, full size fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, utensils and even cooking pots to make your own breakfast or meals. We loved the location, close to restaurants, plazas, a shopping center is nearby and it’s only 20 minutes drive from Downtown Detroit. We felt comfortable spending a weekend in this place. I highly recommend this hotel, everything was beyond expectations and we will be back again for sure!

Rarely come to this neck of the woods and never heard of this hotel. Great location, big rooms and kitchens.

The whole idea of incidentals feels like flying on Frontier. You reserve the room at a given price, then when you checkin, they add $100 for extras in advance. Extra Hour past checkout? $25. Now, I totally get the adds and I understand the charges. Now the cliffhanger starts to see what I'll get back in 4 business days. Just like Frontier, when you get used to the game and you can trust they will do the accounting correctly, it is fine. But it is a different experience than a Residence inn checkin.

Staff were always helpful to me. I also really appreciated the washers and dryers that guests can use for free , 24 hours daily - a real time saver and benefit. And the price point is very economical.

Phone in rooms and in entrance are no longer operational. Why have them? It's frustrating when a client wants to call the front desk to ask a question, and picks up a phone expecting it to work and it does not. The WIFI was iffy the first few days, not being able to connect frequently. On days 4-7, I was able to connect, But I only used it for basic needs. Large, deep pothole at the end of driveway before you turn into the hotel car park. A potential tire destroyer that should be fixed.

I overall loved the room. Nice and spacious with everything that you need for a weekend stay or extended stay. Literally couldn’t complain after my room was swapped.

While there really aren’t any cons, I guess the adjoined suites for people traveling alone can be concerning but front desk handled it immediately.

We had a great stay at the Sonesta Simply Suites in Troy. It was a good location for our short time there and was close by to many restaurants and other amenities. The room was spacious with a full kitchenette, and the layout of the room and bathroom worked very well. Also, there was excellent water pressure in the shower too which we appreciated. We were driving by car here and there was plenty of free parking. We would consider staying again if we were visiting the area.

Have not been to this location in a while but the staff is always friendly and accommodating with check in and during the stay. Have no complaints about this location.

nice staff at the very beginning to the end , the guests are also great , so very comfortable . WIFI works well , inside room is really ok with kitchen staff which i wish my family with me , since drive in , the location is quite good and convenient .

gym is ok , if a pool will be nice , i know this area is cold in winter , maybe inside will cause a lot , and if also provide some simple quick breakfast will be even better as takeaway already avaible .

Very spacious, Very comfortable: nice office desk chair and a very nice cozy easy boy type chair, Cable TV with like a million channels! Very nice folks running the place; And a full kitchen!

The room was attractive and clean. The bed was perfect. Having an office space and a coffee maker and kitchenette with adequate dishes, pots, and silverware was a pleasant bonus. I also appreciated having places to hang towels in the bathroom. The room temperature was warm and comfortable.

They provided coffee but no form of creamer. I bought almond milk but didn't notice the refrigerator was turned off.
