Great photo opportunity locations [Cancun signs], beach felt safe, warm spa pool a bonus for Adults, fresh fruit and vegetables, close to La Isla and SkyWheel, refreshed bed decor arrangement

Thin windows/road noise/adjoining room door, slippery concrete (in places), steep driveway, poor lighting in bathroom, Marco Polo restaurant closed for refurbishment, Lobby bar under maintenance, NO AIRPORT Transfer

I loved that they had a list of daily activities. Shoutout to Israel for his amazing yoga classes and Zumba class. They also had a white party and live shows with amazing performers. They had a nice variety of restaurants, too. The beach access was amazing, and there's a separate adults only pool with jacuzzi. I love lovee the pizza oven they had too and the snack bar was delicious. Also, their deli is addicting and felt like a personal Starbucks. I was very grateful that there was a waiter for the pool who took drink orders.

Unfortunately, the buffet was okay. The other restaurants were by reservation only and it was difficult to navigate their reservation website. The rodizio style restaurant was only once a week and we werent aware until after the fact. Some of the bars were hit and miss. Also, the elevator needs some repairs. We also couldnt find the stairs, when we wanted to ditch the faulty elevators.

Likes: the property, location, the staff, the shows, the food. Dislikes: 1) it takes forever to check in. There are multiple forms that need to be filled out to complete the check in process. 2) to make a reservation at one of the restaurants (I.e., ZAI, Marco Polo) you need to download an app, and once the app is ready on your phone, you need to enter your passport number. On the positive side, you can walk to the restaurant when it opens and put your name on the waiting list. 3) Once checked in, the front desk person refers you to the concierges for any information about the hotel. Once you go to ask the concierges about where in the hotel a facility is or what time it opens, or how to access it, your question is dismissed and instead, they try to sell you tour packages.

We had absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Check in was fast, easy and friendly, every interaction with the team was warm and professional. The room was spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept so well during my stay. The hotel facilities were excellent the pool area, pizza, entertainment guys were great at the games. The breakfast and dinner buffet were delicious with plenty of options. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and will happily return on my next trip. When we did not have water for a little while

Staff are great!!! Food /restaurant options great - mostly really good too Loved having the different pool options - you have to go down early to get your preferred location ... people save with towels then go do things all day Lots of things to do for families/groups to party. City buses cheap but take the time to learn which to take for what because they are busy and getting caught on a full bus without air conditioning can be a rough trip. Room itself was great in size & comfort

Very noisy-not relaxing at all. Pool activity microphone way too loud, hallway noise very loud, and worst is the construction of new hotel beside!! Meant everything else needed to be louder and totally destroys what I imagine was a beautiful view! Location - not an enjoyable/ walkable area; so much construction in the whole area of this part of the hotel zone was very disappointing. I couldn't participate in any of the night shows at the hotel (they looked cool!) because of the constant flow of fake smoke they used with every show - so there was a constant haze and incense odor every night ...one night it consumed the whole reception and bar area.

The buffet at Cafe Solaris had a wide variety of food which made it possible to have any breakfast from a light fruit plate to a full plate with cooked to order eggs, meat and accompaniments. The Deli was a great choice for a late continental breakfast. Overall, food service set a high level and the many options were great as we were traveling with a child and teenager. The beach and pool facilities were lavish and everything was well maintained and clean. The entertainments were a pleasant surprise as we didn't plan our stay with them in mind. We enjoyed Carina Mexico Show, a very original and sophisticated music/ dance program. Also a Mariachi show in the lobby bar with a large and enthusiastic audience.

Clean, beautiful, nice, friendly, helpful staff. Variety of activities going on at the hotel. Although even though we were given a sheet listing things that were going on, we didn't really understand it. Wish staff would of directed us towards the area's as we walked through. Example: We were at the bar, walked out to have a cigarette (yes, there's places to smoke out front and by the upper deck of the pool area) we came back in about 9pm and the place had emptied out. No one said there was a show going on. So we didn't realize that for the first couple days that there's a show at 9pm. Drinks were good. Food in the buffet was ok. The breakfasts were wonderful. The beach and pool area were wonderful. We were always able to find spots to sit and lounge chairs. Bring your suntan lotion!! You can take the bus for $1 US that brings you downtown (about 15-20 minute ride). Super easy, there's a bus stop right by the hotel. Super steep entry into the hotel so you get a work out walking up. We did see they have a button to press if you need a golf cart to bring you up. 😉 Room was nice, beds comfortable. They refilled the mini fridge (beer, pop and water). Hard to get into the restaurants that you make the reservations for but we did get a reservation at Marco Polo and it was delicious! We commend the staff for their excellent service, smiles and hellos.

I could not ever possibly say enough about the "Entertainment" staff at GR. They are out at the pool all day, interacting with all the guests, getting ppl involved in fitness, games, and fun .. they make you feel like family! This was our second visit and it did not disappoint! The place itself is nice, the food is good, and the location is fantastic. The shows are so worth catching .. *especially* the Rock Icons show .. Transportation is easily accessible and there are always excursions to enjoy.. or relax by the beautiful pool and beach.. you cannot go wrong. Also, the bus is super inexpensive and quite fun :)

Same as last visit, the "customer service" at the front desk is lacking. Not sure why, but they just are not very friendly or accommodating. Literally ALL of the rest of the staff is phenomenal. You cannot stay there and leave without knowing at least one person's name. This year, they had introduced the App to make dinner reservations and whatnot, but it was not working and we were sent in circles to try to make a reservation .. ended up going directly to the restaurant we wanted to eat at and they were great.

Ocean view room was very clean and comfortable. Never had to wait anywhere neither for food or drinks , Main reason we would go back is staff , they made us feel home . plenty of available chairs both at the beach and pools. We highly recommend the GR Solaris.

At check in , we have been offered to moved to Royal Solaris without additional fees , we agreed , jump in a shuttle , transfer there to be told the hotel is full, come back to GR and had to wait in line again for 30 minutes , all process took 2 hours. I recommend to refuse any transfer. Would be nice to have an adult section to sit at the Buffet,

Proximity to the beach and airport

Toilet leaked and reservation system was difficult to access
