The hotel was lovely and situated on the western side of the town. Quiet neighborhood and great views from the rooms and common area. The breakfast was good with lots of options and the restaurant upstairs was convenient and delicious. The room was spacious and the shower/tub was huge! Parking was available at the hotel and the staff were friendly and spoke good English.

While the reception area and restaurant are nice, the rooms could use an update. The carpet needs to be deep cleaned or replaced in the room we stayed in, and the heater would not shut off in the bathroom, making the room uncomfortably warm. The pillows are also extremely flat and we had to request extras - which the hotel was able to accommodate.

This was our favorite hotel in all of Argentina! The views from the hotel, both from the panoramic windows in the lodge and from our cabina, were phenomenal! I loved having my morning coffee taking in the view of the sunrise on the distant mountains and turquoise blue Lago de Argentina. The staff was extremely friendly, and the service for breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Our cabina was perfect for our family of four, had everything we needed, and provided a peaceful and relaxing center for our travels.

The hotel is lovely, with an incredible view! The rooms are spacious, rustic, and immaculately clean. A great location- just a few minutes from the town but nice and quiet. The most important thing, however, is the staff. They went out of their way to make our experience great. We travel all of the time, often staying at very luxurious places, but never have we experienced a staff so thoughtful, kind, and attentive.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! The view from the hotel is really the ' best in town' . The ' restaurant', although seems small, serves great food!! Only 4-6 choices, but they are all great, with a decent taste of wine. With nice weather it is an easy walk (along the water) to town. But with strong winds, and uphill towards the hotel, the walk might be too hard.

breakfast is similarly standard as in the other hotels in Patagonia. Too bad, fresh cooked or baked eggs were not available.

The common area/reception room is truly spectacular. The views are incredible and the finishings very cosy and comfortable. The room was somewhat old-fashioned but very comfortable and spacious. Bed was great! Far from the town but if you have day trips booked this is actually a plus as you are able to enjoy the quiet and calm. Apart from the rowdy neighbourhood dogs! Would recommend 100% as really a special experience.

Well designed to enjoy the view. The main building living room and deck seating was nice. We stayed in the Spegazzini cabin and it also was nicely designed to enjoy the view and landscape

The Spegazzini cabin could use some maintenance. The wood flooring was soft and creaking lots near the washroom. The grout in tiny bathroom was falling out and starting to mold. The bathroom facilites were a bit small.

Perfect view from room and from breakfast. Nice terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to have dinner in the hotel. Food is awesome. If you arrive you may consider the price of the restaurant somewhat expensive. But El Calafate is very expensive. And compared to other restaurants we tried, the hotel is by far the best choice for a decent dinner.

The view from the hotel is beautiful. The room was big and comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of variety. We used their laundry service and it was quite good, not very expensive and super fast.

The hotel is a little bit far from El Calafate city center, you'll definitely need a car/taxi/uber/etc to move around. Rooms tend to get pretty hot when the heater is on.
