Having stayed four nights at Abbotsleigh, I felt very comfortable & right at home. Every time I saw Jamie, the new owner, I was warmly welcomed & greeted by my name, a very personal touch to add to the family feel of this motor Inn. Housekeeping was first rate, with the rooms immaculately clean & well looked after, with a very professional touch. Nothing was too much trouble & I would certainly stay again in such a very cosy well heated room, complete with electric blankets to fend against the winter chills of Armidale. Highly recommended..5 stars ! Thanks so much Jamie, & for the fun & sense of joie de vie & well being that you bring to your business. Here's to your well deserved continuing success at this very well positioned hostelry.

No complaints whatsoever!

Clean room. Comfortable bed, electric blanket. Close to fast food and restaurants. Tiles in shower clean. They were renovating rooms which shows they are addressing some of the things I did not like Quiet room despite being close to fast food outlets. Having a night safe for checkin. That they are trying to think of the environment with their 🍴

Lack of parking, mould on ceiling and tops of walls in bathroom ( shower itself was very clean, grout was whitish and did not have any sign of mould) That the office closed at 4pm. The use of wooden cutlery instead of metal. Flat spoons make it hard to eat cereal and I don't remember them offering breakfast.

The staff was very friendly & helpful, along with the price, location and cleanliness are its great points.The place is under new management & it appears this mngt is trying to get the place running well and fixing some basic issues before renovating.My budget room had everything as expected for a short stay except for AC. Instead it had a massive wall mounted heating unit as well as electric blankets.The motel is located within walking distance of CBD & 3 pubs for feed&beer.There is a large takeaway choice next door or within a block. Parking is on site close to room.Water pressure is ok with heaps of hot water.The innerspring bed was a little hard for my liking. I'll be back.

The hard matress although the matress may be new as it didnt have the usual 2 indentations. A pillowtop underlay would fix that issue. Im not sure what the room would be like in hotter months but I assume renovations may commence before then.

Not much at the moment, however new owner is working with the new managers to address a lot of issues left by previous owner. It was simple and you got what you paid for. An excellent price. Room was clean and neat and cleaned daily. The new managers were so helpful. We had to stay an extra night due to car issues, then checked out late because of same problem and they were helpful and took a lot of pressure of us

It’s a little run down but hopefully will be back to its former glory sometime in the near future

Nice and cosy, bed very comfortable, cleaning staff very friendly and serviced room daily, left me cookies daily to enjoy when I returned back to my room 🙂 Motel Central to every thing

Would of liked a microwave in the room so I could of reheated meals instead of having to get take away every night but I did have the budget room maybe they have them in the other rooms

This accommodation is in a perfect location for those travelling through Armidale or visiting. The room is comfortable with heating which was perfect as it was cold when we visited. The room size was adequate for staying one night and the bathroom facilities were good. It was also really handy being able to park in front of our room in the carpark. The owner/receptionist recommended going to the 'White Bull' for dinner which was in walking distance and we loved the food there.

We can't fault anything during our stay. We really enjoyed staying here.

Joe was such a nice person. I called a few days earlier about checking in early and he was so accomodating. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, heating was good, and having a fridge, kettle, extra blankets was helpful. Nice adequate bathroom. Value for money. A very comfortable stay. Lots of parking. Staff was nice. Staff always attend to calls . Close to restaurants and town.

Location - perfect... shops and Red Rooster, burger place, Subway right next door. All other shops and facilities are in walking distance. No need for elevator. A a handful of steps for the 2nd floor. Staff was so helpful and didn't shoo you away quickly.

The location is ideal for the Armidale CBD. The staff were friendly, obliging and very helpful. The mattress was comfortable and overall the motel provided value for money

The room WAS NOT serviced daily. Requests for fresh towels; toilet paper; and toiletries were readily provided WHEN REQUESTED, but room service was non existent.

The room was very clean & well presented & as an overall the motel was located in a very handy location for the business district. Plenty of hot hot water & water pressure making the stay with the comfortable bed enjoyable. Management was very obliging on our additional small requests, very good value for the money.
