It was a cold and windy weekend in Bathurst, the weekend that snow fell in the New England ranges and cut roads, and Bathurst was catching the full brunt of the wind and rain. So we were depressed at being in town in this weather and really didn't care much about anything beyond a room and a heater. Imagine our shock and awe when we found every room has a direct view of Conrod Straight and the chicane. We were so happy being so close to the greatest icon of Australian touring car motorsport and can only imagine what it is like during race weekend.

One quibble, the wind under the door to the room whistled all weekend. A spare towel fixed that quickly. If that is my only real complaint then well done.

Room was large and spacious. Outdoor setting available to use outside was a lovely bonus. The bed had been made into a King but travelling with my father, we asked for it to be made into a twin which the staff sorted for us while we had dinner - thank you. Having a kitchenette was perfect. Meal we had Friday night was good - we had the beef and chicken burgers. Location was perfect - we were visiting for the Heritage Craft Trail event. Shampoo and conditioner were lovely

Found the bed rather soft and the pillows lumpy and a bit too high - no other options in the room to choose from. Breakfast was ok, but it went cold very quickly as we only had cold plates available to us. The glass screen in the bath was rather black and mouldy - probably age related

The room was a great size. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. There was no real noise that we could hear from the cars going around the track at night. Parking was okay but the spaces felt a little bit tight and they did fill up very quickly.

The roller door on the parking upstairs closed at 7pm. It had a phone number to call which we tried twice with no answer. When we went inside to have the door opened the lady on reception was too busy on a mobile phone to answer the phones and then gave us attitude about having the open the roller door. We were told the door should just open but it didn't work from the outside like we were.

Firstly the location at the Chase on Conrod straight was unbelievable with the view of the track and The Mountain. The 3 bed, 2 bath apartment exceeded every expectation i had with spa baths in each bathroom and king beds in each room. Although it was the night after one of the big races of the year the staff were incredible attending to my last minute booking and arranged an early check in, also letting us access the laundry even earlier to get some washing done. Chole on the front desk was amazing and nothing was too much trouble despite the huge weekend they had. It has been a dream to stay in this hotel (not even in a suite) and i was not disappointed at all in any aspect. Even if not a racing weekend i would absolutely suggest staying here over any other hotel in Bathurst.

I didn't like that i had to leave and go home, i could live there forever!

The room was fantastic with a great view of the track. The room was super clean and well stocked.

The beds were way to soft,but it is what it is. The staff hardly acknowledge that you hardly exist...we were the ones that took the time to say hello or any other greeting . I can honestly say that this is the first place we have stayed where we had to make the first contact . The hallway light kept flashing during the whole length of our stay and this could be seen from the reception desk. The lighs in the room were so dull that we dould not read anything at all. Quality bulbs purchased in bulk are not that expensive,

Fantastic views. Close to everything and staff was helpful. We had s good break. PS. I'm not sure if this is good or bad story. but while we were there, a kid threw up in the pool, but his mum just left without telling anyone. We only realised when we saw the floating vomit. Staff did fantastic work by closing down the pool as soon as I notified and cleaned up the pool. And we had the chance to go to the pool the next day. Thank you.

Breakfast was same every morning and if you don't like scrambled eggs, you had no other egg choices. The pool could do with an upgrade and maybe a full-time pool attendant.

The size room and location were great. To be able to have a kitchenette is a bouns on any long travelling trips. We had a great view of the track.

The bed you could feel the zipper between the two beds, which made the sleep uncomfortable, which was a shame as the bed was comfortable. Usually, there is a topper before the bottom sheet, but this there wasn't, and after travelling 9 hours, all we wanted was a good night sleep. The bathroom needs work as there is mould, and it is so visible to the eye it wouldn't take much to fix.

Room was comfortable, huge and quiet, just what we needed

The shower is a step up into a bath tub, dont like these as they are a trip / slip hazard in my opinion. This bath /shower leaked water badly, I think it was from the drainage seal under the bath itself. The water then seeped out from under the bath tub onto the tile floor saturating the bath mat and a lot of the floor area. Not a huge issue, just a pain to step out onto a wet floor and bath mat. Probably not a very easy fix either.

The bed was very very comfortable, we actually had to see where the bed was from as we want to purchase the same mattress. The spa was lovely and clean, the other all cleanliness of the room was fantastic. We did not know that the room had a small kitchen as there was little details about what was in the room so it would be great to include this on the website and i did not know there was a pool so i was not prepared for that.

There was mould and alot of built up soap scum and grime on the shower recess and toilet area. Shower tiles had a lot of soap scum.

Great location with friendly staff and plenty of undercover parking.

The room we were in was really showing it's age, especially in the bathroom. There was evidence of other rooms being refurbished so maybe ours was on the list to be done? On site dining facilities were expensive. Taxi service from the hotel into Bathurst was unreliable and in our case non existent. After waiting over an hour for a pre booked cab it didn't show. Rydges staff tried to assist but were also unable to get a cab for us.
