an absolute bargain, 5 stars for the price and comfort Great Value for money. We stopped in overnight while we were traveling back south. Staff were pleasant, Rooms were clean. Only slight inconvenience was no wifi but its really not enough to ruin the experience. fantastic value for money if your looking for a pleasant place to crash or a base of operations when staying in the region to enjoy its various outdoor activities like we were.

The place needs an update outside and we were a bit aghast when we got there, but went in, and the lady was so nice and took us to our room. We were surprised when she opened the door, it was a bit “old fashioned” but spotless and very comfortable, although a little small. There were just tea/coffee with cups and glasses, but nothing more, although we travel with everything we need so it didn’t matter. The shower was old but great, best shower. The bed was very comfortable a beautifully made. We were assured that changes were to be made, room by room, when it is taken over shortly after the sale goes through. I would recommend it as a reasonably priced stopover, and would not hesitate to stay again, but hope they have every success in their update.

Just hope their renovations go well.

Excellent bed! Bathroom is original and as expected but very clean I thought BRILLIANT! Perfect for the overnighter to break up a long trip. Location is second to none and road noise is non-existent so highly recommend. It's a shame the café next door is gone but even without the extra café you will find it extremely pleasant and affordable. Parking is perfectly allowed for each room! I will certainly be back!

Given the age and size and location of the hotel, it is extremely good value.

Patrick was very helpful & friendly bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows, it was a humid night the air conditioning was quiet & worked well. Motel in handy location with plenty of parking & open air seating space for make it yourself breakfast with a selection of juice, coffee, tea, toast & cereal. A message from Owner in the bathroom about the hot water, was very helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nothing, everything was great.

Quaint older style motel, but clean and the bed was SO comfortable. Room had a mini fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, a telly, couch, table and chairs, shampoo/conditioner and soap etc. You could walk to the main street where the pub is, and IGA, Oliver's and lots of other cute shops and cafes. Patrick who runs the motel is a good bloke. We even had a free contintental breakfast included in the room price. You just helped yourself in the kitchen and there's a great outdoor area you can sit in to eat or relax and read a book. Value for money that's for sure!

Nothing really! Yes it's a little dated and could do with a facelift but it's clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and has everything you need.

The room was conveniently located, quite cosy and extremely comfortable. The firm mattress was an absolute Godsend after a 6 hour drive. The grounds were well maintained and the breakfast facilities were more than adequate for our needs. Staying here was like taking a step back in time to the 80's. We loved it 😍 This place gets a full recommendation without hesitation. As an aside, make sure you try the food at Warung Peri if you get the chance. It is without doubt, out of this world. You're welcome 🤗

The bathroom really could have done with an exhaust fan

I was on a 300km gravel bike packing journey and had ridden a very tough 140km that day and being met by the very friendly staff member and being walked around to my room and shown where the kitchen was (so I could help myself to a continental breakfast at 4am due a planned early departure) was really good. The room and facilities were showing their age but were maintained in a spotless condition. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept well.

Nothing really. The room was small but more than enough for my needs as I really only needed a shower and a bed.

great price and convenient location not far from the highway. Breakfast was included so we were able to hit the road again quickly. very clean and comfortable room.

no complaints about the facility or staff but I did notice that the checkout time on booking.com did not match the check out time listed on the building/expected by the staff. We were unaware of this as we arrived after hours and this caused some confusion in the morning.

Service was excellent, staff were friendly, room was spotless. My room had a Toaster, kettle and microwave. The shared kitchen was clean and appointed along the lines of caravan park shared kitchens. I paid the extra for breakfast which was a help yourself system. I prepared my breakfast each morning and sat outside in the shade and talked to other customers and the staff while I ate my food and drank my tea. Beautiful shady spot, handy for shops, pub, hiking up the Allum mountain and the information centre. I didn't use the information centre because the staff had all the information I needed plus more. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. As I drove into it, my first appearance was old and neglected. Yes it is old, old and lovely, it is not neglected, and I will be staying there again on my next visit to Bulahdelah. In the mornings, I was woken up by the beautiful sound of birds. I absolutely loved the morning bird chorus.

Train the birds to not defecate on my car lol, ha ha. This is a minor inconvenience and if I can't have the birds without a small clean up of my car later, then I will have the birds and simply put my car through an automatic car wash when I get home or wherever I am going. I have to be honest though, I did miss not having a laundromat. Lack of a laundromat is not a visit killer or even close, but I would have liked one. The laundromat was out of service, temporarily, I hope. But they are expensive things to install and repair and everything comes at a cost.

Value for money, good breakfast, clean & comfortable rooms.

Instructions to find room were good but there was no external lighting making it very difficult to find room especially considering the room access is through an outdoor dining area with tables, chairs etc to negotiate - maybe a sensor light would be a good idea.
