I LOVED Multiple things About Peninsula Nelson Motel. Fantastic Room for my needs with Space, large bathroom, Cupboards, and the most Comfy Double King Bed. Great TV, kettle, iron, etc. Options a Plenty with Room sizes/Bedding. The Most pleasant Housekeeping Team to refresh Rooms each day. Lovely Pool area. Laundry area. Also, 2 level Apartments for Big Families. Fantastic Restaurant with a Korean flair on the Main entry floor. Walking distance to West's Sports Club, Beaches, Nelson Bay CBD, Marina, etc. I've Loved My Stay for the Past Week Sooo Much.....i've Re-Booked for Another Week to continue my Adventures here. No S#;+..!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND that You Enquire/Book well in Advance, As it is In High Demand ! By Far, The Best Stat in Tha Bay.

We were travelling through Port Stephens not knowing how beautiful it is and so we decided to book a night, the motel was happy to accept our last minute booking and quickly called us back to arrange the keys pick up. Communication was great and on arrival we were still able to catch the last rays of sunshine in the pool and a drink from the bar. The room was reasonably sized and contained all we needed for the night. It well met our expectations with the price. Parking places were available in front of the main reception.

The pool could do with a clean but I suppose outside of the season there weren't so many people using it. The balcony overlooked a wall.

A very pleasant room with a large comfortable bed. There was a very narrow balcony across the front of the room which was too narrow to be of any use even if the weather had bee sunny. The parking area was large but filled up rapidly toward the late afternoon. Location was not great as it was located well away from the city and beach areas.,particularly at busy periods.

The bed was verl long but as a result there was only a narrow passage between the bed and the wall unit at the end of the bed.It was difficult but I think most people would prefer the great bed rathe than a smaller bed. It was not the end of the world !! The motel seemed to be going through renovations. The balcony was pretty useless; maybe tidy the balcony and put some plants on the balcony and look after them

Most of the facilities were very good, including the room and cleanliness. The bed was comfortable, and the location was very quiet. The only issue was that the shower was not working to it's full potential. The hot water tap was broken - came out from the wall - but not giving full hot water. Had to turn on the cold tap just a little to get an acceptable temperature. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay. Could not let reception know as they lock up after 6pm and we didn't use the shower till 9.30pm.

It suited our needs. We had a full weekend, so didn't need to spend much time in the room. Room was clean, staff had air conditioner in room on when we got there. Reception was closed, but staff called us to make sure we had instructions to get the key from safe. We were given extra blankets as it got cold. We were given an upgrade as there was a cancellation and the room was vacant. Staff very helpful and accommodating.

The location is close to most things. Wests Diggers is a 300 meter walk away. The room was very clean and for me the bed was so comfortable. It would be great in summer so we could use the pool. It was great value for money. We will definitely be back some day soon. We enjoyed our short stay.

The air conditioning is a little old and we struggled to get it to warm the air up. There was only one blanket in the cupboard and we could have done with an extra one since we had trouble with the air con. This won't stop us from a return trip.

Nice place with an on-site restaurant and a well maintained pool and plenty of on-site parking. Great comms, late night checkin was a breeze.

The reception was not attended all the time during our time which was a turnoff. When we checked-in. There were a couple of used towels in the wardrobes which was a turn off. During our stay, the towels are not changed on a daily basis a and when we asked for more we were only given 2 while we were 5 people in total. The housekeeping person was gone by then and the reception was unattended so we couldn't get this sorted. Thankfully we had ours to use.

Excellent location, close to West club and parkland. Walking distance to beautiful beaches. Close to Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay. All walking distance or short drive. Motel friendly staff and easy park, off street and some undercover.

Little dated and some lights not working, with curtain open dinner area at local Korean restaurant look into room. No lift so stairs to level 2 and 3. Nice friendly staff will help if needed. Ok value for nightly stay.

Size and comfort of the apartment was great. Walking distance to beaches. Staff were lovely

Cleanliness was pretty average. Looked like it needed a vacuum, there were pubic hairs in the bathroom aswell as broken dispensers off the wall, rubbish under the bed, a cigarette in the bin that made the apartment stink, the dining table was sticky and there were pastry crumbs through the drawers from old food

A very clean and spacious room with complementary bottles of water. We had a lovely view of the courtyard/pool area and a comfortable large bed. The staff were welcoming and provided milk happily when requested. These apartments were handy to shopping and the local club/bistro. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

No negatives for us.
