Very clean 2 bedroom unit, quite roomy and good views - close enough to the beach to hear the surf, easy and flat level 2 to 3 minute walk to the beach (Fingal Bay). The overall property is well kept, and our unit was very close to the resort pool. The pool was beautifully heated, usable all year round I expect.

Our unit was 'upstairs' about 16 steps, but we visited on a weekend when the resort was fully booked. In normal circumstances you can ask for a ground floor unit - the resort has only a small percentage of units that are not ground floor. A minor inconvenience having to go up and down the stairs, but overall not too distracting. The extra height affords better views than many of the ground floor units would have.

What an amazing spot! We had everything we needed in the room, it was clean and comfortable. The facilities in the resort are outstanding (especially the pool). It’s a great family environment and decent coffee available across the road most days.

The beds weren’t the best, but bearable. The lights and fans in the bedroom were remote operated and they were painful. The light would randomly turn on during the night or the fan would turn itself to high, or off completely (this happened in both bedrooms).

Location was fantastic! Walking distance to patrolled beach, surf club and park. Short drive into Shoal Bay and closest supermarkets Great BBQ area, pool and kids play area. Plenty of space in the apartment for 4 adults and a toddler. Only 1 carspace for 3 bed unit but plenty of visitor spots available.

Bedrooms were a bit cold as there was only a heater in the living area for the whole apartment but it was a cold weekend and there were plenty of extra blankets.

Location was amazing! Right across from the beach. Apartments were spacious and everything was extremely clean and comfortable! Bedrooms were decently sized, one big almost the size of 2 bedrooms. The BBQ area was awesome - big enough for a massive family. Kids enjoyed the playground and trampolines as well as lots of space to run around and play. The pool was wonderful and warm and we were in there after the sun went down and still didn't feel cold. Such a great place for a family!

Not really much... we were there for 5 days and couldn't get replacement towels unless we paid for them which was a little bizarre. Also, there is only one coffee shop/Cafe nearby so you would have to drive out to get any kind of food or groceries. In saying that, the town isn't very far at all.

Lovely villa with most kitchen appliances needed.

Disappointing that guest had to make own beds. Whilst I understand wanting to save on washing it would have been better if the single bed was ready for guest rather than having to make it. A suggestion would be to contact the guests and ask if the single beds would be used and if yes then making them accordingly - this will also further reduce laundry as you would not have to put extra sheets in villa in case.

Loved the heated swimming pool, it was actually properly heated unlike other resorts we've stayed at so despite it being a cold day, we had a lovely swim. Perfect location right by beach and cafe. Trampolines were great fun.

It didn't seem like the Dulce Gusto machine worked, tried everything and couldn't get it to work. Would've loved a more poolside or closer to the beach unit location. Next time will try phone and ask if we can make a choice. More comfortable bedding would be great, sheets and pillows great but a softer bed spread/cover would be awesome.

We loved the short stroll to the Beach, the cafe across the Rd, the swimming pool being heated and very clean, the unit we were told we could see the surf and you can, the cleanliness of the whole place and how well maintained it was The short drive to other places to enjoy, Nelson Bay Shoal bay., we would come back.

Didn't stay long enough

First time at Fingal Bay and Seaside Holiday Resort and we were besotted! The resort was in the best location, right across the road from the beach. The facilities were excellent, our apartment was clean and modern. Staff were friendly and fabulous to deal with throughout the booking process and stay.

There was nothing we didn't like. The resort has everything you need!

Nice and clean apartment. Comfortable lounge and bed. We Loved the warm outdoor swimming pool.

I had a call from a female staff member on Saturday morning who said reception would be closed on our arrival on Sunday at 2pm, so a code for access to the lock box would be sent. That code was never sent so I had to call and bother the After Hours Manager who then helped me access the lock box to retrieve our envelope with the key / info in it. Disappointing arrival.

We liked the clean and tidy amenities and all that was included, especially the pool. There are BBQs available to use and everyone who stays seems to respect the accommodation, as it was quiet, friendly and clean. The location is amazing with easy access to Fingal Beach which is stunning and very family friendly. It was the cheapest accommodation we could find at this time of year and are very happy we stayed.

I always like to have a sea view when I stay in Port Stephens, but I can't fault this place on that. My husband and I were a bit annoyed by the sheets due to how stiff they were and they also felt a bit like paper. Would recommend bringing your own sheets.
