Staff went well out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. The location was in front of the Sand Dunes, which my daughter loved. It also felt nice and secluded. You could even walk to local shops and restaurants if you wanted to. There was plenty of beds in the 1 bedroom cottage which helped having a 2 year old.

It is a bit away from restaurants but to be honest only about 15mins in a taxi, which is nothing compared to living in the city. Never really used the pool or park, but both looked reasonable.

Spacious, 2 bedroom bungalow, which was dog friendly which my dogs loved. Retreat is not too big so fairly quiet even during school holidays. Great facilties. Staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. Close to sand dunes and Anna Bay shopping centre. Will defintely stay again.

Didn't have many TV stations available to view. I was glad I took my laptop to access the rest of the stations and paid subscriptions like prime and netflix.

I LOVED the customer service. The receptionist was so welcoming and kind and generous! The house exceeded my expectations and was perfect for me and my friends. The area was beautiful with the natural scenery, and it was so cool to be able to see the sand dunes. Great price for the stay as well.

Nothing! There was one shaky fridge, but everything worked. We didn’t mind at all and personally I think it gives character and quirk and uniqueness. The only thing was there was no oven - but the gas stove was fabulous. This was probably on me for not checking the facilities beforehand.

We loved the seclusion, the peace and quiet, and being surrounded by nature. The cabins are fully self-contained and comfortable, and the pool and BBQ areas are perfect if you just need some downtime. The caretaker and staff are lovely and were always happy to help with anything we needed. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle The Retreat is ideal.

Location was great. We walk to the shark rescue experience. Children had lots of fun in the pool. It was quiet at night even with young people around. Beds were comfy and we had a great time. They provided drinking water which we found really handy.

Wi-Fi connexion wasn't great, but we were on holidays so not big deal. Playground was closed, but fair enough, there was a big big storm few days before our booking.

Quiet and leafy complex and very friendly staff. Our cabin comes with under cover car port which is quite uncommon. Bed is comfortable and the bottled filtered water dispenser is a nice touch, there is even a clothesline at the back of the cabin. Place is generally clean and well maintained.

Would prefer to have sink inside the bathroom rather than outside.

Perfect for a family holiday. The cottages are well equipped, clean & comfortable. The games room, pool & playground were great additions to the retreat. We enjoyed exploring the sand dunes of an evening also. The Retreat is located centrally, only a short drive to activities, beaches & shops!

Our accommodation was perfect for our family and dog Lulu and the staff went above and beyond for us. The accommodation was clean and the facilities were great for the kids with a park and game room and the sand dunes so close! We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to coming back soon.

The location, which was quiet and tucked away and was only a short drive to a pet friendly beach and shops. The beach was fabulous. I also liked that each cabin had a separate yard, so could easily toilet the dogs etc

The running tank water out the back which was accidentally left on. The fencing outside was a bit questionable along with the no dogs inside policy?

The retreat is in a great location with its own access to the dunnes behind the grounds. This made it easy for us to get up early and head out for a walk and see the sunrise over them. Staff were very helpful giving us lots of information. Our puppy scamp loved the cabin with her own secured area our the back she could have to herself. We will definitely be back
