Staff were fantastic! Very friendly and helpful. Great facilities including a very handy BBQ by the spotless pool. Loved meeting the local wildlife but beware the overly friendly possums! They will steal your dinner.

Deluxe tent was spacious and really comfortable. It was equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Loved the welcome food and drinks hamper that contained everything we needed and more! The bathroom amenities (shower & lotions) was of great quality. The koala sanctuary cafe had really lovely souvenirs and decent coffee!

We loved being able to see the koalas with fewer people around. The koala morning tour was extremely informative and we learnt a lot. The park is very nicely laid out with lovely planting. It is all beautifully kept with no litter and we found it very relaxing. Our accommodation was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast pack was very welcome . Our room was spacious and functional. The shower’s controls were slightly difficult to manage. The staff were all very hospitable and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend staying at the Koala Sanctuary when visiting the area.

The breakfast basket was lovely and replenished daily with requests eg coco pops for the kids. The welcome basket was a nice treat with many high quality products to eat/drink. We loved the surroundings - very bushy and quiet. Each glamping tent is quite a distance from others so you felt secluded. 😀. Being able to access the Koala Sanctuary at any time was a bonus and the kids loved trying to spot the koalas in the trees. Waking up and going to sleep to the sounds of nature was delightful! The location is good as it is in close driving distance to many kid friendly beaches. The staff were fantastic- very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend this place for a short stay holiday (3-4 nights) 😀

Fridge too small Lack of cooking ability It’s a kitchenette only - but I precooked before my arrival- but that’s why a bigger fridge would have been nicer - though it wouldn’t fit the space . With so much rain no way to dry clothes and shoes . Three days was just right then moved to a hotel for a longer stay in the area

This is my second time staying at this location. I absolutely love it! The staff are all so lovely, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are well-equipped with kitchenette facilities- bar fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. It is well located- situated close to One Mile Beach, Salamander Bay and Nelson Bay. The day I checked out, I wandered up to the Koala Sanctuary where I met two of the most beautiful volunteers who had a wealth of understanding about the koalas. As a Primary school teacher, it was honestly the perfect place to see out my holiday break.

I can't comment on anything I didn't like... as there isn't anything I could fault!

Went with my girlfriend and mum (who was visiting Australia). Stayed 3 nights. Loved it. Lovely modern unit located close to beaches. Nice and airy - good air con, fans and insect screened windows. Nice breakfast stuff included (muesli, milk, juice, bread and spreads). Lovely grounds (nice pool, lovely bush, bbq areas). Enjoyed visiting the koalas each day and enjoyed the interesting tour. Friendly staff - everyone from reception, grounds staff, house keeping - ever genuinely friendly and helpful.

Our unit closest to the road so some road noise - but quiet overnight. Most units aren’t close to the road so wouldn’t be an issue for most.

Koala Sanctuary is such a beautiful place, we loved everything from the very first moment - not just koalas and the morning guided tour. Amazing place in nature (so well done in every detail), terrific staff, clean and cozy studio with with all little things you may need while travelling (dryer, iron, toaster...loved the bathroom and Biology cosmestic products). We absolutely enjoyed the picnic basket for breakfast (so delicious), scavenger hunt for our 7 y. old daughter, the pool with nice warm water, lovely souvenir shop with a little Cafe, Koala Skywalk and the amazing pathwalk with stops&interesting information about koalas. We also appreciated the laundry room next to the Reception which was for free. Stunning location, all beaches within a few minutes of drive, easy with a child. We spent a month in Australia (travelling from Europe) and this was our very favourite place:).

nothing, all great... The only thing we would love even better is getting the info about our adopted koala monthly instead of quarterly:)

The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had the best night's sleep in weeks thanks to the super comfortable bed. The recent renovations really shine through with plenty of natural light throughout the property. The continental breakfast hamper was very generous and thoughtfully prepared, even catering to my dietary restrictions. We felt truly pampered during our stay. Finally, the communication was excellent!

Its hard to find something we didn't like. The wifi didn't work in our property. We didn't plan on using it much but its always nice to have wifi in our room. The other thing that would have made it even better was if there was onsite support 24/7.

The staff was so kind and informative. The koalas are adorable. The work the sanctuary does is amazing and the presentations are terrific. The design of the whole sanctuary is inspiring and thoughtful. I would definitely stay in one of the many glamping tents. They are way more charming and centrally located than the motel-like apartments which have ugly lighting and drab furniture. The Glamping tents are great.

The room was rather plain and sad with horrible lighting. Tents were much better. The breakfast was also somewhat depressing and plain.
