We liked everything. Location was ideal being on the actual point of Soldiers Point. We observed sunrise & sunset with the turn of our heads. Of course not at the same time (haha). Cabin was well set out, clean, tidy & spacious . Staff were friendly & helpful. The grounds were well maintained & it was a beautiful walk in & around it. The pool was located near to our accommodation. I loved the family of ducks that walk about the grounds. It was a peaceful & relaxing holiday destination. We have already recommended it to our friends & family.

The only thing I didn't like was the toaster. We used the griller instead so it was no big deal. It's probably not even worth mentioning. We loved everything about Thou Walla Retreat.

We loved our little glamping spot, it was comfortable and plenty of room for our family of 4 with the kids in their own closed off section. The day bed was such a lovely spot to sit and look out at the trees and the water, just watch out because the possums will hop right on your lap to try to get your snacks! (We loved this encounter with nature though!) We also saw a koala!! So close to delicious food at the marina, gorgeous sunsets over the beach, calm beaches surrounding which were perfect for our toddlers to play around at. We will be back!

Our tent was right by the marina (tent 3) and surrounded by trees FULL with hundreds of corellas (birds) that would not shut up all. Night. Long. It didn't really affect our sleep, our kids had white noise, but in future I'd opt for tents 7-10 if I had the choice. Also, pool was freezing, wish it were heated, that's not so much a gripe but if I could change anything that would be it.

Glamping in Tent 1 was very peaceful, very clean and so close to the beach for walking and viewing the sunset. Toilet and bathroom facilities were clean, the swimming pool was beautiful, the female receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Location was excellent, so quiet and peaceful with plenty of trees and greenery. BBQ facilities were very clean. Nothing to fault. Highly recommend for a weekend away.

The location was excellent. Very quiet and relaxing , walking around the headland, along the beach. The sunsets were amazzing The marina restaurants and coffee shops just a5 minute walk. The pool and villas were clean and comfortable. Every thing that you needed was in the villa. Sitting on the villas deck a koala decided to come down from the tree and walk along the ground not more than 20mtre.from us, that was special.

It was the quiet season and rainy but we sat on the front veranda outside our glamping tent and watched the ocean, koalas, a possum ran right in front of our feet. It was the most magical day, completely with nature (which is a big say for me as I live in a van normally so am normally in nature). Toilet and shower block was average but clean.

We really loved the area around the tents with the beautiful sunsets. The bed was very comfortable. We liked that the toilet and bathroom are seperate. Reception was very friendly and helpful.

I would suggest to have basic items such as salt and pepper and better dish washing equipment such as a brush etc. Cloths provided weren't ideal.

Perfect location! In a lovely quiet spot in Port Stephens but still close enough to all the attractions. Walking distance to the Deck and Bannisters for food/drinks. Lovely sunset view just across the road. Incredibly clean, lovely staff and quiet location. We loved the sea view villa - did not feel like a holiday park at all! Spotless clean and the air con was appreciated.

The spa bath. Heating in the bathroom would be ideal.

Would be ideal if gate code is on a seperate sheet to the rules to the park. When arriving after hours locating the gate code on arrival is rather annoying! Having it in a promotion banner with your business name I would not suggest the best idea!. Instructions on how to set the air-conditioner to heat would be ideal. Also instructions for how to operate the television would be ideal also. Most accommodation always have welcome book with instructions to appliances, rules and suggestions/promoting local activities and restaurants.

10/10 Glamping Experience! Thou Walla Sunset Retreat truly lives up to its name—breathtaking sunsets, peaceful vibes, and the perfect blend of nature with comfort. The glamping tents were spacious, well-equipped, and offered good views. A unique and serene escape—highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The process of getting our keys and getting to the accomodation was streamlined and easy. The cabin was in good order, though the railings could use a little attention. The cabin was spacious and as good as we expected.

The non stick pans in the kitchen were scratched, and as there were no plastic utensils for cooking, that was the obvious reason. We thought a small table in the lounge/kitchen area would have been nice, the bench was a little crowded and the stools were not comfortable. Even just a coffee table with the lounges would have been nice.
