It was clean, private, and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and shower had good water pressure and easy to control. Furniture was in very good condition, bed had no sags, sheets were clean and crisp, blanket was adequate. All the appliances were clean and worked including the aircon. Carpet was clean, and properly laid, almost new. We didn’t use the iron or hairdryer but grateful it was provided. The glass door was pretty clean, no real smudges as was the mirror and shower. No drips from shower, sink or toilet. Microwave, fridge and kettle worked as expected. Thank you for the milk for coffee. I liked how we got the morning sun streaming into the room. There was no residual smell from the room and also not heavily scented like trying to mask odours. Overall, facilities were well maintained and functional. The location was very quiet, though if during school time might have been noisier.

Room was designed for only two people (plates, bowls, cutlery, etc) and a tea towel and small dish detergent would have been a good addition. Maybe a small dish rack and cleaning accessories for the kitchen would have helped. Would have like a shower mat/ rug to catch drips, and maybe a towel rail would be good addition. There was only one spare pillow and it could have been softer. The curtains should have been installed to prevent light bleed from the streets on the sides.

A good location, on the east side of town which made it easy to leave for Newcastle. The bed was comfortable and the room and facilities were clean. The on-site restaurant, Lime Thai, is very handy and the food was good. The breakfast was very generous and tasty (bacon, scrambled eggs, tomato, toast, plunger coffee) and reasonably priced.

Could have been a bit quieter,I could here road traffic in my room.

The Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Restaurant was located on the premises. The food from the restaurant was delicious and value for money. My husband was staying overnight in a local hospital and I had had a very tiring and stressful day. I was able to have my meal delivered to my room and eat in quiet and relax. All in all between the staff of the hotel and the restaurant being so helpful and pleasant my evening was much less stressful and it was greatly appreciated. Also the fact that I could park right outside the door to my room was greatly appreciated.

I can't say that I could find anything to complain about. It was all great!

Location on outside of town was our choice. The room was clean, comfortable and suitable.for.our stay. Bathroom large with shower over bath, everything we needed in the room. Good WiFi connection.

Only comment is that having an electric blanket for use is lovely touch, but reposition the plug if possible, it was right under the pillow and dug in a bit around the shoulders. Didn't keep me awake but was aware.if it a couple.of times during the night.

In most cases the accommodation was up to expectations and, having a restaurant handy was a bonus,

The towel I used on the 8/9 th. had two spots on it that looked and smelled like human faeces. Something I did not discover until after I had had a shower. The towels on our return trip where spotlessy clean. The indicator light on the smoke detector was not on and we wondered if it was in fact working?

The property was clean, welcoming, with air con on when we entered on a hot day outside. The facilities were good. The beds were comfortable.

Our room. Room 15 which is uniquely situated in relation to all the other motel rooms. There is a gap between the curtains and wall in this room, allowing an outside street light to beam onto one side of the double bed at the pillow level. The gap needs to be able to be closed completely otherwise whomever occupies the double bed on the street side may have trouble sleeping. The room was ok in every other respect.

We booked a standard double room but were given a family room. Very spacious, spotlessly clean and had a microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery so we could eat in the room. Bed was very comfortable and we couldn't hear any traffic noise. We ate delicious Indian and Thai food at the restaurant - very reasonably priced and literally only a few steps from our accommodation. Great option after a long day's driving. Would recommend Forest Lodge.

I didn't stay here as the Booking.com website malfunctioned on me during the booking process charging the room out on the wrong date, I did speak to the lady at reception from Forest Lodge Dubbo on the date I needed to stay there over the phone explaining my situation and she said if I had called straight away when I booked she would have sorted the problem out straight away but it wasn't until much later that I noticed and realized what had happened and by then it was too late to sort the issue as she was completely booked out forcing me to choose another close-by accommodation at a higher cost, Also her advice was to contact Booking.com to short the matter out, I will keep using Booking.com as I book accommodation for work and also will book future accommodation at the Forest Lodge Dubbo with the correct dates as I have already stayed there before with no issue, My boss is asking for a refund as the Booking.com site failed me during the booking process

I don't have any bad comments as firstly I didn't stay here due to the Booking.com site malfunction during booking process and secondly the lady at Forest Lodge Dubbo was nothing but kind and wanted to help me out even though only Booking.com could help me out

The price was very reasonable and the room is really well set up for a family. We travelled with a newborn baby and it had a bathtub in the room and a microwave which made sterilising bottles easy. The staff were also lovely and the location is close to the hospital and the rest of town.

No negatives but if you're staying during the week, take note that it is next to a school so traffic is a bit hectic during school hours.

Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. The added supply of basic cutlery and crockery was well appreciated, as well as a toaster and microwave. The air conditioner worked well and kept the room cosy warm. The Thai restaurant was close and yummy unfortunately they are closing down in 10 days.

We arrived at 3 pm to find reception already closed. There was a number to ring and get access to a key lock box and then find our own room. Again when we tried to leave at 9am the reception was closed. We had to approach the wonderful cleaner to leave the key and ascertain whether they had debited my credit card.
