I was surprised by this place in a positive way. I wasn't expecting much from a small motel in the road but it exceed my expectations. Our road trip plans changed and due to the heavy rain, we couldn't go camping for the night and book this motel instead. The stuff was really nice, the rooms very clean and they provided more than a normal hotel would as for example a mini fridge with complementary water and milk, tea, coffee, a really nice smart TV, extra pillows, blankets, kettle, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, etc etc. Absolutely everything you will need you will have it here.

The entire property appeared to be incredibly well maintained! The room was very clean; there was nothing that screams “this place needs work”. Our room was spacious, comfy bed, hot shower, basic essentials of body soap and shampoo, and a small soap bar. The room offered streaming services and air con worked well. We had microwave, kettle and toaster with the complimentary tea, coffee etc. crockery and glassware ✅. I consider this overnight stay to have been both a comfortable one and also value for money. It is on the main road and also very close to everything- beach, river, shops, cafes and restaurants.

As an older property it was a little short on power points. This said - we had enough and it was not a big issue. The biggest indicator of the property’s age is that older style hairdryer attached to the bathroom wall. I didn’t need one for our stay but it would definitely struggle with thick and/or long hair. No deal breaker.

The main light of the room does not have its own switch, so you need to pull the key holder out of the socket to turn off this light. It is then not possible to switch on only the bathroom light in the middle of the night, without first inserting the key holder into the socket (and by doing so also switching on the main room light). The bathroom needs new tiles in the shower and a new basin. (Cracked). (Room #104)

Our room was super clean and had all the amenities that you could wish for including microwave. The beautiful owner and her staff were so pleasant and went out of their way to help with bringing luggage up the stairs and to our car. We were given tips on where to eat and what to do around the vicinity.

Unfortunately we had late evening showers and the water temperature was tepid.

This was one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed at. The new owners are proud of that they are doing, and it shows. The friendliness of the staff was outstanding, and the location is excellent - an easy walk to the centre of town. Also, the complimentary Wi-Fi is very fast (unlike a lot of other properties). This will be our accommodation of choice whenever we come to Forster in future.

The servo next door is noisy and brights but as it closes down at 2130 every night it is not a problem. Probably the worst aspect of the room is the curtains are useless in blocking out light. Proper block out curtains and rail would be good as when the servo opens in the morning the bright lights just shine through...

Property was centrally located between the beaches and the main mall area. While next to a major service station there was no noise and the curtains blocked most of the light.

The property was simple and clean. The room was large enough and the bed was very comfortable. It isn’t flash but was more than adequate and was good value for money.

The motel was an easy walk to the town centre. Jorg the manager of the motel was so welcoming and helpful. He popped into our room to make sure that everything was acceptable and if there was anything that needed to be done.

It appears that there had been a swimming pool at some stage, however it no longer exists. The beach swimming pool is only a short walk from Forstay Motel, so it isn't a huge issue. The motel is next door to a service station, which was unexpected but not noisy or disruptive.

The motel was in a central location, relatively close to shops, cafés and restaurants but also very close to some beautiful walking tracks and the beach. Our room was comfortable and roomy plus there was plenty of parking space for our car. The front desk receptionist was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here, everything was just perfect.

Its location was amazing being only a short walk to the main beach. Our room was clean and tidy. Perfect size. The air conditioning was brilliant. The customer service was second to none ensuring our needs were met and they were met with a smile from the lovely staff. The staff ensured that we felt as though we were having a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The staff is a very nice lady and gave us a warm welcome. She introduced some popular locations for visitors and cafe and restaurants. The location of the motel is good ！It’s a walk distance to the most popular street of the town centre and the beach.

it’s a bit noisy but it’s acceptable for a good sleep when you shut the window at night.
